Good Morning House,

I need information on supporting documents required at POE for F1 Visa holders ( excluding I20 and Passport). This is my first time of travelling to the US on Study Visa and I will be enrolling in August 2017.

I will appreciate your prompt response.

Hi,

Thanks for this clarification.

I'll appreciate if you can assist with information on supporting document for POE.

To "resume" school is not the same as to "enrol" into school. Precision in language is important, something that will become rapidly apparent at any institution of higher learning in the United States.

Hello VO,

Thanks for your feedback.

I actually wanted to say that I will be enrolling by August 2017, this is the first time i will be entering the US on study visa.

I 'll like to know other supporting documents ( if any) to present at POE aside my I20 and Passport.

Regards,

abujaniv:
Hello duduafri. When you say "resuming," you must have been going to this school previously, so the border procedures should be the same as when you first entered.

Hello Bro,

I really feel your pain but suicide isnt an option. I believe nothing happens by accident, take time to reflect on your application and refire.

Hello,

Sorry to hear about this.

I think the best way to address your case is to apply for another I20 as it will come with another Sevis ID. Also, try and get someone in the US to pay your sevis fee for you via western Union platform. It with reflect immediately.

And lastly, I think you should sue the agent to show that he didn't act on your instruction. Also, this will help you proof your case further at the embassy when you reapply for another F1.

Most importantly, pray to God for direction and I believe nothing happens by accident. God will guide you and grant you favour. Its could be really challenging.

PrinceDekunle:

Scrolling through the thread, I just found this... So sorry to hear about your predicaments. I'm really curious If the sevis ID you will be getting from your new admission will be the same with the last one you had issue with or will it be different sevis number?

Hello House,

I'll like to quickly get clarification on the below questions;

1. Is any document required at POE aside the I20 and passport?

2. Does immigration permit F1 Visa holders to fly with one way ticket?

Monikers please assist with these questions.

Oh sorry, didnt see it from that angle

Its Montclair State University New Jersey. It a public funded university

joeluv:
It's possible but why did you blur out the name of the school. The school could be part of the problem too. MBA Is not a program to do in just anytype of school. Anyway give more details about the school.

VO: Sorry your Visa is not approved.... Gave me 214b

My concerns: I noticed she asked me questions about where my spouse lives, although they visited US earlier this year and they are back since Feb 25th.

When I checked her i94 status there was no depature date on her form. Could it be the VO is doubting if they are still in the US?

Your contribution would be highly appreciated.

Post full transcript. The problem could come from any angle.

Hello House,

I was refused F1 today based on 214B. I have visited the US twice and my family have also been to the US once. we have all returned form our previous visits.

During my interview, I noticed the VO asked me why my wife isnt going with me and I answered her that she wouldnt be coming with me because of her Job. she is currently focusing on her career and since i have plans to be visiting whenever the school is break.

After the interview, I researched on what 214b means and this prompted my to check our i-94 records online. I noticed that my wife's and son's departure dates were not recorded online and they have returned to Nigeria since March 4th.

Here are my questions?

1. How do I overcome 214b rejection despite being to the US twice and returned without overstaying.
2. What do we need to do to address the incomplete I-94 travel record for my wife and son as their exit date wasnt captured online.

Your prompt feedback would be appreciated.

Hello House,

Kudos for doing a great job here!

I have a question and I'll appreciate your sincere feedback. I have been accepted for MBA in the US and my program starts 28th August 2017, I have scheduled a F1 Visa appointment for Next week 26th April. Here is my concern, Is it not too early to apply considering the fact that my program starts in August.

Should I still proceed or I should reschedule for a later date.

Prompt response would be appreciated.

Good Morning VO,

I must commend you guys for doing a great job here.

Please I need some clarifications around US point of Contact question on DS 160 form as I'm currently completing one for my F1 Visa application. I have a valid B2 visa and I provided my Cousin's details as US point of contact during the application, I have visited and currently back in Nigeria.

I have been accepted by a University for MBA program in the US and I want to apply for F1 visa.

Here is my Question:

1. US Point of Contact: Now that im applying for F1 Visa can I still use my Cousin as my US point of contact ? or should I use the Designated School Official (DSO) stated on my I-20 since I'm applying for a study visa.

I'll appreciate your feedback as I do not want to make any mistake that would be seen as misrepresentation.

Regards,

I think its good you write them before they get back to you.

I had a similar issue last year, although my US visa was approved after the first denial but i forgot to mention the refusal cos i have a valid visa.

The acknowledged and documented it in my GCMS file, its smart you beat them at their game.

Write them now!

yemdogg:

Smart move. It's better you point it out to them before they find out on their own.

Thanks a lot.
Austinpee4:

Firstly, i'll advise you consider paying your full tuition fees before re-applying. #JustAnAdvise

Now to your questions:

1.Yes,anybody can use a sponsor who will be willing to expend funds for his/her study and NO, it won't raise any red flag provided you prove and show you have access to the funds.

2.Sure,you can. If you can't prove relationship with your cousin, let him/her swear to an affidavit of sponsorship.

3.Fixed deposit is fixed deposit and a one time source or prove of funds. You can show prove of the FD without transfering it to any other account..You only need to prove that it will become available to you and when.

4. If it's personal funds for a year, it should be enough as long as the equivalent in CAD amount to atleast 10,000 CAD as required by CIC for a year.

5. If you feel it is necessary, you can briefly write about how you have been able to tackle the previous refusal reasons. They still will find out from their GCMS database notwithstanding whether or not you write about it.

Hello House,

It's good to be back again on this thread.

I was accepted in 2016 to MBA program at UNB but had to defer to fall 2017 cos my TRV was application was delayed. ( Reason given was purpose of visit). This i addressed in the second application with SOP and was not ticked.

I re-applied for study permit last Nov 2016 and my application was refused due to insufficent fund, personal asset and other reasons( Savings appears too high than proof of income provided). I was self sponsored with SOA of 19m ( although I got my uncle to move the money into it but in tranches).

Now I want to re-apply and I'm considering using a sponsor, my sponsor is a cousin but with different surnames. He has a coy and he has agreed to use his coy to sponsor me. I also intend to put like 3m in FD and 1m in my account.

I am married and my wife and kid will stay back till im situated.

Here are my questions

1. Can a Married Masters student use a sponsor who is declaring amount to cover total tuition and living expenses without raising a red flag?
2. Can I use a sponsor with different surname from mine although we are cousins?
3. I intend to use another account to book my fixed deposit as i dont want to move huge funds into account i want to submit, is this okay considering the fact that they may want to know the source of the fund?
4.Is 4m not to small for my personal fund?
5. Do i need to write a letter to counter reasons ticked in the previous application?

I'll appreciate your honest feedback.

God bless.
