Felicity001: From the plate number that car is old enough for the engine to have done nothing shot of if not up to 200k mileage but above... Dont buy if the mileage is abive 160k or 170k mileage.
This body doesn't look like first body at all, the paint is too new to be true.
Contact blackbishop or Dmechy asap and if they satisfy it's ok then proceed to pay and make sure the duties are intact.
Otherwise, search other states you'll get better and cheaper ones.
To me 900k is too much for a 9ja used civic o U saw wat i saw too. As for me won’t even look at the car twice bur all the best |

Rollsnjaguar: Please I need experienced advice.
I have been searching jiji for a car. I saw this honda civic 2006 Nigerian used.
The owner is selling for 1.350k and so far I have priced to 900k.
What are mine to watchout for so as not to buy problem for myself.
The seller says car is buy and drive, nothing to repair.
All document intact.
How do I comfirm that this car don't have any problem.
I don't have a mechanic yet to follow me down for inspection.
Pictures of the car below.
Car location is Ogba, Lagos. Don’t buy without a professional advice. Honda Civic has 2 types and 1 is better than the other. Contact black bishop to go with u. The guy is very good at what he does, so as to avoid buying lemon grass |

ThatNiccur: Good thing you chose to stick to the narrative, I'd address the issues one after the other.
1. On whether his understanding about e-hailing is solid or not, I'd leave people to determine that, but I know he gets blocked every now and then, I know he has changed partners more often than not.
2. Uber is correct, they are not a Transport company as they do not own cars, they are a Tech company, that provide transporters (driver-partners) with passengers (riders). Check the meaning of Transport, it should help you get a better understanding.
3. For this, I'd ask that you put yourself in the position of a rider who left his/her house for the market, before a torrential downpour, got caught up in between, you have waited endlessly and the rain would not stop, under the pressure to go attend to other things, you request a ride, your hands are filled with items shopped, how easy and time-saving would it be to clean up properly before jumping in to a car, still under the rain?
I am not driving presently, but when I used to, I chose the Island because most times, the riders here are more enlightened and exposed, they know how Uber works and have probably used it outside the country too, this helps to reduce the issue of coming across unexposed and entitled riders, who do not know how to behave when in your vehicle, which could lead to being rated poorly amidst other issues.
A long-distance trip from the island to the mainland, and back to the island, is better and can help hit the target faster. It's like starting from one end and moving to another end, instead of starting from the middle. A good example is a trip from Chevron to the Airport, as compared to a trip from Surulere or Yaba to the Airport.
Frequent riders, which means more short trips, less agberos, less rough drivers like the yellow and black buses, less bad roads and so on.
Cheers! Bros to be Frank eeh, u r more contradicting |

dru23: Brand matters bro .... Good brand .....go to YouTube ..Project Farm has done series of test on brand of oil...some brand did better than others........
Most of the Nigerian brand will not meet international standard or sold overseas...... We agree Mobil 1 pays a lot for advertising etc ....but they also spend billions of dollars on research........
It is also very important to read reviews .. Just don't buy oil for the sake of buying oil .. Invest in what you are buying by reading reviews......
most of the stuff I do buy I read reviews from designer clothes, bags , restaurant etc ..... So I encourage you to read reviews... This has helped me and saved me money .....when you do read reviews focus on the bad ones .. Try to make sense why the review is bad and go from there........
Project Farm has over 1m subscriber .. He does not sell any product .. He does testing on products from engine oil to oil filter to mechanical tools etc just name it .. He does not take sponsorship from any company...
So I will take his advice over anybody else from either from nairaland or outside nairaland .......
Some brands meet the basic requirement of API and some brands exceeds those requirements.. Please bros Wich prove do we have to confirm that this project farm does not take sponsorship? Am just curious to know, cos if they do they wont tell us |

DMechyy: Right weight
Notable brand
Enjoy your oil. At least you are full proof from buying just can.
Expensive does not always translate to best.
Mobil 1 does a lot of advertising. Guess who pays?..
Peugeot will say use total, mobil in partnership with American spec brands will say use mobil 1, KIA will say Shell Helix. Expect Innosson to start stamping on their vehicles Seahorse 5w30. It is all about interest and advertisement. Mobil 1 gained prominence after they cut deals with brands to start stamping on the hood Mobil1 recommended, and it worked like charm.
In the long run, specification is what matters, not even the brand or place of manufacture. Onces it meets spec, you are good I too like the way u comment ur opinion, very professional, straight to the point without bias. Kudus bruv |

pope191: Boss say what you know biko, civic won't give you prestige out of ignorance and Nigeria mentality. If you see someone that have used 02/04 civic, trust me! They we beg u to treat it well, nah machine. I've seen folks walked up to me and like wow! This is one of the neatest civic they have seen and how dey love their own. But when you see someone that have not use a car before or the civic in particular, they kind of frown face like big daddy is everything and me I don't like that big daddy for anything, it makes me feel like I'm about to hit my head on the screen.
As for review, what I get sometimes r, your car is low and what year is this? So uber accept 99 cars now. Me! Look them with straight face, oga!!! But for rating, guess the below pix will do d talking irrespective of not doing more than 5 trips a day and technically offlines most times. Please bruv which year of Civic are u using? |

donfortune48: The day Dru23 opened his mouth and said that he's now looking for alternatives to Mobil 1, was the day I lost respect for him as an enlightened being.
He's an American citizen (not sure) , he has an advantage to a better life than an average Uber driver (not sure) . But the fact that he can afford an oil of 20k, made him forget that most people can't, regardless of how much they love and would want to protect their cars. Forgetting that all fingers are not equal.
He's not looking for an alternative now because Mobil 1 is bad. He's looking for an alternative because he can't afford it anymore. Yet; people that are far better than him, that can afford it are still buying it.
It takes a myopic brain to think and act such way; without being considerate and flexible, knowing the economic situation of the country at present.
One love bro @dru23 No love lost. No love lost but Respect has been lost Respect and love can’t function separately but concorrently |
