ayox2003: I dont think there is any difference in what I and Dukellan said. Duke just used the technical term "volume" (rush) which skipped my mind. Look at the USDCAD 1hr chart and u'd understand what I said. A reversal candle (inverted hammer) showed-up before things changed.

Most of my friends here know I'm not a fan of MT4. But I do trade with it anyways.

Good one, though risky . I saw it struggling to break R1 and when it failed, I placed my bet, considering that DDFX market sentiment was bearish. I placed bets for 30 mins, I hour and then 1hr30 mins. 30 mins and Ihr won, expecting the last to also be green by God's grace.

rightlagos: @Dukellan,yepdvolume.That is d best indicator. with huge volume, u know u are moving wit d wave not against it. I think we need 2 get d best indicator 4 mesuring d volume of d market. This is how pros are distinguished from newbies. newbies enter and exit anytime by using indicators or other tools. But wise traders watch when others enter and exit d mkt. The wise way to trade is trading on traders' sentiment. @ Ayo, I don't think d volume on MT4 is reliable. It is deceitful & lacks direction.

You raise a good point, rightlagos, but if I were asked to list indicators necessary for success in this business, personally, volume indicators would not top that list. Before we start being concerned about volume, we need first to find a good way of catching trends early. I will say it again, because it is important: We need to find a good way of catching trends early. There are good indicators for this, one of which I've shared earlier, though no one seems interested in it for some reason.

We need also to understand, in my opinion, the concepts of support and resistance, price action, money management and very importantly, the character of the pair we are betting on. When we are through with the above, I think, we can then start talking of volume indicators.

rightlagos: tnx my brother. d issue of volatility is a very important one. D week that I discovered d strategy, there was a friday that I placed 2 trades by strictly following d strategy but I lost. Then I tried 2 discover d reason 4 d loss. But @ 3 pm d same day, i placed 2 trades & within seconds, they were positive. This made me start 2 search 4 d reason. I later realised that it was d consumer confidence report that was released @ 3 pm that moved d mkt. But let me ask d house : HOW DO U MEASURE LIQUIDITY IN D MKT; HOW DO U KNOW IF D BIG BOYS HAVE ENTERED D MKT? so that u enter & exit d mkt ( like a driver gently following d convoy of d president during traffic)

I think it's a combination of price/volume. How far did price move over a period of time? What was the volume traded? That should pretty much give u a good idea of how liquid a pair is.

EUR/AUD is lower than 1.2103 in 30 mins.

prince123: rightlagos and every1 kudos,,please let me add smthing the forexpros strategy is okay as it summarize all the technical..but please that does not take away the fact that you still have to check your chart and look for the best time,,the startegy works but at times it doesnt update to the current situation,,for example right now aj and uj are rising sharply for over 30mins and forexpros was showing strong sell,,the strong sell has been winnin,but right now its rising,,so if you just check forexpros and click sell without checking your charts,,not adviceable,so at times at that situation it takes some time for their analysis to change to neutral,so you wont be caught off guard,kudos once again to all my brodas,,for the meeting i reside in lag,,but am in lag for some stuff currently for few days,,so how e go be.

I agree completely. I think the best time to enter is as soon as or closest to the time the signal appears. Otherwise, it may be wise to stay away and wait for a counter signal.

About this strategy/system/indicator:

Now this whole system revolves around a very simple, yet effective indicator. The indicator is so simple it is easy to take it for granted. It is based on a special kind of moving averages. Unlike normal EMA's and SMA's which lag a bit, this indicator is more proactive and reacts quicker to price. As with normal EMA's and SMA's, however, once there in a downward cross, you should be looking for Fall bets and once there is an upward cross, you should be looking for Rise bets. The key is to enter immediately a cross occurs and project that price would be lower or higher 2-4 candle bars forward.

I have found it safest to enter on the 30 mins, I hr and 4 hr time-frames. This means that if entering on the 30 mins TF, you place your bet ideally for 1-2 hours. If entering on the 1hr TF, you place ur bet for 2-4 hours. If entering on the 4hr TF, place ur bet for 0 days depending on when u r entering.

Now if u want to make ur signals clearer and more effective, add some sort of confirmation or filter indicator. In addition to this I also apply DDFX Market Sentiment and Daily Pivots to my chart. Well, this is just to complicate things. Even without these, the indicator works fine on the above TF's.

All EURO pairs, GBP/CAD, GBP/AUD as well as AUD/JPY show a great deal of success especially when the cross occurs around the beginning of the European Session (around 8 or 9 a.m). Generally, as long as there is an established trend, this should work pretty fine. When the market is ranging, stay away as u'll get too many signals since the lines keep crossing.

That's about it. The indicator is attached to this post. Install it and practice a week or two on demo and see how it works out for you.

rightlagos: it's like we are becoming unanimous on d forexpros strategy. i think we can luk for a way of standardising it by entering & exiting tohether & other stuff. We will all be watching it together but I think some1 needs to carry us along. Optimistic has discovered a better way to trade d stuff. what do u c to that, Dukellan, optimistic & Big boys in d house

I agree. I think we should stick to only a few pairs that it has proven to be effective with, e.g EUR/USD and USD/JPY.

EnterPro also suggested CSM. That would be wonderful in my opinion.

To avoid losses also, I think we should not enter too many times. One or two positive bets is ok till we get a counter signal.

EnterPRO: zonals would be fine. Lagos zone can kickstart and other zones follow thereafter ...
