Hey Fam, so last weekend i got like 4 mails from VFS in less than 30min stating that my Application was being processed and thank God the last one said it was processed and picked up. Well to save you all the suspense, i got my passport and was granted the Visa. I love SA, it's not my first time there anyway but I'm glad i got it again and multiple this time.


I wish you all still waiting all the best and i pray God see to it you get the approval you're expecting in Jesus Christ Name, Amen.

Submitted In Abuja on 5th of February, planed to travel by 10th April. Nothing on the visa up till now.

I think the best bet for his line is a general work visa as the role isn't listed in the 2014 critical skills visa gazette (who knows know? It may be in new gazette to be released in a couple of months). Yes obtaining the general work permit is tedious but it's sure possible.

Things are really slow now with the high commission especially Lagos, i guess they have a lot of back logs and also Covid,by the way Some people who Submitted in January have not gotten response,so you will have to be very patient.

i submitted 9th of February, i sent a mail 11 march, they replied still under processing. study visa processing is minimum of 8 weeks i think

Submitted my application (visit visa) for my mom and I on the 4th of March this month and we got our passports back on the 19th of March. NB: I sponsored her application and attached the required docs. SA visa is the easiest to get once you know what you’re doing or how to go about it.

Good morning everyone, if someone's visa application was denied because of non verifiable invitation letter, do that person have to wait 6months before reapplying?
This is the third time applying after being denied twice

why did they deny the first and second? what reasons

What questions was asked by airport authority?was the temporary residence paid for? Did you book one way or round trip?

I arrived Capetown yesterday, 15th merch 2021. I got my visa on the 4th of March, and had applied since November 27th 2020.
In all of this, I've been lucky to have an amazing supervisor who stood by me through delays and almost losing my scholarship. She even picked me up from the airport and shopped groceries for me. A real angel.
I'm in a temporary residence close to UCT, I'll be here for two weeks.i will commence my house search this weekend. You can use gumtree website to search for accomodation. The accomodation here is really expensive generally.
I have also been able to begin the bank account opening process.
