This is just a return to how things were before failed governance allowed estate agents/developers to enslave the tenants. They all want quick money. They even made it two years' rent at some point for those old enough to remember. You can choose -- as I've often considered myself -- to pay landlords 10 years rent if you like. I thought about paying when I had abundant money, in case I'm broke at the specific time the rent is due. But that should be a private mutual agreement. As I've said repeatedly, the ultimate answer is to build more houses and born LESS CHILDREN. Nigeria is dying from overprocreation and NOBODY is talking about it. Egypt that is an Islamic country with a population half the size of Nigeria, their own president himself came out to tell the people to reduce their child birth not to damage their nation. The only time any government in Nigeria ever mentioned that was Babangida government under Dr Olikoye Ransom-Kuti. If not for the excruciating hardship Babangida government brought upon Nigeria which forced us to re-orient our thinking, Nigeria's population would be 300 million today. Una be rat? |
For the record, I am Ibadan based. Trust me, NO DIFFERENCE. Demand and supply at play. All those saying building materials cost, is it the house built today or the ones built before your parents were born? Is there any difference? Explain why same exact house built with same materials but in different locations, one could attract rent 3x the other. It is all demand and supply. As long as population continues to increase irresponsibly and those of us who no born are the ones even in trouble in this mad society, and houses aren't being built THE PROBLEM WILL ONLY WORSEN WITH TIME. Any man and woman who come together and make more than TWO children are a threat to this nation's survival to the extent of the breach and should be sanctioned to the same extent also. Those with no children should receive special favours. Isn't the opposite what you people are actually practising in Nigeria? Some of my hurdles in getting another apartment is the sanction that agents and landlords put on me for not playing my part in overpopulating the country. Nigeria is a joke. Peace, out. |
The two actions you should take: 1. Start a campaign that it's not by force to born all the pickin in your belle. The number one reason for Nigerian extreme poverty is the breeding like rats that has seen our population double in under one single generation. I've said it severally that in Lord Lugard's book I saw statistics that Nigerian population as at 1921 or so was 17million! That's just one state today. 2. Go and build your own houses or incentivise people to build by giving out vast loans. Afterall, you're stealing all this loans you're collecting from everywhere to build meaningless white elephant projects. Has anyone seen a responsible person who will take a loan from a bank and use it to beautify his house with no capacity to grow it? That's what all these Nigerian governors are doing with loans and free oil money. I am aghast when I see developed nation like the UK where serious debates are held in Parliament about how many houses government needs to build to accommodate all these aliens from Nigeria and elsewhere crowding their country and pushing up rents. The indigenous Western population is shrinking. Yet in the hell holes where they breed these human beings like it's an industry the governments don't even have the slightest clue that they should be building houses for the masses also. God, God, I HATE this country. Nigeria should not ve a self-governing entity because we're still below human level of cognition |

Nigerians do not understand that they don't have a country -- just a shithole everyone is avoiding. Don't even go abroad, just try engage anyone online to do something with and watch how they vanish. More experiences than I can count on ebay online store, so I never have personal discussions with seller or else they'll cancel transaction. On my money. Every blessed day of my life I see the sickness in the Nigerian people and their understanding of how to live life, but I have no power and they tear me to pieces if I voice out. Foreigners don't even know Nigerians are worse than they think. It's a real real shame. Ignorance is bliss |
Tflex01:You are clearly an example of the problem. A bad deed is not really a bad deed; it's just the fault of the one who notices it, abi? What a failed brain from a failed nation |

Haakeem:Some people came directly from hell to become citizens of Nigeria |
Phone manufacturing business is the biggest scam of the 21st century. You don't even have the option of buying a modern phone with LCD screens. They force their scam display called OLEDs which are made to fail. My phone for going to 5 years now is an LCD screen Motorola and it has survived where all those useless scam screen phones I bought for the masses have failed while I wait for buyers. What amazes me about this grand theft is that people are not complaining. Apple is the richest company in the world -- a company selling phones and computers designed to fail quickly and not be repairable. And governments allow this to happen! |
I hope these dunces will not drive these people out of the help they provide us, all in a bid to extort them. Failed state symptoms are unmistakable |

Nigeria's problem is not a party problem -- it is a people's problem. No country with the wrong people are going anywhere. You are wrong people unless you change your values; but you will NEVER |
Nigeria is a failed state with below-human minds. You will all continue to suffer until your minds develop to human levels. No amount of cries of racism when Oyibo tells you the truth about yourselves will solve the problem. Ditto all blacks anyway, but Nigeria own worse |
Love800:Lol. Everyday in all the interactions I have with Nigerians, I see that they don't understand why their country is a failed country. I think you're playing with this o, but in general I glean that from listening to our people. That's why I mostly don't interact. Let me make something very clear: if a country actually has use for engineers, no way that country would be a total failure like Nigeria is where we import even the things we eat. A single person who studied engineering or whatever low-grade version is taught in Nigeria can not by himself perform the miracle; he can only thrive if a system is in place where he can fit in. Like they do with lawyers. When a nation has lawyers living better than engineers, that nation is a failed state, likely with natural resources that they exchange for money (which Nigeria is) |
eminemkayc:You make me laugh. I will not bother to engage you. As far you're concerned, everyone who studies engineering in Nigeria can have a job in the profession. Unsurprisingly it is in the lands with the least opportunities that the individual is to blame for not having opportunity. The jobs are so abundant here that's why we produce absolutely nothing and all our engineering graduates with the means have gone abroad to make a living. By the way, I have over 25 years post-graduation "experience" doing jobs below my degree level, and I was even employed by a major company and trained outside Nigeria for those below-par roles. I suppose they just didn't want to fill their vacant engineering roles. Lol |
Make una come Ibadan to help us here too oooo. Estate agents have ruined house search in Nigeria finish. They're the ones who lecture landlords to hike rents after some stupid paint job. They have pretty much removed any "to-let" signage on all vacancies so that people like me who trek all over town looking for accommodation that would suit me will never succeed, while to fleece everybody with "inspection fee". I have been looking for house for 4 years now, if you can believe it. I have already spent over 250,000 naira in today's naira going to all parts of Ibadan, walking the streets looking for the type of house I want. The last month alone, 50-70k (how many litres petrol be dat?), plus the money that these urchins that call themselves estate agents have stolen from me for "inspection fee" when they know I would not take the place based on what I described that I wanted. Yet as Nigerians continue to born like rat (thank God it's even less now compared to previous generations) and government totally hands off building house, the problem will continue to worsen into the future. What a country. Nigeria totally lacks the capacity to think; we just follow tradition "how we have been doing it since". What a people |
This is because Nigeria is still a jungle of savages. Why you no add engineering? I made sure none of the people after me had any interest in engineering "na me know book pass" syndrome. After years of wasting my life studying engineering, I am now more or less a technician and the complete illiterates who did not even go to any school are the ones Nigerians call "engineer" everywhere. Abi all those phone repairers for computer village, wetin una dey call them? This country is a mess. My only relief is that though I had no proper guidance growing up, I have guided those after me aright, even if they don't know enough to have gratitude |

IPIGSRSHALLOW:I repeat what I always say: Nigerians have NO CLUE how nations develop. Both LEADERS and followers are clueless. Hopefully the crude oil will run out soon enough and THEN we will understand what's really happening. In 2011 they said it remained 41 years. Nigeria is a joke! |

I went to the main file of my laptop (maybe "this PC" I'm not sure), copied it to an external storage and formatted the hard disk. Now, I'm looking for some pictures from the info I copied after putting it into another tablet and I can't find anything that makes sense, but the file size is still very big, with all the system configurations. How do I get it to be like in the laptop that was formatted? (I didn't put it back to same place cos I don't want to use the laptop again) |
S21 + display is available for sale in Ibadan. Some internals also for sale. They are original follow come |
Why are they bringing MTN Ghana here? Don't we have problems with Nigeria's. Nigeria mtn made sure they forced everybody's "Always On" plan expire with data on it (167GB in my case. Can you believe it?) and then few weeks later they brought it back inns clean slate 50% higher rate. I had 20k in my account to pay 100% increase in data because the 167gb I'd been accumulating for over 2 years meant more to me. Every time I think I've seen the worst that Nigeria would do to me, they manage to do even more. I'm now numb and unable to fight back. I've bought their new 9k Always On plan after one month of instability which has made me lose all the 20k I initially put in the account, plus a concurrent Airtel always on plan too, because both networks have become much worse since they jacked up prices. Over 30k gone from this instability and the last time I earned one naira from sales to Nigerians was November last year. What a tragedy to be trapped in this hell hole |
Failed State. Maybe half that number is in the UK only. Meanwhile politicians are thinking up one problem or the other to fight other politicians over control. Lawyers are the richest professionals in Nigeria. The name "engineer" is what's used to describe barely educated technicians with little to no skill. God, I HATE THIS COUNTRY! |
22 years here |
Montegro:Same here. I was just about to reply him. Lines will only increase. I regret ever trying phone and tablet sales business. Only losses |
In this jungle the inhabitants don't have a clue what politics and national development means. They think intrigues and personality disputes is what politics is about and giving contracts to foreign experts to build roads and bridges with money they collected as loan from China is national development. Savages! |
You go gree buy am? Our people are so impossible. Go to Facebook marketplace or Jiji right now and do a search and you'll be overwhelmed. Even my own will show there but all I get to respond all day to is "is it available?", "how much last?", "swap?" God, I hate this country |
