Do proper investigation by asking people around the site itself. A land with not for sale inscription is not a land you would want to put your money because it might be a family land which you might end up buying and would have to contend with other family members. Be wise. Look for other options. Trust no body even some lawyers they discuss behind with the agents. Use notable lawyers.

Meanwhile guys....i can confirm yesterday Sunday evening, thanks to some well meaning guys here on NL, we nabbed one Abubakre Oseni Ademola.....
He duped me of about N85k sometime early in my binary trading days 2014....(novice me!!)..He also duped couple of people ranging almost $15k. We have all been working together to trail him for 2yrs...several traps set, several traps he out-smarted us...but like they say...everyday for Thief, one day for house owner...

As i speak, he is chilling in police custody.....i must get my N85k back while other guys are insisting he pays with interest of 200% grin grin before he is released.

Like i said earlier, Awaritefe can be caught, it only take effort, time, money and XXXXXX....

This is good news. No peace for the wicked.

As an undergraduate student coming to UK, i will strongly advise you use your first 3 months in facing your studies squarely. The reason for this is your main purpose for coming is your studies and getting a good grade is the best which will help you later on in life. every other thing i discuss here are just jobs to pass the time, make some few bucks and survive as a student. The main goal is to be making billions in the future.
As for the SIA badge, any student can do it. If you are masters or undergraduate does not matter.
As for transferring money as a student from naija to UK, honestly i do not know how the current set of students are doing it. If i get anything useful, i will post it here.
other jobs you can do as a student...... let me talk about cash or side jobs
kpeke (i don't know if i got the spelling right): This job is mostly done by benin and delta guys here in UK. They stay in pub or club toilets and will be selling or offering the guys who come to the toilet to have a perfume sprayed on them for a token. If you happen to stay in a busy pub or club, you can be making about £500 pounds monthly and the club or pub owner will still pay you stipends weekly.
Barbing: bro can you barb? if you can, i can assure you that you can be getting at least your bus pass money monthly if you can barb well. when i was in Nigeria, i am sure Teebilz had nothing on me when it comes to regular shaping or haircut but since i got here, i barb only once in a month. You can be barbing for your fellow students for a cheap price.
Electrical works and painting: These are also cash jobs if you know how to do them well. My bro wanted to paint his house of recent (a 3 bedroom apartment) and he was charged £320. When he told me, i said lets check youtube and paint it ourselves. So we ended up doing it ourselves.
Minder: This is a job for females. You can be taking care of people's children for a fee. Trust me, people are looking for minders like mad here in UK.
All the jobs i mentioned above is not all but that is what i can say for now.
How would you get customers for the jobs? For someone who has nobody here in UK, the church is the place to be. That was why i advised you to go to church every Sunday once you arrive in UK (be an active member). Once people start seeing you regularly, trust me, you will start getting connections.
Please all students coming to study in UK, please note, it is almost impossible to get a job that will pay your school fees. I always advise students to have their school fees guaranteed before coming here . You can still survive here trying to get a job that will pay your accommodation, bills and other stuff but not fees.

@dynamitehimself, the security license is valid for 3 years. is it worth it? YES

I will give you 2 scenarios. please note, i am assuming you are coming for your masters.....

After you graduate

After your masters degree, you will normally have automatic 4 months visa but it is likely your program will finish even before the 1 year, so you may end up having 5 or 6 months instead of 4 months. Now this is the deal, i do not know how well you can hustle, but if you have a SIA badge, i will tell you to just do site security jobs which normally starts from 4pm or 4;30pm till 7:30am. The advantage is that you can also be doing cleaning job in the morning while also doing security job in the afternoon. Trust me when i say the site security job is the easiest job for a student. They are basically paying you to sit down and just do hourly patrols. The site will be fully secured and fenced. Even if you see thief, all you need to do is call the police. For here, if you see thief, you cannot beat him or shout.examples of sites you may work on are demolition jobs, construction of houses etc by law, they must have a security on site.

OR

During school

You can do security as a bouncer in clubs or pubs (this is more difficult but some people love it). You will work majorly on Fridays and Saturdays and will be getting at least 10 hours every weekend. club or pub bouncer jobs normally pays higher. They pay at least £9 ( i heard security officers in London collect even £13 per hour).

I am not telling you what i have not done or what i heard, i am telling you what i have done before and most people do it here (doing 2 jobs). Even while schooling, if you do site security job, it gives you the opportunity to read as you will be in a cabin with at least a heater and a microwave and of cos a generator. site security jobs normally pay minimum wage which is £7.2 currently.

Also, during christmas period, there are always jobs for security guys as they will always need you on christmas, new year etc. before i forget, any holiday here in UK, you will paid double. christmas and new year is double pay guaranteed.

Remember i told you to try and mix wit church members and people who have stayed longer in UK and are upright (please avoid people who have no future). The reason i told you is because you may also get cash side jobs as a security officer. That is all i can tell you on a public forum. When you get to UK, talk to people and hopefully, they will help you out.

Finally, you will make the money for your badge back within 1 month once you get a security job. Also, having the SIA badge will give you flexibility and allow you to be able to do 2 jobs. If you have the money, please go for it.

All the best bro.
@olowob
Words can't explain my gratitude for these info's.you are just the bomb.you have made a lot of things easier and I am soo grateful. Just wanted to let you know that my program is undergraduate(law). Not masters and the Program is valid until 2019. Hope doing This security license course Along my Program is not illegal as your example was on a masters program. Because I plan starting once I arrived. Any other survival trick on undergraduate level that will help me in the process of study you can hit me with it.plz also throw more light on the way funds can be moved with minimal secondary market effect on the value or amount

THANKS MAN.

ALL Sky, BT, Xfinity, DirectV sports and movie channels for free.

Requirements: >5mbps internet, Windows pc or android device, Kodi media player

OK, before I go on, let me reiterate that streaming of copyrighted content is legal in the EU, what’s illegal is downloading and/or hosting copyrighted content. What we are about to do here is streaming.

1. Navigate to kodi.tv and install it on your device. If your use a windows PC, install the windows version directly on it; if you have a TV with hdmi, get an android box, tablet, or Amazon firestick and install Kodi on it. https://seo-michael.co.uk/tutorial-how-to-install-kodi-on-a-firestick/.

2. When you have installed Kodi on your device, install ‘’fusion’’. Guide is https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-install-fusion-for-xbmc/.

3. Now, you will need to install the addons/apps which carry the content. I’m a football/sports person, so I go for the sports addons first. You need just one for now. ‘’Castaway’’, get it from https://seo-michael.co.uk/tutorial-how-to-install-castaway-kodi/.

4. If you like movies and/or TV shows, you can get every movie known to man for free using just 2 addons interchangeably. I will name just one for now. ‘’Exodus’’. You will find content here that is not even available on any paid movie service like Netflix e.t.c. https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-install-exodus-for-kodi/.

5. The above addons will enable you watch sports, tv and movies on your laptop and/or android devices in good picture quality without the gritty images normally experienced from your normal streaming. There are so many other addons available for sports and movies, it’s impossible to list all of them here. Research on google for them.

P.S: There are people who do this for a business in UK. They buy about 100 android devices for £20 each, load free Kodi and free addons as above on it, and sell it for £100 each on Ebay/Amazon. It’s normally marketed as ‘’Fully loaded boxes, CANCEL YOUR SKY BILLS’’. Avoid them, you can do it yourself all for free.

Nice 1 following

@dynamitehinself, Claremont has done justice to all the questions you raised and I could not have said it better but I will add to the issue of PCC I raised in the other thread.

Please note that PCC is only valid for 3 months. If you will not be applying for the security license within 3 months of entering the UK, I will suggest you do not get it cos PCC will cost you nothing less than 10k in Naija.

Also please note that to get an SIA badge (security license in UK) is expensive. You will need to pay for training and exam and also the license itself. This will cost you nothing less than £400. This could be a huge amount for a student just entering the UK and with this forex wahala.

So if you know you cannot pay that amount within 3 months of entering UK, then do not get the PCC in Naija (so that you don't just waste the money in getting it and it expires).

Other jobs for students in UK that I know of do not require PCC.

Let me give you a hint, if you have the money, I will recommend you get the SIA badge. Trust me, security job is one of the best for students in UK. God bless you bro.

@Olowo b thanks for the response bro. I can afford the security license but I just want to know the range of pay and what to expect for a start after spending over £400.if it's really worth it.
How long is the security license valid?

Movement of money has being a major problem. Plz how do i move cash or transfer without having to feel this forex problems so much from the secondary market.

Thanks.

It's a cold and dull city, the only vibrant atmosphere is from the university campus and the areas adjoining it. I did my MSc there a few years ago and I have a house there as well. I will be studying there again in September this year for another Masters. The city is the way you make it. It will take you a good few months to get a student job (if you are interested), but they are available and will supplement your income, I did them back in the day. It's one of the most affordable cities for students as most of the residents are on one form of welfare benefits or the other, hence basic items are at basic costs unlike the big cities. No social atmosphere whatsoever though, there are a few clubs but they are mostly attended by the white British guys/girls, you are free to explore them if you wish.

On a positive note, there is a vibrant Nigerian students association on campus as well as a vibrant African community association off campus. They can guide you if you face any challenges. I will be moving there as well in a few weeks to get ready for my course that starts in September, feel free to ask me anything about anything.

Thanks so much for the heads up and info.
I will be studying law from this september too(full time)what are my chances or what do I need to do or know during the study process to excel at the long run as a lawyer there(pathway is immigration law to be precise), what should i no and look out for.
I am a keyboardist and a vocalist too, I play both gospel and soft contemporary tunes(will this ease job search) because I was told lot of churches require your service especially those presided by Nigerians and they pay for it.
How much do they pay for student job and what is the best i can get for a start.
Do I need the police character certificate handy.
Any other thing you feel I should know or do before coming to sunderland from your experience please don't hesitate to let me know as well as any document or training I can take within this few months that can be useful out there. What are basic essential needs i should purchase and carry along that i will need,i would also like to talk to you in private if you dont mind since you are going this sept too.At least i got som1 to give me little Orientation on ground. Spot on. Infact, the NI nos (the letter with the number) is also important as it can be used as proof of adress for opening bank account.

On the other hand, since this is "the giving mood" according to the poster above,let me add this;

If you are a guy (or you are a gal and don't mind doing security jobs) coming to the UK, please try and get a police character certificate (PCC) when coming along. This certificate will help you in easily applying for your SIA badge here in UK (security license). I think the PCC can be obtained at Police Headquarters, Obalende. I would not say more than this for now so as not to change the topic of discuss.

Is it police character certificate or police clearance certificate? Just wanted to be sure.
