Good evening gurus More power to your government. I got some sad news today. I submitted study Visa application on 13th june and got only 1 mail saying my biometrics is validated then another to pick up my passport. My passport was returned on the 15th August with no visa and no refusal and a note to send an email to the Canadian embassy in Nairobi. A VFS official told me it's a refusal and i should get the email soon, however in my online profile the message is that a decision is still pending. Do i order the GCMS note now or wait for a decision to come out? |

Good morning fellow nairalanders, I applied for a study visa through paper route mid June 2019. I did an upfront medical and indicated that i had done biometrics for an earlier application in 2015 which was previously denied. It has been silence since then but i got an email on monday from Nairobi saying my biometrics was valid and accepted and now just got another email that my processed passport is ready for collection at the VFS office. The suspence eh! Why cant they just tell me my fate in an email? Please is there a way i can know my fate as i wont be available till sometime next week to go to VFS office. |

Dear quodkom, 1.I have differed my admission now to September to allow enough time for processing. 2.My current job pays well ,i believe its compelling enough but we could talk offline so you can also review and recommend. 3.I believe it shows progression (unconventional initially) as i studied theatre arts ,worked as customer service, customer service or operations mgr in a bank,now i work as snr consultant business process improvement (financial services).Now i want to do an M.A in leadership business.. Could you please permit me to email you my SOP? Kindly send your email address if okay by you. Also on my rejection,i want to send you a doc to advice me on how to write my letter of explanation. I studied theatre arts and graduated in 2003. Served in 2004, finished in 2005 Feb . Started work in the bank in 2005 August as teller then customer service head and head branch operations. Stopped bank work Oct 2017. Started work as snr business process analyst January 2019. Got admission to study M.A Leadership business. I tried to tie my interest in the course to my experience as a supervisor in the bank and current job and my desire to improve upon my leadership skills best practices in the business space. |

Qudkom:Good evening, My school has two start times January and july).I deffered my admission to july but was unable to commence tge application till now. So I have started gathering my documents and although my hubby is my sponsor, part of what I need for myself is reference letter from employer, at least 4 months bank statement . I just started work here in January so have only 3 months statement, do you think this can work instead of 4 months? I wanted to apply this month end and wonder if I can make it for the July resumption considering the processing time as next January is really far!! I have the fff docs: Consent letter from hubby Letter of sponsorship His reference letter Employment letter and ID Pay slips and statement Pension reference letter Marriage certificate New paper report Police certificate My work Work reference letter (new job I atar5ed 2019 Jan) Account stqtement(3 months) Work reference letter Passport photo Wedding pictures Family pix for us all SOP letter of admission showing tuition of 24k CAD and 10K CAD tuition deposit SO balance of 14k. Hello nairalanders , I must say this thread is highly informative as I followed every page as it has helped me in getting my admission in M.A leadership (business stream) Trinity western University B.C Canada. I am at the point of applying for my study visa but have these concerns.Please note that I was previously denied a Canadian study visa in 2016 due to the ffg: 1.I failed to indicate that I was denied a US visa previously. 2.The V.O stated that I didn't show sufficient ties to Nigeria. 3.The course of study was a certificate course in conestoga colledge. I studied Dramatic arts graduating with a 2:1 Since 2003 served from 2004 to Feb 2005 and started work in a bank in August 2005 . Stopped work in oct 2017 as an Operations manager then got a another job in a consulting firm in Jan 2019 where I work currently as a business analyst. My question is how do I write a compelling SOP to facilitate my study visa application bearing in mind the gaps in education and time off work.Kindly note that my husband is my sponsor and I am not travelling with him or our kids. I am anticipating helpful feed backs from our able experts. Thank you in advance. |

Good morning all, I am new to this forum and have been checking all past threads for an answer to my question so as not to be chewed.. I am pregnant and want to apply for a US visa for the purpose of giving birth. My hubby n son also are applying for a visa as well. I had applied two years ago but was denied even after I admitted that I was pregnant. The reason was that I didn't show sufficient social ties n Nigeria (I had my marriage certificate). I feel I have to apply with my family to avoid disappointments and Pls want do I need to present at the interview to ensure I am not denied again as I am trying to apply before year end cause am due March 2016. Tnx in anticipation. |
