Manchester City will be without six senior players for Wednesday's Champions League trip to Juventus.

City, who have already qualified for the last 16, are missing defenders Eliaquim Mangala, Pablo Zabaleta and Vincent Kompany, midfielders Samir Nasri and David Silva, and striker Wilfried Bony.

"We have a difficult situation," said manager Manuel Pellegrini.

"It's a test to win in a difficult stadium against a strong team."

City lead Juventus by a point at the top of Group D and will confirm their place as group winners - and with it a seeding in the draw for the last 16 - with victory in Turin.

"Everyone criticised this club about their performances in Europe," said Pellegrini of City, who have never been past the last 16 in the Champions League. "So it's important for us to have achievements and one of those is to qualify for the last 16.

"Finishing top doesn't mean we'll get an easy draw as it depends on a lot of things."

Real Madrid manager Rafa Benitez believes he still has the support of his players and says there is no conflict with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Benitez thanked Real president Florentino Perez for his vote of confidence on Monday, which followed a 4-0 home defeat by Barcelona.

"I am absolutely confident that players still trust me," said the 55-year-old.

On reported tension with Ronaldo, he added: "This is not true. Cristiano is an important player to our team."

Boss Jose Mourinho says Chelsea players are "getting their confidence back" as they prepare for Tuesday's Champions League tie at Maccabi Tel Aviv.

The Blues are 15th in the Premier League, but ended a run of three straight defeats in the competition by beating Norwich 1-0 on Saturday.

"We are very disappointed with the bad results we had for a significant period of time," said Mourinho.
