IT IS TIME FOR APC TO TAKE OVER THE SOUTHERN NIGERIA SAYS HON ENEUKWU.

As the highly anticipated National convention of the All Progressives Congress APC has come and gone, the party has reiterated her commitment in making southern Nigeria, her fortress.

The Newly elected Deputy National Chairman South APC, Hon Emma Eneukwu made this known, through a commendation speech sent to newsmen.

He stated that, the party is now more United, indivisible and more committed to deliver the dividends of democracy to all Nigerians.

Hon Eneukwu also expressed his unalloyed, immeasurable and unquantifiable encomium to President Mohammadu Buhari, all the leaders of APC across Nigeria, party faithfuls amongst others for their unwavering support and prayers all through the Convention period, saying that, they were what, made his Victory a reality.

"I Thank God for making the highly anticipated National convention of our great party a success"

"Many had thought that, it will not happen, some said, APC will not leave up till April 2023, but God has shamed them"

"I want to in a Special way, appreciate the efforts of the President of the Federal republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari for providing the necessary leadership for the party especially, when it was mostly needed"

DR BEN NWOYE IN TEARS FOLLOWING THE ENDORSEMENT OF HON EMMA ENUKWU BY APC.

In what appears to be a fatal blow at the on going National convention of the All Progressives Congress APC at Eagle Square, the former state Chairman of the party and an ardent supporter of the aspiration of Senator Ken Nnamani was pictured crying following the endorsement of Hon Emma Enukwu by the National leadership of the party.

It was gathered that the former Chairman, whose Group were abandoned at a Hotel in Lugbe area of Abuja, was in a sober mood and felt very bad.

His Group were chased out of the lugbe Hotel and invaded him at Tamara Hotel, Zone 3 area of Wuse where, he started crying on seeing them.

Reports also had it that, They were equally not allowed into the Convention arena because, the part does not recognise them.

APC ENUGU MEMBERS MOBILISED TO FIGHT AGAINST ENUKWU, DISAPPOINTED.

In what looks to be a heavy blow and final retirement of the APC Enugu faction, led by Comrade Ac Ude, the Group is in a serious crisis over what They called "Colossal disgrace" by their leaders.

It was gathered that over 150 of them were mobilised in 10 okeyson buses to Abuja with a Fake promise of being presented with a delegates Tag, which They would use to vote against the Candidacy of Hon Emma Enukwu.

It was also gathered that those promises were all Fake but a strategy used to deceive them coming to Abuja with aim of using them to protest against the Candidacy of Hon Emma Eneukwu and also Show their preference of Senator Ken Nnamani.

The plan was to use the acclaimed mainstream members to demarket Hon Eneukwu and propagate Sen Ken Nnamani who was alleged to have given their leaders ₦5,000 000,(Five Million Naira).

According to one of the Local Government Secretaries who spoke to eagleeye on the condition of anonymity, he stated that, their Group was disappointed to the brim as they fell betrayed by their leaders, who brought them all the way from Enugu to Abuja in a Ac Bus, just to disgrace them.

He stated that, it was only the goodwill of one of them from Awgu, who paid for 9 rooms in a Hotel at Lugbe that saved some them; especially their women as others who could not be accommodated,slept outside.

"As you can see, we are not just sad but feel heavily deceived"

"I left my pregnant Wife to be here, just to support Sen Ken Nnamani, only to discover that, the former Senate President is not even aware of our coming"

"We were left outside till one of us from Awgu came to our rescue and paid for 9 rooms in a Hotel for us and also a further ₦50,000 for other services like water"

"We slept outside including some of our young women who came with us. There is no way, 9 rooms can accommodate 150 people"

"We are hopeless and hapless and feel they want to use us against our own, Hon Emma Enukwu"

It was also reported that, the Local Government Chairmen under the mainstream of the party, has agreed to fight back whoever that plotted this evil against them.

They stated that, none of their leaders deem it fit to come and address them not even their Chairman and vehemently perplexed at why They brought them to Abuja in the First place.

One of them who spoke to us on the condition of anonymity stated as thus "As elected Chairman of the party in our Group, we were told that, Our leadership has reconciled with Sen Ken Nnamani; which i objected from the day one"

"We were deceived with incongruous lies that delegates tags would be given to us but, it is a lie"

"Our leaders are not truthful to us at all, they want to use us to fight our own, at Eagle square"

"Some are saying that Sen Nnamani lied to them, but it was a lie; he had an agreement with them, paid and yet, they cannot muster out money to pay for our accommodation"

However when interviewed, a caucus member of the Group, revealed that, They are ashamed of themselves because, their plans failed woefully.

He stated that, it was all about disgracing Hon Emma Enukwu, which was a plan hatched with a former House of reps Candidate of the party in Enugu North and South Federal constituency, who is also the Special Assistant to the President on youth mobilization.

He opined that, the SA to the President on youth mobilization agreed to pay for their expenses, which he mobilised them but, started withdrawing later.

"This is a failed mission. We have been entered their trap, lost our respect to our members and left in limbo"

"Hon Nelson Arum promised to carter for the expenses and assured us that, all would be well"

*Zoning, a Case for Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency*

Zoning has found itself in the discourse of Nigerian politics on account of our heterogeneity. Zoning douses the feelings of subjugation and marginalization in the union where allegiances are owed to the ethnic divides. Zoning, therefore has become the cord that binds the thawed viscosity of our union. Zoning is implied in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as federal character. It is a conscious effort to ensure that the six zonal structures that constitute Nigeria are evenly represented in the sharing of political offices. This understanding has permeated all the tiers of government and has become the tradition in Nigeria. So, in the light of this, zoning does not sail on the surface of the zones; it percolates into the inner recesses of the zonal structures.

The popular view in Enugu State is that it is the turn of Enugu East Senatorial Zone to produce Governor Ugwuanyi's successor. The expectation is that the same principles of zoning should be applied at the Enugu East Senatorial Zone to make for inclusivity, justice, equity and fairplay. Zoning has historical application and the truth of history sustains it. The historical truth is that only one out of the three constituencies in the zone has yet to produce a governor and that is Enugu East Federal/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency. At the state level, we look at the senatorial zones and at the zonal level, consideration is given to federal constituencies that constitute the zones. Since Enugu North/Enugu South and Nkanu West/ Nkanu East Federal constituencies have had governors from their places, equity demands that Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency be given a chance to produce Ugwuanyi's successor in the spirit of the truth of zoning: equity, justice, fairplay and inclusivity. If this is not done, then the argument for zoning is defeated abinitio.

Enugu East Senatorial Zone has three federal constituencies: Enugu North/ Enugu South Federal Constituency, Nkanu West/Nkanu East Federal Constituency and Enugu East/ Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency. These constituencies are constitutionally recognized and take precedence over the local governments. Enugu North/Enugu North Federal Constituency had in the past produced Chief Jim Nwobodo and Late C.C. Onoh as governors and recently Nkanu West/Nkanu East Federal Constituency produced Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani who held sway as the governor of Enugu State for 8 years, from 1999 to 2007. Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency has no so much as heard of a governor to say nothing of producing one. Now that power is returning to Enugu East Senatorial Zone, it can only be fair and equitable that consideration be given to the weeping constituency, Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency.

In the discourse of 2023 power shift to Enugu East Senatorial Zone, undue emphasis has been being placed on local governments without due consideration to the main structures that constitute the zone. Enugu State is made up of three senatorial structures: Enugu North, West and East. Since the zoning of the governorship seat revolves around these zones, it is also important to note that at Enugu East Senatorial Zone, there are three structural constituents and they are the three federal constituencies. While the zone is constituted by three federal constituencies, the constituencies are made up of the local governments. Each of the constituency is made up of two local governments. So, the zone is not made up of local governments. It is rather made up of the federal constituencies. Therefore, the constituencies should precede the local governments in terms of micro-zoning. There is no reason why the federal constituencies should be skipped when they are recognized constitutional structures.

Therefore, it is only when the seat is zoned to the seemingly marginalized Enugu East/ Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency that the two local governments that constitute it can be given a consideration based on who has taken what.

At this constituency, Enugu East Local Government has taken a shut at the Senate for 8 years and has also represented the federal constituency at the House of Representatives on two occasions. The member currently representing the constituency at the House of Representatives is Hon. Cornelius Nnaji from Enugu East Local Government. Isi-Uzo too has represented the constituency on two occasions. By implication, Enugu East Local Government has an edge over Isi-Uzo, for having been to the senate. In consideration of equity, justice and fairplay, the governorship seat should be conceded to Isi-Uzo. By so doing, zoning and its attendant benefits of inclusivity, justice, equity and fairplay shall have been exhaustively applied in such a manner that it penetrates the innermost recesses of the zone.

As the date slated for the National Convention of the All Progressives Congress APC draws nearer, one of the aspirants running for position of the Deputy National Chairman South and also a front line runner, Hon Emma Eneukwu, seems to be most popular Candidate amongst others.

This is because of the solidarity Shown to him by critical stakeholders in the party across the Federation.

In the latest Development, A popular Political movement in South East APC, known as the South East youth Advocacy Movement for All Progressives Congress APC, a Political group that have their structures in all the Political wards across the 5 states in the zone, has come out open to support the candidacy of Hon Emma Eneukwu.

The Group, who are also the sort after Group in South East APC based on having over 35% of her members, who are delegates of the party.

It has also been confirmed that, they have more than 8 members,who are either the party's Local Government Chairman or Secretary, per South Eastern State.

Speaking with Newsmen in Abuja on Friday, after their NEC meeting, which lasted for 6 hours and finished by 6am, the leader of the Group, Hon Ndubuisi Agu stated that, They arrived at the candidacy of Hon Eneukwu after making an in dept analysis of 2 candidates fighting for the position from South East and Enugu State in particular.

He stated that, some of the criteria They examined includes, party antecedents, leadership prowess, age,(youthfulness) acceptability and integrity.

He opined that, after rigorous comments from their members, they agreed to stand for Hon Eneukwu and support him.

It was gathered that, the attack is coming from Enugu State chapter of the party by some members who are opposed to Governor Uzodimma's Progressive achievements in the party since he assumed Office, as the South East Leader of the party and angry that, the Governor is not giving their boss, a Former Senate President, who is vying for the position of the deputy National Chairman South .

It was also reported that those targeted are Dr Ijeoma Arodiogbu and Hon Emma Enukwu because of their distinguished reputation in the party and growing supports across the country by the party faithfuls as well as loyalty to Governor Hope Uzodinma .

Sources who released information to newsmen stated that, Hon Eneukwu would be receiving some attacks which could have been worse had 3 Boys recruited by those loyal to a Former Senate President from Enugu State, not resigned their sinister work earlier on Tuesday; following reports, that their pay Masters have refused to respect the terms of their engagement.


Hon Eneukwu and Dr Ijeoma Arodiogbu has been tipped by Political analyst and pundits, as the in coming Deputy National Chairman South and National Vice Chairman, South East of the All Progressives Congress Based on their track records in the party and also growing popularity amongst the party delegates .

Hon Eneukwu had earlier on Wednesday after being screened by APC National convention screening subcommittee reiterated his commitment towards promoting the party and making it a strong hold in the southern part of

One of the boys by name :Edeh Hillary, a native of Amechi and Nd 2 student of library and information science at one of the tertiary institutions in Enugu State, revealed that, he was contacted by an APC Enugu chieftain and is paid ₦3000 per write up against Governor Uzodinma following his refusal to support Senator ken Nnamani's bid to Run for the Deputy National Chairman South of the party.

He said that, each of them were directed to write as many fake articles as possible with an aim of giving the other candidate a bad name.

According to Edeh "the more you write against Governor Uzodinma, APC and Emma Enukwu , to favour Senator Ken Nnamani, the more money you are paid."
