Juventus4life: if Buhari led administration succeeded in implementing this policy, then it will be one of his best achievements....
All the 36 State Governors are against this irrespective of political differences then what is this telling us The local government allocation is just one of the vehicles these governors steal their states money. Most states owe their local government workers salary and no development at all at the grassroots level. That is why most local government chairmen are just puppets of their governors. |

You may have been seeing a lot of Toyota Vehicles on our Nigerian roads because it’s one of the brands most preferred by Nigerians. Most of these Toyota Vehicles you see were imported from countries like Dubai, USA and Canada. Most importers go for the American specification as you would always hear “American Spec.” But do you know there is Toyota cars specifically built for Nigeria?
Toyota produces vehicles to meet specific regional conditions. These usually have to do with compatibility issues relating to fuel chemical composition, terrains and general environmental conditions. Toyota Nigeria Limited sells vehicles made to operate optimally in the Nigerian market.
It is good you know that the prices of cars sold by Toyota Nigeria Limited through their accredited dealers differ from the ones you get from unofficial dealers. This is why:
Prices differ due to specification variations. Considering our harsh environment, all Toyota vehicles sold by TNL come with ‘Severe User Package’ which includes reinforced suspension, heavy duty shock absorbers, engine under-guards, etc. These are all intrinsic value built in to withstand conditions of our terrain and provide peace of mind motoring.
These models built specifically for Nigerians are the only models sold by Toyota Nigeria Limited through their accredited dealers in the country.
Below are the Toyota models specifically built for Nigeria according to Toyota Nigeria Limited
1. Toyota Yaris 2. Toyota Corolla 3. Toyota Avensis 4. Toyota Camry 5. Toyota Rush 6. Toyota Rav4 7. Toyota Avanza 8. Toyota Fortuner 9. Toyota Prado 10. Toyota Landcruiser 11. Toyota LC 70 12. Toyota Hiace 13. Toyota Coaster 14. Toyota Dyna 15. Toyota Hilux

grandstar: I personally I'm not a fan of unions.
Labour unions exist primarily to protect their members but they unknowingly cause massive damage to the economy.
Look at the new minimum wage for instance. How many states could conveniently pay the 18,000 talk less of 30,000. We're the wage increase be enforced as it is in many countries, there'll be massive layoffs by both the private and public sector. This will sharply increase the unemployment rate.
Countries with powerful unions have higher levels of unemployment than those with weak unions.
Also, the economies of countries with weak unions tend to grow faster than countries with powerful unions. all states could comfortably pay it. stop making excuses for stupid politicians. if they can pay themselves all those hefty emoluments, security votes, wardrobe allowances, vehicle allowances and unimaginable pensions for life. Then they can pay the Nigerian workers. Stop making excuses for them. |

Interesting story. The plot makes a lot of sense. Nathan knew very well that Derrick would have been a hard nut to crack had it been he got the estate as his father already wished. And Derrick proved this, by going ahead to thwart the 30 million deal his father had with the white guy. Most times, our parents (especially the wealthy) always have to make tough decisions on who to inherit the most cherished assets or to control the wealth when they are gone. OP, it would have been nice if you had told us what later happened in the family. Did Derrick later get his rightful inheritance? Did his mother apologize for wrongfully accusing him? Did he get back to the white man concerning the earlier deal which he somehow thwarted? Nice story all around. |

oz4real83: I still wonder what the functions of NBA are. An average Nigerian lawyer will do anything or raise very feeble excuses just to delay an obvious case. A lawyer like this deserves to be sanctioned. The lawyer is just doing his job and earning his pay. If it was proven that he was coerced to make that statement, the judge would have ruled that the statement be inadmissible in court. But thank God the statement will be allowed since the judge ruled otherwise. The lawyer(s) will come up with a hundred and one excuse to delay this case further, so far as the accused is willing to pay their fees. |

sholatem: What about d witnesses, they are forced too?Did u not see d man that suppose to retired peaceful, yet Evans chopped of his hand because he couldn't meet up with demand when he was kidnapped? What will become his family's fate Trust federal Government on this,he's already a condemned criminal but they want him to waste all he has acquired thru d evil work, before they condemned him,he is d 1 that need to think twice before taking lawyers upon lawyers for his case. Don't be so sure he is condemned. This is Nigeria. One misstep from the prosecutor, we will see this case being lost. A 'billionaire' kidnapper can just as well bribe someone in the prosecutorial team and this case will be thrown out or we see something like 6 months jail term or an option of fine. |

I was so emotional, afterwards as if the director of the film purposely killed Johnny. Never knew it was actually a real life story, until years later. |

seborrhic: This is a deceptive and flawed statistics. Where is Lagos? Lagos has the highest fare Intracity within Nigeria and even worldwide Viz a viz earning power of it's inhabitants. Reason?Lagos is the smallest state per landmass, but a journey from say Ikorodu to Lagos,a mere 30mins without traffic cost up to 400-500. Same journey in Abia or Kebbi won't cost you more than 200. Oshodi to mile 2 about 250 for a mere 30km or so trip. When doing this kind of stats, distance and landmass should be the parameters and not just a general intracity cost. From Aba to Umuahia, a journey of 30munutes without traffic, police and road safety costs between 400 to 500. You think those in Abia don't buy fuel at 145 or even more of recent.? |

Federal job. Nigeria is a uncertain country to depend on private owned job. With Federal job, promotion is slow but certain. The same with salary, you are sure of it irrespective of how the economy is or how small/big the salary is. There is also that incentive of time. From 4pm you are free to pursue other side hustles. Pension is another angle. If you don't really like life on the fast lane, take up the Federal job which guarantees slow and steady growth. |
