Family › Re: Wife Sent Packing For Questioning Husband Over Her Mother-in-law's Visit by eagleeye2: 2:38pm On May 07, 2020 |
instinct57vm: I have a female friend who got married last year October precisely.
Fast forward to March this year the Mother In Law came to stay with the couple in a bid to visit her hospital within the couple’s area for medical checkup, reason being that she stays a bit farther away in the same state.
Upon her Mother in law’s arrival, she came with my friend’s husband brother accompanied by his girlfriend who all planned staying and eventually stayed without prior notice.
My friend(the lady) is a banker and was only informed casually by her husband while she was at work on the day of their arrival. His excuse was the mother called impromptu about the visit which I don’t think is bad anyway.
These couple stay in a three bedroom apartment and only one room has bed in it. This is the room the couple sleep.
The first two days of the mother inlaw, brother and brother’s girlfriend arrival, the couple had to sleep in the living room while the mother in law and the brother in law’s girlfriend slept in the couple’s room.
As days goes by, the husband who is self employed suggested the the rest of them will handle cooking in the house due to the wife’s tight schedule as per banking job in Lagos.
Part of the consequence of their visit is that they have overthrown the kitchen and like most ladies my friend wasn’t cool with this but tried to keep her cool.
The lady(my friend) became curious and asked the husband to clarify if the mother in law and co intends to stay with them permanently. The husband subsequently flared up with the allegations that his wife doesn’t want his people around. This happened to be the third time his wife asked this question in the space of two weeks.
One thing led to the other on the third time of asking this question my friends husband beat her up and chased her out of the house while the mother stood and watched without interfering.
Efforts to reconcile has proved abortive as the husband refused to let her in again and categorically said to my friend’s dad he isn’t interested in the marriage anymore. The mother in law refused to interfere.
PS: The hubby’s mother is a separated single mother. PS: My friend and her hubby both contributed to pay the rent PS: The hubby’s father is not in support of all the happenings and all efforts to reach his son proved abortive since the misunderstanding. He wouldn’t answer his dad’s calls.
What are your opinions about this issue? Thank you. My verdict: The man, his mother, the brother and his girlfriend are irresponsible fellows. But I pity the girlfriend the most. I also pity the man. |

Humblezick: Well, God is the ultimate. But to be sincere with you, most of us in one way or the other were connected. Like, the year I was employed, all of us about 8 recruited that year, there was not advert made. Insiders inform relatives to write and applied for so, so position and then they follow up. To be frank, I started work and recived 3 months salaries before I attended interview which was tagged regularization. That's not to say was not capable of passing my job interview because I was practicing the same job with private organization. So in summary, I believe we all came in thought the help of one person or the other. Truth be told. You were paid before interview? Wow.... Guess then IPPIS of a thing never start... kudos |

7victor: MINIMUM WAGE HAS BEEN PAID TO US IN FEDERAL COLLEGES OF EDUCATION
Today, the bursary unit of our school asked the lecturers to come and see our payment schedule.
We went and were told that the minimum wage was implemented.
Our salary under the new minimum wage included the Peculiar Academic Allowance (PAA).
The following were deducted from the new minimum wage:
Tax, NHS(National housing scheme) deduction, Pension, COEASUU deduction.
So actually the February salary that was paid to the Federal Colleges of Education was paid with the new minimum wage.
We were told that will henceforth be our salary.
So we are not expecting anything different for this month's salary because the minimum wage has already been paid.
Today, we were also given our TI number from IPPIS. Please give figures and grade level. Because e get why.. |

Starboytwo: eldest bro is based in another state, in two years he's came once but always issue threats on the phone(phone threats epp nobody)
And he has mandated me to make sure everything was upto date, whenever he calls and I give him updates he told me to take necessary measures already...
I have spoken with the tenants in question a couple of time, I also try to make a deal with him about clearing his 2018 rent, we not even talking 2019, but 18...
For the past 2 weeks he is evasive and yesterday he broke the camel's back by referring me to talk to his wife blah blah, I just felt he thought I could do nothing and eldest bro will just issue non- binding threats as usual....
I have scourge online and I have written a "quit notice" letter, however I do not know the steps to take, do I serve him in person? Or through a lawyer(I don't have one) or I can't even serve him at all, but I want something done today or nothing will be done at all... He is not the only tenants owing 2018, and I feel I will send a clear messages to other tenants owing with my actions or steps taken....
I need some useful help, the care of the house is entrusted to me, not by choice tho, but cuz I currently reside here... Get a lawyer ASAP and instruct the lawyer to serve him a Notice To Quit through the courts. It's a long process, but the earlier you start the better. Also have it in mind that it may drag on in court for a long time. |

Samakus: Yes, inform your superiors before embarking on the journey. One of my colleague that was employed in January went there and he was paid this February salary. He spent around 1week but I didn't ask him how much he spent there. Just go prepared financially.
Of course, you should go with all the originals of your documents including appointment letter, assumption of duty, bank statement for your salary account, etc. I believe that the affected person has done all necessary documentation with your school before talking about IPPIS enrollment. Take all your documents with you. It's better to go with all and they don't need some, than go with some and you end up not coming with the ones they need.
Most importantly, inform the person that gave you work. I believe that nobody joins a federal institution without knowing somebody!
Address. IPPIS Secretariat. Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation Treasury House Ladoke Akintola Boulevard, Garki 11, Abuja, Nigeria At bolded, lol... Wolgrace: Question: Is it constitutional in the school senate that a student caught "once" in an exam malpractice is an automatic ticket to be expelled by the panel without first considering his good records and stricter sanctioning to avoid repetition? Shey na point and kill?
Lecturer's wrong and uncontrollable vengeful approach towards students must be cautioned and tamed! Because some lecturers have started abusing the fair hearings and justices in other to score points against the students because of war against sex-for-grades. Wrong time to retaliate!
Did you see a viral video of a lady that was chased out of class by her lecturer by his lame and laughing-stock excuse? Its just started! You have points. And I agree with you that it is a bad time for them to revenge. But, you and I know that Lecturers are like gangs just like NPF etc, they are fighting back and students will definitely be at the receiving end. |
