Onnoghen’s arraignment was sequel to a petition filed by a civil society group, Anti-Corruption and Research Based Data Initiative (ARDI), accusing the CJN of false asset declaration and other sundry allegations.

He is also being accused of maintaining Domiciliary Accounts which comprised Dollar Account, Pound Sterling Account and Euro Account which were alleged to be contrary to relevant laws, especially for public office holders.

It was also learnt that the FG in addition plan to file a motion on notice praying the tribunal to order the CJN to vacate office and recuse himself from any aspect of the case as chairman of the National Judicial Council so as to prevent alleged interference in his arraignment and trial.

We hope that the right judgement be delivered at the end of it all.

Someone raised a posse that when buhari was asked about his assets declaration, he referred those asking to the CCB... when CCB.,, was asked they declined making the content of Buhari's file known without his permission. The question now is, how did the writer of this so called petition find out what was in the CJN's ,, assets declaration form?
Secondly, of all the millions of people in Nigeria the writer of this petiton happens to be a known ally of President Buhari?

The answer is NO. If Chima were to belong to APC, he has a better chance than Ben (if he were in pdp).
The Bende constituency is yearning to see what Chima can do. He has been doing a lot even before politics, so people want to see if politics will change him or make him better.

The NJC have its way of dealing with its members. The executive cannot stampede them.
We will follow this matter with keen interest. Hope this will not be another circus show like that of Saraki.

you problem is self denial. Saraki is the senate president that call shots in the senate. There is no senate panel that can discpline him .unlike onnoghen the NJC will relieved him of position cos he cant stand trial and still be presiding over cases.

They should have gone through the NJC first. You cannot build something on nothing. Any judge they like let them bring, he will through this case out.

The simple truth is that there is a led down procedure for trying a member of the bench. But, like everything else APC has bungled this one. The law does not operate on sentiments.
Let me cross fingers and see Buhari remove the CJN.
