pazienza: Yolobas are not going to deny the North access to the sea, they wouldn't do that, they didn't do that before and will not do that again.Gbam If Yorubaland is invaded, the best things to do are 1) Support their guerrilla movements to distract Arewas without invading their land. 2) Find out from Yoruba muslims the sea route of Arewa ships and sink the ships in far away places as Senegal South Africa Asia South America and other international shipping routes with extensive submarine warfare while keeping it a secret from everyone including Biafrans and her allies. |
emiye: Ordinary fuel subsidy removal induced price hike in fuel, lots of Ibos got stranded in their town. They have spent all the cashI hope you remember the parts of Nigeria that were at the fore-front of protest against fuel subsidy removal and the parts of Nigeria that kept quiet. ![]() |
pazienza: Infact, from now onwards, i would no longer vilify Awo. I just saw what he saw in 1967, he did no wrong, he did exactly what i would have done if put in his shoes, it's no fault of his that Ojukwu and his crew where not wise enough to have analysed 'the yolobar factor' and taken counter measures to nullify it.Now you see my understanding of Awo's decisions. Unfortunately The younger generation do not know this fact. Awo realised in the 1960s that Yorubas do not have a well secured means of financing a secession or repelling an invasion. That is why he introduced indigenization and 20 pound policies to strengthen Yorubas financially. In the 1980s when he felt Yorubas are in charge of Nigeria economy, he plotted to overthrow the military government. Unfortunately His plan was exposed by Jankunde This was one of the reasons why the Arewas thought of building an inland port in Abuja to take away the economic base of Nigeria from Yorubas to Arewaland. |
emiye: With a stiffled mind , i doubt i can achieve that. Emotions is winning over reasoning .You have no point then Am willing to learn to clarify my reality |
torkaka: With reasoning like this, pray those who will advance the eastern cause will not put you in the fore frontI pray they do I believe am among those who can devise plans that will stop Arewa invasion If you go through my posts in other threads and study it without being bias You will realise that men like me are more dangerous than an hydrogen atomic bomb. Men like me by God's grace are those who can shake the foundation of world history. I pray God cause my people to put me in the forefront. Amen. |
semitunde: This has been discussed in several threads. Its the same question that can be asked of the north.I know Yoruba tribe stretches to Ghana. Historically the nearest Eastern ethnic group Yorubas have contact with his the Igalas and somehow Idomas. As for Tivs there is no connection both from legend or fact. What I want you to understand is that in war, you need to exchange something for weapons. The Ishekiris who have can be overrun by ND forces in the event of treachery. A good portion of oil in Edo/Ondo are on Ijaw territory. Any forceful claim of their rights will incur the wrath of the ND forces who will definitely seek to protect them and their rights. |
pazienza: This would be the likely scenario. But it would be foolish for the East to think she can form any form of alliance with the North. This is because, annexing Yolobaland and gaining control of her ports would only be Phase 1 of the North's agenda. You failed to put into account that some Yorubas will start a guerrilla movement that will receive the support of Biafrans/ND to distract Arewa troops in Yorubaland |
emiye: Call it trash, as much as you like. Igbo's population is within the neighbourhood of 30 million , i dont need an ethnicity census to determine that, there are sensible ways to get realistic projectionsOk Convince us We are all ears Tell us all these realistic projections that you know |
semitunde: If I decide to respond to what you put here, it will require a while page. But know this:What will Yorubas exchange for arms.? When you answer that question truthfully then you will know that you are at the mercy of Arewa Biafrans ND forces. Even the oil in Ishekiri is closer to ND forces. The oil in Edo/Ondo a sizeable portion is on Ijaw speaking areas. So those of you thinking land size will save you guys should ponder deeply if your near inability to raise sufficient fund to arm you troops will bring to fruit your geographical advantage. When you ponder deeply, you will know why Awo chickened out of his quest for Odua republic You will understand why Awo introduced indigenization policy of which Yorubas were the greatest beneficiaries You will understand why Awo stole our money through 20 pounds policy The fact is Awo realised that Yoruba region do not have any reasonable resources that can finance her war. That is why your leaders carved some part of Ijaw land into Edo and Ondo states. That is why your leaders tried to revive ancient friendship with Ishekiris and Binis. |
emiye: War mongers here again, Majority are the usual suspects, the igbos.Trash Waste of education How do you arrive at the conclusion that Igbos are 30 million when we have not included ethnicity in any of our census |
Ladystewie: They received text messages? Did they confirm it was genuinely from BH or are they causing unnecessary panic?F O O L I S H COMMENT Do you think the ND govs are unwise like Fashola who failed to warn the public Spies and terrorists find it difficult to operate in an environment that is security conscious. |
EMANY01: | meant to make that clarification/emphasis by finding such a map but posting with my phone has challengesI understand |
EMANY01: Of all the commentators you appears to be the most delusional. If the most recent wars on the African continent is anything to do by,was are not fought with only the weapons you have at hand.Brilliant point of view Not just states map but ethno-religious map of Nigeria. |
Qelvin: this sure would make the top chart of most laughable post of the year. You kill that guy finish Most NL yoruba comments show that, they are not listerning to the politics of other regions. |
Those who seek GEJ's death die by .................................................................................................................. |
atlwireles: which slowpoke revived this thread and why?It must be those who hate Igbos After seeing that we Biafrans will rally with ND to raise 10 million soldiers to support MB against Arewa invasion, they decided to drive a wedge btw Biafrans and ND I repeat again Biafrans/ND will support MB in their resistance against Arewas Haters go and ...... |
UN also get lunatics like NairaLand |
Next year will be an interesting year Two things are before Arewa 1) Accept the new Nigeria 2) Forget Nigeria |
Is laughable when I read Yorubas comments of how they are more capable of defending themselves than the Igbos on this thread May I ask you guys What was Awo's excuse for not declaring Odua.? What did Obj and co told Awo when he asked them of West readiness to secceed.? Of all armed ethnic militia and militias who believe in armed struggled why is OPC the least equipped when compared with BH and Mend.? What will Yorubas exchange for weapons in the event of war.? I repeat I laugh at Yorubas thinking they have a better fighting chance compared to BIafrans/ND in a war against Arewa invasion. |
semitunde: Unfortunately this is a possibility our south eastern people are not seeing presently. The problem with your view point is You fail to realise that the MB despise the Arewas with passion more than the way they hated the Igbos more than 40yrs ago As I speak to you most MB christian tribes are openly saying they made mistake fighting the Igbos and would go with Biafra If Nigeria breaks up no MB Christian tribe will allow the passage of any Arewa troops through her territory no matter the negotiation threat or bribe Guy travel out of your SW enclave and interact with other tribes of Nigeria Only when you do this that you will realise that Nigeria has changed The Confab stand by the MB delegates should give you a clue I repeat If Nigeria breaks up all Northern minority tribes will want freedom from Arewas This means any invasion of the Biafrans/ND areas through MB areas will be opposed by the MB tribes who will be supported by Biafrans/ND who will see the defense of MB as their best bet to keep the war as far North as possible. |
torkaka: And who says kogi and the east can not be simultaneously bombed? Like I earlier said, a part of kogi will automatically align with the north, if the route is through nasrawa/benue/taraba, you might have a point. But kogi will not be much of a challenge, it will be balkanized. The mistake you keep making is that you believe that the Biafrans/ND/Benue-Plateau-Taraba-Co MB axis will standby and watch Kogi being overrun. Your greatest mistake is you underestimate our capacity to deploy men and material to support anti-Arewa forces fighting in the Kogi axis. You fail to realise that Arewa will pass through Yoruba Kogi which might stir up anti-Arewa feelings leading to unsolicited spy work for anti-Arewa forces. And most of all You keep thinking that if war erupts It will be fought with the present weapons Let me burst your bubbles The way the militants acquired new weapons to fight the FG is the way all threatened regions will acquire weapons to defend their regions. My greatest joy is One united North is dead and buried And a house divided against itself can't win especially when Biafra and ND ally with that part to stop Arewa. For those shouting the West/Israel will keep quiet Should know that they do not keep quiet when their economic interest is concerned Ojukwu anti-British bully b4 the civil war worked against him during the war Ojukwu lack of understanding that world politics is not about truth/justice worked against him when he failed to accept Russia China France deal of oil for weapons. Finally we won't repeat Ojukwu's folly |
Today na friday Abeg stay indoor b4 allahu arkbars start rioting. Friday can be nasty and bloody. |
Kponkwem: You very correct. In any case, I see no reason why the South East leaders should not openly seek cooperation with Isreal.God bless He doesn't know history of Nigeria uncivil war |
Woman sharrrrrrrrrrrrrrapppppppppppppppppp Buhari ruled Nigeria in the 1980s and wants to rule in 2015. Pls can someone ask Buhari when my generation will rule Nigeria ![]() |
Chartey: You were born human, then you said, "mba, I'll rather be an animal(leopard)". Now that you're thinking like an animal, how can I help you? Oya scamper away you this ebola-filled creature.I will advise you to keep quiet Politicians can be funny even with human lives Let's wait for shecow to claim it Besides AIT showed the visitation by the people to Amaechi They insisted that they are a distinct group . |
torkaka: Is that the only truth you have learnt today? What of the airforce structure? Does it not scare you that the SE remains the only region without a command? If you study my comments You will realise I am a realists When war breaks out Oil will be exchanged for weapons This was the mistake Ojukwu made with the Soviets which the militants avoided. When war erupts Biafrans/ND will exchange oil for weapons. |
Chartey: I pray this happens in every location in Nigeria and some of the f.oolish people here are affected, so that we all realize nowhere has a monopoly of violence. Then when blasts and attacks happen in the north, people will be more sensitive.Wait until shecow claim responsibility. Even Amaechi might plan it. So keep quiet and allow the real culprit surface. |
torkaka: So in a nut shell, the military might of the south east revolves round what some guy might do one day as against what's factually on groundThe only military industry in Nigeria is in Kaduna. That I won't deny because I believe in telling myself and people the truth unlike you That is why I am ringing it to the ears of SS/SE to consider using this opportunity to build an all purpose military industry in conjunction with private firms and higher institutions. But as for acquisition of weapons Biafrans and ND can exchange oil for weapons just as they did during the days of militancy. |
torkaka: Again, dwelling on assumptions and fantasies, I showed you the structure of the nigerian airforce and how the south east is screwed. Let me also inform you that nigeria's defence industry which produces a riflle similiar to AK 47, SMG, GPMG, LAR as well as APC's and bullet proof vests is located in kaduna.Kaduna industry was built before the civil war Even Ojukwu played a role during its formative age. My friend One thing in life is that if you keep talking somebody in position of authority might listern That is why guys like me talk of building an all purpose arms industry It shouldn't be surprised if somebody some day builds one in the SE/SS axis. |
kettykin: I am sorry my bad , i never knew all these while about Annang region only knew the people existed side by side with Ibibio and i understand Ikot Ekpene is Annang but was not sure about Ikot Abasi which is Ibibio, which is close to Opobo where the current Army Chief (COAS K. Miniman) comes fromThanks Another reason why I suggested Annang instead of a more Southernly place Is because It time of war, the industry won't be easily captured because it is close to the hinterland But placing it in a place like Bonny, will make it easier to fall to enemy invasion the way Enugu fell to Federal side. |
chinolization: Just take note of the highlighted part! That is the same reason Nigeria is still a sleeping giant! You keep saying you are not read but you are over 40!Don't forget that some people are jealous that Biafrans are taking the lead They might bear monikers sounding Igbo just to kill our spirit Biafra light of the Black race |
kettykin: why annag Region of all placesAnnang region is close to the ocean water that divides Akwa Ibom and Cross River It means the industry will also build water war weapons vessels submarines etc alongside air and land weapons. They are pro-Igbo It is close to Igboland Besides it will bring less suspicion and resistance by those who fear Igbos |
