As for me it has affected me both negatively and positively

The major implications of overthinking are fear and anxieties.

Believe me, they're just illusions that don't exist. The sub-conscious mind also finds it hard to distinguish between what is real and abstract so, the same hormonal signals and impulses are sent or released.

Now, you must start the step yourself only if you love yourself. You must believe that all the Overthinking processes only exist in your head and no where else... and that they're powerless as long as choose to ignore them....no matter how meaniful they might appear to be.
Learn to challenge your thoughts that they can't overpower you.

FIRST RULE OF OVERTHINKING: Resistance is persistence i.e the more you try to resist, justify or analyse a thought signal, the more critically persistent it becomes... and the chain continues.

Another thing is creating self awareness. Immediately the thought signal flashes across your mind, distract your mind with something else and say- "You this thought is here again, I won't over -think you... and you're powerless without my stimulation and reaction. Change the topic immediately or go out with a friend to discuss something relatively different.

Having a mindset of Perfectionist can also lead to state of overthinking. We can't just help somethings that are beyond our control..so accept yourself that you're not perfect, that every one makes mistakes and that making one will only make you stronger and become more established.

Lastly, go out and share what you're experiencing with close friends or pals if you don't mind.

I know how you feel bro. I have been there before, believe me. Exactly as you pointed out. For me, the future was looking too bleak, and I wasn't sure what I was going to do with my life. I wanted to commit myself to something real, but I couldn't find it. So it gave me this failure feeling.
It was really a trying time for me. But guess what, I took to serious prayers, like I prayed to God seriously about it. And then it happened! Gradually, I realised what I had passion for, and then I began to pursue it. Here I am today, it's all glory everywhere.
So for you bro, don't be afraid. Since you already have something you are passionate about, go for it. You're lucky, because not everyone truly discovers that side of themself, to know what they are truly passionate about. So forget about failing, yes you may fail, but I can tell you that in that failure, you'd find your strength and then soar.
I recommend that you make it a habit to always read your Bible and believe the promises God has made there for you. Also, you can read THINK and GROW RICH.

Thanks to COVID, the days of "DOING WHAT YOU LOVE", "FOLLOWING YOUR PASSION" are officially over. Motivational speeches have failed and their speakers are in hiding.

If you are not solving a major problem that has been caused by COVID... you may not get much because the attention, choices, inclination of the world has shifted by a large degree, so you are not the only one who has LOST INTEREST.... because many have suddenly realized that their skills, their jobs, their courses in school have become useless in the light of this "pandemic".

All I can tell you is, PHOTOGRAPHY will survive, but you have to think outside the box.... yes think beyond Covering events and parties because until there is a VACCINE... all that may never happen again... So be smart and get ahead of the game. Move your graphics design to animation and then to web/app design else you may become irrelevant in an ever competitive world.

Also study about investments so when you miraculously start getting cash, you can INVEST and safeguard yourself from issues in the future.
I know you are smart so get yourself together and chase the new dream....

By the grace of God am in my final year in the university if not for this covid'19 am suppose to graduate this year
But here is my problem
During my 200L I went to learn a skill not just any skill but the one I had passion for which is photography and graphics designing
So for like 2years now I've gone very far with it and due to the passion I have for it I intend taking the skill to another level like going to learn it professionally after my graduation
Recently like a week ago while I was thinking about the possibility of making a living with this said skill I suddenly just lost interest for it cause of the fear of not making it if i put all my energy there as I plan in my mind

Right now am in serious problem cause I've Been thinking of how to get back my interest for my skill is really driving me crazy,I can't do anything within thinking about the matter am so bothered

Please I need advice from my seniors in the house

it greatly has to do with the type of personality you possess...and most importantly, what interests you. many dont need to drink, party and do drugs etc to rebel against their parents authority. some will simply wear make up, dress in sexy manner, go to places that parents may not like or even listen to music their parent disagree with., to rebel... but at the end of the day, parents only want whats best for you.

I totally agree with you on this, it all depends on the kind of personality one possess. I'll use my family as a case study
I and my younger sis were raised by our mum,lost my dad when I was 7yrs my mum tried so much to be free with use but it didn't stop my sis from misbehaving imagine someone at the age of 15 who already have a boyfriend very stubborn, she does all manner of things but me on the other hand I was just myself am not trying to say am a saint tho but most of the things my sister indulged in I never had interest in them
