Hi everyone in the house. I need your advice. There is this ATAS certification my course requires which is suppose 2 show on my visa letter. I got 2 kno about it around mid-july which i quickly applied 4. By then, my visa letter had been sent to me, but without the certification on it. On august 4, the ATAS certificate was sent to my email notifying me that my application in my box.A new visa letter was latter sent 2 my email with the certification on it with the message that a hard copy has been posted to me. It is 3wks now and i have not received the visa letter. I have complained 2 the school but they said they have a lot of mails 2 attend 2. I am at a crossroad  now. Can i apply with the old visa letter + the print out of the new one and the ATAS certificate
Also i wud like 2 kno how the best way 2 get the receipt of my school fees
Oi oi,  Everything I used in getting my clearance last week (VISA letter,School fees receipt)came via attachment (PDF) and i printed them out in BLACK AND WHITE I cant believe your waiting for a VISA letter in mail. Don't you know the Nigeria postal service is not that reliable?? Print what you have out and go submit your Application!!  (mind you 2 of my mate also did the same)
I am sure the one you have must be in PDF file, if not ask them to send it in that mode. All you have to do is find a very good printer and your good to go.  Best of Luck.

lol @nezerst (heaven??), I understand your position but if its not available online its not there. They will ask you if you checked it online, For all I know, there website is up2date, You will have the last laugh by his grace!

You need a receipt from the school,  just have them send it by email. You don't need to wait for post. Also include the transfer slip the Bank gave to you. All the documents I used including visa letter and receipt all came via attachment tru email. So just tell the school,it's wont take long!Good luck

Nop he cant, either re apply or do the review! If he reapplies it might be faster than the first one. I hope he did included his uni transcript along with the application and stuffs like registration form and course forms,  If he wants to re-apply add a personal statement to go along with it! Take your time to decide what you want to do.

Hello all,
I've been going through most of the posts here and i must say you are doing a good job.
I have a problem.
I was giving an unconditional offer to study at the university of york. Initially i was asked to present my passport, waec certificate and transcript showing my first year in uni (as i did not complete my study there) before i could be issued my admission letter.
I could only send the passport and waec as i could not the transcript (ASUU strike). They said i must get the transcript first.
Now today, i saw my admission letter in my box sent by York, telling me congratulations, my student i'd, details of tuition fees and how to pay and all that.
Does it mean i can go ahead and pay. And what do i present at the visa office? Thanks
You just put all the document you used in getting your admission, WAEC certificate, Add the transcript just to be on the safe side along with other school document, course form, registration and all that. You also need to show funds, Pretty simple, just check the UKBA office website. Good luck

He didn't get any other doc wit the refusal notice. He even had to download d admin review form. He applied via ibadan.
So he should quote the exact page and section of the student visa guideliners.
In filling the admin review form we wrote that "We saw that a mistake was made as regards calculating the funds on their side, and stated that according to there guideliness he was only required to show funds of year 1 and £7200".
Can it be submitted by courier?
@ Mufasa, here we go, First, what course his he studying? what level of study? I just wanna know so i can give make some SUGGESTIONS that might be off help (You don't necessary need to go with my suggestion if you don't like it )  try include a personal statement after touching the funds part, like how the course will be of benefit to you and why you choose to study it, it will be sent to a neutral post, meaning they wont treat the review in Abuja, might be sent to Lagos or elsewhere.( You know when you have to impressive them sadist lecturers we have in our universities here,  You try very very hard tongue

So don't just touch the money issue alone. I hope you understand. Oh. also, try submit it by hand if you can! if not send it,

@ easy

not that am worried, i did apply for the working holiday before it was scrapped and won the appeal which i have submitted my doc. since May and up till these moment ve not yet recieved my visa. called the BHC last week and the customer officer told me that they are still running a check on my document and will reach back to me as soon's they finish but what baffles me most is that its 72 working day's now since i submitted my document and they ve not yet being able to verify those document i submitted.like you said they have a team who checks on document forgery within a twinkle of an eye but why he's mine taking more than usual. or what do u think i should do?

Honestly, there's nothing you can do. Just wait and pray, pls, coz one time, i tried to renew my visa, they kept my passport for 6months + saying they were checking my flight and immigration stamps, can you imagine? and how long does that take?, was frustrating, but i had to take my mind of it, I was also in Uni so i kept myself busy with school! My sister was refused the working holiday maker 3years ago but she submitted the appeal and it didn't even go to court, she got a call within 3 days of submitting the appeal in VI,

I have contact with people who're having problem renewing and have submitted way back from March. (within the UK).  Like you mentioned the working holiday maker has been scrapped, so I guess your caseworker has not made up his/her mind on what to do! So keeping praying and don't relent with the calls/email/fax to them (1nce or 2wice aweek), so that you can get the attention of the caseworker ,

Good luck!
TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by EAsY6: 12:41pm On Aug 26, 2009
Yes you do! Where did you apply? I'm guessing abuja since you mentioned abuja direct!

You will have to make reference to the UK Border agency guide to applying for student visa (funds/money to show section)You are not allowed to put any new documents including statements of account. You have to work on what you use with the initial application. What else did you get with the refusal notice? Don't pay anybody including lawyer, it something you can construct yourself with the help of people on here.

what does administrative review mean as u have suggested to the other poster, cause i am having a case of document verification for over 3 months going now with the BHC and don't know what to do.
Admin review is only for those refused under the new point base application system, what did you apply for? whats your case?
TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by EAsY6: 12:10pm On Aug 26, 2009
Verify? Are you worried? They got the Forgery team in place that can verify in half a second( grin)  joking, depends on your caseworker you know, if he/she has reason to doubt any of your documents then they pass it along to the TEAM who then work the Magic!  but honestly i see no reason why you should be concerned about them!

TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by EAsY6: 12:04pm On Aug 26, 2009
Go for the review, You know the Recession has really affected the British economy so they're trying hard to get money inn. I showed them the total money for the 3yrs of my program (excess of £20,000). You don't need a lawyer for the review you know, something you can do yourself. You just have to impress than a little!

They wont bother, Even if you meet the requirement, your immigration history might be looked into, So honestly, I don't advise to re apply just go write WAEC, Pass it and write an apology letter, embarassed
