Guys whats up with Arik air as compared to Virgin-atlantic.

I need your inputs, thanks
I'm a flyin club member wiv V.A. and their one way for student is a bit higher than that of Arik. So just go for ARIK if your trying to save some money!

I couldn't hold it anymore when mine past 10 working days with no response and couple with the fact that *Vie* which we applied on the same day has got his.

Now am very very happy as finally . I will be going to Uk to study.

Thanks to everyone in this thread. I've read the way you profer solutions to peoples problem and rejoice with them when they find it. Thanks also to i-toro for the link. This ASUU Strike wrecked me. I needed to collect my transcript of my first year (i did just 2years and got fed up with naija education) as part of my documents for my admission at londonmet but i could not. Now i no longer have time on my hands sad
I-toro mentioned something about deferment. I believe if you defer your admission it lasts for 1 year (i.e till september 2010)? Or isnt it so? London met are among the Very Few uni's in uk thathave january admission but that is part time, and a course like mine that should last for 3years will now last for 4.
Please for those of you in the uk can you explain the advantages or disadvantages of part time. Would it be wise to defer till sept 2010 or seek january admission. Please advice me  embarassed
You are not allowed to do Part time being a foreign student, They wont even give you a VISA for part time. Don't be discouraged, the school can still allow you to arrive some weeks after resumption, write them and ask if they can give you time and if not just defer the admission, Clarify that with the school before you defer your admission, which uni are you attending in NIJA?

Congrats to you, Well I am a student like you and just arrived in the UK, There's no big deal regarding a flight.Like someone said, the only thing you need not do is fly bellview. Just take a cab or enter bus to MMA, (you don't need all those fake agent of NL  lipsrsealed) You will find B.A.,V.A. airlines on the second floor, they are both reliable, a bit expensive but they will give you a good deal, you know you need to get here in time, so get on it,

Keep your visa letter and school document in your hand bag,(Also, be prepared to answer question on your course of study lol) If you can, have an xray done or just don't worry, you will have one done at the port of entry which ever way. Regarding the money, you no need broadcast, I had MUCH more  grin than what you mention  when i arrived here and there was no problem,  Good luck and be safe!

Well, to my knowledge, your case is line waiting due to the number of appeals on ground. One thing with appeals is that it takes some time. You need to be really patience coz even when they preside on your case, it still goes through some process before they sent the result down to your local consulate/embassy and you also receive a copy of the ruling. Pray hard, you need it and Best of luck!

hi evry one, pls i need your candid advise. i applied 4 a student visa last three weeks but was refuse an entry clearance by the ECO. Reason was the statement of a/c i presented didnt demonstrate that i possess the required level of funds. mean while i had N3250990.00, it was converted to be 1,674pound instead of about 12,400pounds. all my oustandings is 12,100pounds. i hv since put in 4 a review immediately but nt sure hw long it would take. am thinkin of reapplying by 7th sept if i dont hear from them. pls all advise me as am losing my mind on this issue . the school resumes on the 22rd sept.
pls is it possible to ask for a refund of all deposit i hv paid to the school should i lose interest becos of all this visa problems. i hv paid part tuition of 4,000pounds and 1,000pounds for accommodation.
pls all i need your advise. ty
hola dayo, was the account in your name? you said it was to be 1,674 instead of about 124000. all my outstanding is 12,100 pounds. that a bit confusing shocked, dont give up so fast, if you can always touch where they highlighted and re-apply. And if you intend to ask for a refund, the school will definitely refund IF only you provide the refusal letter (to my understanding and experience) .

Thanks everyone(10004flats, funky baby and £a$y). I really appreciate your advice. Since gettin the visa letter wit ATAS certification written on it is becomin elusive. Can i apply 4 visa using another school (a lesser uni) visa letter and then wen i get to Uk i'll go 2 that uni of my choice. This is because time is not on my side anymore
YW omotifire, You are tied to one institution with this new tier4 visa, their license number is written on the VISA so if you want to change UNI, you have to apply again in the UK (which is almost like doing from here too, they have a backlog of application within the UK) , i think you will have to explain yourself to them and all that. Before the tier4 it was really easy to change schools for all I know! if your hell bent on using the original visa letter, why not ask them to send it by DHL or Fedex, wont take that long 3-4days i think. You know sept. is here already so do what you have to do intime. All d best. cool

Each school with it's own rules. Just because you submitted an email attachment of the visa letter and it worked for you does not mean it will work for others.

Some schools send ONLY the draft copy of the visa letter via email with the word DRAFT clearly stated on the background of the letter and also stating that only the hard copy of the visa letter (sent via post) should be submitted to the embassy.

Same for receipt. I know two schools that refused to send school fees receipt via email attachment. It was strictly via post.

Anyway, it's omotifire's call on what he should do.
Point noted, Only just sharing ideas on here, it's always up to the individual to decide.
