I really wish they pay more attention to online racism and cyber bullying
.
And for those fraudsters-turned motivational speakers online who flaunt their wealth and get online approvals, is that not false information too?

The funnest thing is that, this malaria is only in Nigeria, I don't know why the world is celebrating it.

It is not only in Nigeria, but Nigeria is one of the countries where it is most prevalent

World Malaria Day

Health / Today Is World Malaria Day by EatforHealth: 7:10am On Apr 25, 2021
World Malaria Day, which takes place on 25 April each year, is an internationally recognized day, highlighting the global efforts to control malaria and celebrating the gains that have been made. Since 2000, the world has made historic progress against malaria, saving millions of lives. However, half the world still lives at risk from this preventable, treatable disease, which costs a child’s life every two minutes.
.

According to the 2019 World Malaria Report, Nigeria had the highest number of global malaria cases (25 % of global malaria cases) in 2018 and accounted for the highest number of deaths (24 % of global malaria deaths).
.
Case numbers have plateaued at between 292 and 296 per 1000 of the population at risk between 2015 and 2018. Deaths however fell by 21% from 0.62 to 0.49 per 1000 of the population at risk during that same period.

Malaria is transmitted all over Nigeria; 76 % of the population live in high transmission areas while 24 % of the population live in low transmission areas. The transmission season can last all year round in the south and is about 3 months or less in the northern part of the country

World Malaria Day 2021 will unify and build on the ‘Zero Malaria Starts with Me’ movement and the ‘Draw the Line Against Malaria’ youth focused campaign. This year’s theme, “Zero Malaria – Draw the Line Against Malaria”, will explore and connect malaria elimination and malaria in high-burden settings.

The objectives for this year’s World Malaria Day are:

✅ Highlight the successes of countries in the malaria fight.
✅ Inspire a new group of countries that have the potential to eliminate the disease by 2025.
✅ Demonstrate that zero malaria is within reach for all countries
.

In 2019, 6 countries accounted for approximately half of all malaria deaths worldwide: Nigeria (23%), the Democratic Republic of the Congo (11%), United Republic of Tanzania (5%), Burkina Faso (4%), Mozambique (4%) and Niger (4% each)
.
Children under 5 years of age are the most vulnerable group affected by malaria; in 2019 they accounted for 67% (274 000) of all malaria deaths worldwide.

How often do you have malaria?

What has been the worst malaria moment you have ever seen?

What can we do achieve the zero malaria target?

Happy World Malaria Day grin

Hello darling sis. I just came across this thread and I am so amazed at the level of your energy. I can relate with every issue that is being discussed here, and I won’t mind contributing my bits in terms of information (especially on the aspect of nutrition), although I am scarcely online but more frequent on WhatsApp

I drew some inspiration from Abali1, now Abali 2020, right here on Nairaland and I wouldn’t know if you have come across him before. If you haven’t, please do so and perhaps follow his post threads

I would love to have some discussions with you at the level of getting people informed and provision of assistance in terms of information. You may reach me your through the number on my signature

Congratulations on the new feather on your cap too!

God bless you so much

NockMedia:
Mikel Obi's sanity and the safety of his young family is more important than the club in question. The Board in particular and fans of Trabzonspor showed little or no respect to Mikel Obi by the way they handled every dealing that had to do with John Obi Mikel.
The incessant trolls and death threats from the fans of Trabzonspor towards Mikel and his family on social media is simply disgusting and the manner with which the club handled the issue was pathetic.

Bunch of hypocrites they are

Long term use of Anabolic steroids most likely ruined her health. It's the number one killer of body builders... RIP to her tho sad

If you're a body builder, before you go "anabolic" be aware of possible side effects: kidney problems or failure.
Liver damage and tumors.
Enlarged heart, high blood pressure and changes in blood cholesterol, which increases the risk of stroke and heart attack, even in young people.
increased risk of blood clots and loads more...

Help me telling them ooo

Guys that use steroids and supplements to get six packs as if it is six billion naira

Kepa the keeper has not lived up to expectations

Swallowing 42 goals in one season with 2 more games to go

The whole Chelsea defense is so horrible too. Worst defense in the Roman era

They are still in the third position

While United remains United in the 5th stand :/ tongue
