Hi Mike, because we had to use a uk lawyer we paid about 2 or 3k pounds for the fee

But for the ours, it was quite easy maybe around 1k pounds for both passport fee and consultation fee

Nairalanders felt i should give another update on the old thread��

All my moms chidren passport arrived about 3 years ago and most of us have relocated to the Uk doing well and working in good tech jobs.

Infact we don dey get third generation Uk citizens sef. hahahahaha

Thank God say we hustle am out naija don hard. And you guys should do however you can to get a second passport it makes lot of things easier.

Yeah i grab..... Bt shay u know say i become an automatic citizen of the uk frm momcy... Its nt about momcy its about me and my sibblings now., by the end of this yr i will b done wif uni all my siblings are done and by God's grace already employed and are doing well for themselves... To further education in any country in europe as a foreign student i guess u know d cost.. For instance uk (13k citizens) to 30somting (international student)... Multiply by 400 naija conversion rate and do the maths.... Any body dat burst dat kind of opportunity is daft when no b citizenship of congo or benin repulblic... Bsides if momcy go shay u think say na for hustle .. Na jst to go collect paper may i children take file for citizenship... If u a true hustler u know no huslter burst an opportunity.. Every way na way.

I applied for intenship at bank of america merrylinch after filling the form and doing the online test... I got a mail that i have a phone interview on Tuesday. Please can i be assisted on the questiona likely to come out from people with experience. The section i applied for is global investment banking.

Go to police.uk there are list of numbers, for callers outside the u.k. Follow the proms in that website, you can see how to report fraud crime. Follow it duly.

As mentioned by justwise, you can use one stone kill two beds. As you are dealing with the u.k police, you can still be applying for her passport. Remember they will not issue her any passport up on till the case is over and dealt with.

She has to make claims of identity theft situation through the home office and a copy to consulate office here in nigeria (lagos or abuja) which ever location that is closest to her.

Home office will definitely investigate on it (her claims) which takes some time. If findings are found correct, an arrest will be made for identity theft, in u.s, it carries 10 years, don't really know the jail term in u.k.

After all due process, she can apply for her passport through the embassy here in nigeria. Going through visa process via invitation from her sister is completely unnecessary. Why will a u.k citizen apply for a u.k tourist visa?

Please follow this due process, it will take some time but that will be her best bet. Claims like that takes time to investigate on and action taken.

Applying for a passport wouldn't cut it, wouldn't even be given because someone is using that identity already. Applying for a visa, is stupid because she is a u.k citizen and some one has her identity in u.k already. They will denied her, fingertips taken and it will even worsen her situation.

Avoid using an agent for your own good. All the info you need is online and in that link which is official British govt website

Then that is the most important thing. Even if somebody has impersonated her that will be sorted out by the immigration and arrest will be made.

She can start processing her British passport from Nigeria

can u please give us procedures on how to start reporting to the immigration? are we going to book an appointment with the British high commision at VI?
