Osemigho: Baba, there are people on this thread that can't answer your regular question(s). They are called elders of the elders. justwise is one of them.
He is managing multiple travel threads + his real life responsibilities. By the way, he doesn't promote sharing contacts such as the one you're asking for. Go to your nearest police station or its state HQ for that.
For quick response, ask we the children of this thread. For complicated case not well answered by us, you will see their comment.
Elders don't talk regularly but their single statement is full of wisdom and experience. It is not their fault that they don't talk regularly, it is life & experiences that warrant it. Well-done o ....first born of justwise....well, the world is a global village.... Answers are easily gotten now unlike before.... I have already gotten answers .....u dnt have to worry |

Beem4cupid: Ask a friend in Lagos to get you the form which can be scanned to you. Do your prints and send the form, 2passport and your data page to your friend to help you process. Cheaper and faster. Alternatively, you can go through any of the police stations in Benin but it will still be sent to Lagos for processing. Thank u very much... |

Blackbuddy: I meant let's see how the process with the recruitment agency will work out and if you get LMIA. I also referred to the fact that some agencies ask applicants to pay fees upon fees. Thank u so much.... I will keep u posted |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by ebimarian: 5:35am On Mar 11, 2017 |
Blackbuddy: The process could take from some weeks to a number of months. Another challenge is the cost to employers. LMOs used to be $275 but LMIAs now cost $1000 each so you can see it has to be a serious job before an employer will shell that much out. And they have to prove that the vacancy has been advertised for at least 6 months in Canada and they couldn't find anyone to fill the position. Let's see how your situation works out, just stay on top of every demand that is made on you especially your personal details and financial implications.
Which test were you asked to take? For real....what do u mean by Let's see how your situation works out, just stay on top of every demand that is made on you especially your personal details and financial implications. -most esp financially implications... Would I be asked to present my bank statement at the embassy ....is that what u meant...?pls explain and yes I was asked to send my ielts result and police report ....thanks... |

Blackbuddy: Okay, it appears there has been some progress in regards a potential job offer. Could you please confirm your professional background? You don't need to tell me your exact current employer, just confirm what you do and what will you will be doing for the Canadian employer. Scarborough is one of the cities in the GTA - Greater Toronto Area. It's close to Toronto and there are a number of employers there in the finance and I.T. sectors that come to mind now. It's an okay place to live as well although there is a high concentration of Asians there but not a problem. There is a high density of immigrant population there so you will likely get to mix with a lot of foreign born people. To be truthful, there are a lot of low income family neighborhoods in this city so crime is a bit of a challenge in some areas. A lot of people who work there actually live in other suburbs/cities like Mississauga, Brampton, etc where there is better family life/security and just commute to work. I myself landed in Mississauga and lived there for a while. I work in Toronto and now live in Brampton. You can continue to watch the process with the recruiting agency and see where it leads. Bear in mind LMIA issuance can take a while but fingers crossed. All the best. I'm an accounts officer.... And by Gods grace I will be working as a benefits officer there .....Wow...is that it for Scarborough.-d crime thing... It is well oooo....thanks for d info....but how many months will d lmia take and I was even requested to submit my police report too and d test too....where can I take d test |

Blackbuddy: The information on their website suggests they assist interested persons to find employment in Canada. The catch is that they did not say if it is guaranteed for people interested to find jobs from abroad.
This is where I would be wary as you will definitely be required to register with them and it is highly likely that you will have to pay 'a fee' for their job search service. If you had already landed here, I would have said give it a shot as landed persons don't pay agencies for job search. It is employers who pay this cost in Canada but as you are an offshore candidate which most employers are not interested in (due to the long, protracted and expensive process of sponsoring potential workers and pursuing LMIA) I don't feel this is viable option to pursue.
In summary, I would say thread with caution. If you forge ahead with them, ensure you find out exactly what their service entails and how much it cost. Your best bet though would be to just get a PR visa, land here and explore your world of options here. This is how it worked for me as I have previously shared at Canadavisa forum (as Pipis Husband). My two cents, cheers. Truthfully I paid them thru an agent here 32k around Nov and de got back to me only recently that my LMIA application is now in progress, and your draft contract is likewise available, that my Employer has now required you to provide an IELTS “General Training” test score of (CLB-7 which means 6 band in each module) before they can issue the draft contract.an employer in Scarborough, Ontario.... Please what's your sincere advice on this...and where exactly is the Scarborough... Is it OK for immigrants? |
