The Airforce jet that crashed today in Abuja seems like a terrorist attack.
The recent scenario in Nigeria is worrisome. Earlier this week, Nigeria Airforce attacked ESN in Orlu which lead to a counter attack that resulted in two planes been gunned down using rocket launcher according to video been circulated online which was later removed from Radio Biafra London facebook page.

Could today's plane crash be as a result of terrorist attack??

On the second thought, could it be an assassination of high profiled officers ?

Immediately you join, they will send you a link to click so to get registered.

Immediately you click on that link a cloned website that resemble Facebook will pop up and demand you input your Facebook login to take you back to Facebook. Once you enter those details, your Facebook password and username will be sent to them via email.

Once they get hold of your Facebook details, they will now write a scaming Facebook post claiming that they earn 200% of income they invested on CHYMALL within 45minutes.

Hours after US President, Donald Trump shared a video of a parade organized for him by Nigerians on his Twitter handle, a top American professor retorted with a racist tweet that has sparked reactions from both Americans and Nigerians.

Ebonyi Tv reports that the racist tweet was made by a Distinguished Professor of Economics from University of New York, Paul Robin Krugman, stereotyped Nigerians as fraudsters.

Paul Krugman, also a columnist for the New York Press attempted to ridicule Donald Trump by insinuating that the parade was a part of an elaborate scam known as "Nigerian prince"

Donald Trump who is in contest to return as United States President for the second term had shared a video of parade organized for him by a church in Nigeria, captioning it "a great honour" for him.
Hours after his tweet, Professor Krugman mocked Trump's tweet and said Nigerians also sent in a letter offering a million dollar in exchange to help a local prince move funds out of the country.

The post labeled "racist" triggered reactions from Americans and Nigerians with majority hitting back at Krugman for making a hasty generalization of Nigerians. While most Americans chided him for being a racist, Nigerians on the other hand upheld that fraud is a global thing and also prevalent in US.

Ebonyi State Govt To Empower 2600 Youths With One Million Naira Each
...Gov. Umahi task council bosses to fish out hoodlums in seven days

Governor David Umahi has announced that the government of Ebonyi State has set aside the sum of 2.6bn naira for over 2600 youths drawn from the 13 council areas of the state.

Governor Umahi broke the cheering news on Wednesday at the New Government House, Ochudo Centenary City, Abakaliki during a courtesy call on the governor by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG, Celestine Okoye. The event was also aimed at tightening security loose ends in the area in the wake of police station attack in Ezza South Council Area of the State yesterday.
He explained that there is an urgent need for the youths to be economically empowered to steer off every form of violence which is why he has called for a roundtable dialogue to know exactly what the youth expect
of his administration.

The governor further stated that the empowerment will go a long way in giving the youth sound economic footing because an "idle man" is in popular parlance, "a devil's workshop".

Governor Umahi also appealed for peace and ceasefire while explaining his readiness to rehabilitate the youths who have gone the wrong way of looting, killing and destroying government property in the state. He urged all to join the onerous tasks of building the state for greater economic growth, development and prosperity.
"My position as the Governor of Ebonyi State is that whether you are IPOB, militants, criminal, or a cultist, I have put down the SME fund, the loan we got from the CBN to give it to you and that is 2.6bn. That will be for 200 people per LGA.

" Again and again, I call on the youths, the good, the bad, the ugly, we have 2.6bn. We want the local government chairmen, the coordinators, let us identify these 200 people. Not when we ask you to do these, you go and write your brothers and sisters that are working or on government appointment. We need to take off 200 youths from the street.

"So, we believe we can rehabilitate these people, retrain them and then get them something doing. It is an olive branch which I am offering to them. "The good ones and the bad ones can also benefit from it".

Governor Umahi tasked the Council Area bosses to fish out the perpetrators of the heinous act within the next 7 days and bring them to him for possible amnesty; " I have called the three Local Government Chairmen and the Coordinators to task you, the people that came to destroy us are from these three local government areas. They have shown themselves. Some of them that have bullet wounds have also confessed. So, I have called you to demand that you bring them to me. I am going to be giving you seven days to bring them to me and there will be no excuses.

"Two ways we can approach it; if you bring them, I can show them amnesty and rehabilitate them but if you don't bring them, I will fish them out of the forest."

Heavily armed robbery gang in the early hours of Wednesday invaded one of the Assemblies of God churches in Abakaliki, raped a girl and shot another girl on the laps. Ebonyi Tv gathered.

Youths belonging to the drama wing of the church were said to be having all night rehearsal in preparation for a drama programme proposed to hold on Friday September 25, 2020, when they where attacked by hoodlums.
Ebonyi Tv gathered that the attack was said to have occurred between 1.00am and 2.00am in the morning.
While they raped a girl whose identity was yet to be disclosed, they shot another girl on the laps.
The robbers were also said to have stolen some equipment belonging to the church.

Other youths of the church in the same programme were said to have deserted the church for safety at the time of the event.

When Ebonyi Tv correspondent visited the church, the pastor in charge was not available, but some elders of the church who spoke in confidence confirmed the incident, but pleaded for time to gather all the necessary information.

One them particularly said, “Yes what you had is true. We were called this morning to be notified on the incident, however we will not be able to give you all the details you require now.
“Our pastor who is incharge of this place is not available now, he stayed awake all through the night that this thing happened.

“You can come back in two days time so that we will be properly briefed, and we along with our pastor will give you the accurate information.

“However the matter has been reported to the police and the girls has been taken to hospital for treatment.”
Further findings by this newspaper revealed that many youths especially boys were affected in the incident but are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
The state police spokesperson, DSP Loveth Odah, when contacted by this newspaper said she is yet to be briefed on the incident.

Miss Aroh Chinenye who was butchered by an Ezza-Abakaliki soil tillers in a Fulani Herdsmen look alike operation have being moved out from Nyeche hospital in Ishiagu to FMC Abakaliki.


Recall Ebonyi Tv had earlier reported that two Abakaliki Soil tillers gruesomely butchered a lady identify as Miss Aroh Chinenye after she refused to hire them to till her farmland.

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has called for the destruction of the Church of Satan’s temple in the United States, US.

Fani-Kayode made the call while sharing a picture showing disciples of the Church of Satan having a procession in the US.

In a tweet, the former Aviation Minister called on God to destroy the Church of Satan’s temple and their disciples.

He anchored his call on claims that they were what he termed ‘the seeds of Belial and the offspring of the serpent.’

Abia Tricylce Riders Go On Rampage, Allege TIMAAS Extortion (VIDEO)

Just when the Abia State task force are revving up its operations in a renewed COVID-19 compulsory order of wearing facemask, some tricycle riders on thursday went on a rampage in Isigate,Umuahia in a fracas with Indiscipline Management Agency, Abia State (TIMAAS) .
For over 4hour, the Isigate which is the commercial hub in Umuahia was thrown into chaos as the rampaging tricycle riders protested against alleged extortion by TIMAAS.

While the melee lasted, the Tricycle riders formed a barricade between the post office road leading to Isigate, preventing other road users from accessing the route.

Before they were dispersed by police, the riders lamented series of extortion experienced in the hands of the TIMAAS. A tricycle rider who spoke with Ebonyi Tv said he had been arrested twice in the space of a week and on each occasion, he has had to bail himself and his tricycle with over N60,000.
"Each time we carry passengers, we do ask them to show us their facemask and probably wear them, but if eventually they pull it off while we are still driving without our notice, TIMAAS officials who stop us will demand for a bribe as high as N60,000, if we refuse, they will seize our tricycle. They are frustrating us, were do they expect us to get such amount of money from? Since the government gave an order that we should only operate from 8am to 4pm life have being very difficult for us. This extortion is too much and we need urgent intervention from the government". He said.

Popular Cameroonian pastor, Frankline Ndifor, who claimed he could cure coronavirus is dead.

The Pastor, who was also a presidential candidate in the country’s last election, a week ago prayed for the healing of some coronavirus patients who turned up at the Kingship International Ministries Church.

The doctor who treated Ndifor, Dr Gaelle Nnanga told the Voice of America that the Pastor died less than 10 minutes after suffering severe respiratory difficulties resulting from COVID-19.

He told VOA that he took a medical team to the late Pastor’s house after he got calls from some members of Ndifor’s Kingship International Ministries Church that he was having severe respiratory difficulties.

Meanwhile, health officials have asked those who had contact with the pastor to report to hospitals to be tested for COVID-19.

Ndifor has been buried in front of his residence Saturday by workers of Cameroon’s COVID-19 response team in Douala.
Ndifor came 7th out of nine candidates in 2018’s presidential election with 23,687 votes.

So far, Cameroon has recorded 3,529 confirmed cases of coronavirus with 140 deaths recorded.

Two Nigerian students have been arrested for peddling illicit drugs in Cyprus.

The two Nigerian students, identified as Onuwa Kachıkwu and Uduak Emmanuel, were arrested on Wednesday, May 6, 2020.

A total of 17 grams of wrapped drugs have been retrieved from the two Nigerian students. Equally important, one of the two Nigerian students – the lady identified as Uduak Emmanuel; was busted for selling drugs to undercover cops. She was reported to have sold drugs to the Department of Narcotics and Anti-Smuggling in Cyprus.

Equally important, the duo have been arraigned in a Cyprus court. They were both charged with receiving, selling and storing illicit drugs when they appeared before Judge Hazal Hacımulla; of the Nicosia Accident Court on Thursday.

Murat Özkırdar, the police officer who busted the two Nigerian students; also discovered $3750, €400, £50, and 1100 TL in a shoe box in their room. Specifically, the money is believed to be proceeds of illicit drugs sales. Subsequently, the judge ordered the suspects to be remanded in detention for five days; so as to ensure non-interference with the criminal investigation against them.

Meanwhile, Eboniytv can reveal that one of the suspects – Uduak Emmanuel – had built up a reputation for notoriety. As a matter of fact, she had been known to flaunt her drug peddling and abuse habit on social media. Returnees Couple Tested Positive For Coronavirus In Ebonyi

The Ebonyi State Government has announced another confirmed cases of novel Coronavirus, bringing the number of the cases in the state to seven.

The executive governor of the state David Umahi  made the disclosure  in a statewide broadcast on Friday which was monitored by Ebonyitvnews.

Umahi said the cases were a couple, who recently came into the state despite restrictions on movement.

“The man and wife have tested positive for Coronavirus. The man is 26 years old while the wife is 19 years old and they are from Ezza Inyimagu in Ekwulegu community in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State”

“They have been moved to the treatment centre but no cause for alarm, we are on top of the situation."He stated.

Another devaluation Looms As Naira Depreciates To N570 to $1

Nigeria’s 5 years onshore Non-Deliverable forward contract posted its biggest drop by plunging 27% from N413.36 to close at N569.69 a price differential of N156. The 1-year Non-Deliverable forward contract was down 5% from N394.29 to close at N421.22 a price differential of N26.93.

One month NDF is now N395/$1 suggesting an imminent devaluation in the I&E window which could also impact the current official exchange rate of N360/$1 as well as the BDC rate which was devalued to N370/$1 some weeks back.


A forward market is an OTC market platform that fixes the price of a financial asset for future delivery. Forward markets are used for trading a range of instruments, especially in the foreign exchange market. Forward currency contracts are used by traders, investors to lock in a currency’s exchange on a date agreed on.

What this means: This depreciation is a clear indication of the supply gap that currently exists in the foreign exchange market. Demand is high but not enough supply to stabilize exchange rate. As things stand, the CBN will struggle to support the exchange rate as it did in 2017 when it newly introduced the I&E window. Back then, oil prices picked up and the government also received proceeds from its Eurobond offers.

The CBN’s expensive rate induced monetary policy also helped keep foreign dollars within Nigeria. The situation has changed from then as oil prices remain depressed and the economy is still reeling from the Covid-19 lockdowns.

There is also likely going to be more depreciation of the naira if things remain the same. Sources with connection to the megabanks inform Nairametrics that as things stand, most local businesses that rely on foreign inputs with significant dollar demand will either have to pivot sourcing locally or go bankrupt.


Meanwhile, the naira had hit N460 last week at the black market (its weakest level in three years), as dollar scarcity crippled the market. The naira was selling at N442 to a dollar at the black market today according to the Everdon bureau de change. The black market rate remains 16% lower than the official exchange rate which is pegged at N360.

Supreme Court on Friday Nullifies Orji Uzor Kalu’s Conviction.


Ebonyitvnews learnt that a seven-man panel of the apex court also set aside the judgment which convicted Ude Udeogu, a former Director of Finance and Account at the Abia State Government House.

The Supreme Court gave the judgement on Friday, more than one year after both men were convicted of corruption allegations levelled against them by the Federal Government.

Justice Mohammed Idris of the Federal High Court in Lagos had sentenced Senator Kalu to 12 years imprisonment in his judgement delivered on April 24, 2019.

He had also sentenced Mr Udeogu to 10 years imprisonment on the same day.

Displeased with the judgement of the Federal High Court, Kalu and Udeogu filed an appeal to challenge their sentencing at the Supreme Court.

The apex court, in a unanimous verdict on the appeal delivered by Justice Ejembi Eko, declared that the conviction of the appellants was null and void.

Justice Eko explained that the declaration was on the ground that Justice Mohammed Idris was already a Justice of the Court of Appeal, as at the time he delivered the judgment sentencing the appellants.

He held that a Justice of the Court of Appeal cannot operate as a judge of the Federal High Court.

The apex court, therefore, ordered the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court to reassign the case for trial.
