The National Association of Resident Doctors has suspended its nationwide indefinite strike, which commenced on June 20. The President of the association, Dr. Mohammad Askira, made the disclosure on Saturday in Abuja while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the association’s National Executive Council meeting held on Friday. Askira said the strike was suspended to enable the Federal Government implement the agreement reached with the association on or before July 14, adding that the doctors would resume work on June 27. He said the meeting also resolved to review the progress of government intervention at the next NEC meeting of the association scheduled for July 25 to 30 in Keffi for appropriation action. Askira expressed gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for his promise to implement all the agreements reached between the association and the government. He commended the President for directing the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, to resolve the impasse in the best interest of Nigerians. He also expressed gratitude to the Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; and the Nigerian Medical Association, among others for their interventions to resolve the crisis. Askira urged members of the association to remain calm as they resume their normal duties and promised that none of them would be victimised for participating in the strike. The association commenced strike on July 20 to press home its demands which included non payment of salaries and non availability of residency training guidelines, among others. https://www.today.ng/news/national/143253/resident-doctors-suspend-nationwide-indefinite-strike |

Dem dem pipu will soon ask for pictures of Okah in prison if they provide the pictures, they will say it is Photoshop and ask for video evidence. If provided they will say it is film trick. They will ask Buhari to go and shake Okah in prison while holding today newspaper on NTA News, if he does that they will now say that Buhari is supporting MEND to fight against Avengers and he is weak man for giving into their demands. If he now punishes anyone involved they will say it is because it is SS, he will not do it if it is north... You see where I am going with this? |
focus7:Are you alright sir? I am a Lagosian and I supported and campaigned for A+ in the last election. Wetin concern me and Enugu? I am from Imo BTW (the state with an APC Governor and the state that gave Buhari the highest number of votes in the South East) I was making a sarcastic statement. #ItesiwajuEko

If Jimi Agabje had won, he would have brought back Okada to our highways... |
Ajibel:Aswear. That is exactly what he did. We really need that stadium for our Champions League games. I do hope they stadium is completed in earnest. If not, we are out... We will be playing 6 away games |
Oga Guvunor. When will you complete the Enyimba Stadium. We don't have a home anymore. Asking as an Enyimba Fan. Cc ajibel |

eph12:I wasn't talking about the bill but the hypocrisy of pushing such bill, I am not interested in the content... |
eph12:I think you quoted the wrong person... ![]() |
Wait. What kind of hypocrisy is that? When they wanted SUVs, why didn't they go for Innoson or Nigerian Assembled Vehicles? This Senate has been playing to the gallery and it is becoming nauseating. The HOR have been doing a better job so far. I am disappointed in Saraki, Ben Bruce, Shehu Sani and StarBoy Dino. I actually believed in them... |
Kelliebright:Tribalism runs through your veins |
Mogbe. As a conspiracy theorist. It is better I don't say anything asides from RIP Judge Evoh |
Uju Stella you are a well known runs girl in Lekki and environs. It is a job. Burna was your client. Why on earth are you pregnant? Was that part of the deal? |
SMH. My Igbo brothers are now heartless people who just want blood to flow. They don't have any iota of sanity any longer. They are seen everywhere supporting evil. If it is not looters yesterday, it is NDA today or Boko Haram tomorrow. It is absolutely disgusting. They are screaming everywhere (especially on Facebook) Fulanis are heartless, Buhari wants to kill us all. They should just look in the mirror... |
Shym3xx:OK. But the LASG have been exploring these potentials na... ![]() |
Shym3xx:Been following this discourse and at this point I have to ask you, what are these potentials? |
ajebuter:But you be Ajepako na. Your picture dey talk another story oh.... ![]() |
vigasimple:Zombie. IPAD. etc. All those tags don't move me. If you can read properly. You will see where I wrote WORSE twice, I even placed it in caps. There is serious fire on the mountain and the only man that I think can quench it is Buhari. |
amtaken:Because you don't undersell yourself. It is impossible. When you are looking for a job, searching for a life partner or looking for a one night stand. It is when you enter that you try to manage the realities... Moreover, this economic reality is due to our monoeconomy... |
It MUST get WORSE before it can get BETTER. If it doesn't get WORSE it cannot get BETTER. Nigerians should be patient with my President... |
We heard the stadium would be re-opened before June, it's the close of June now and nothing has changed
