PoliticsRe: Massive Protest In Egor LGA, Edo State Over 17 Months Unpaid Salaries (photos) by EbukaLive(m): 1:56pm On Jul 08, 2016
It is sad that PDP wants to turn this Local Government Salaries matter into their election talking point.

Let them continue, POI is going to win for sure, the state is handed over to its former masters and professional politicians. The Anenihs and Igbis are happy again, everyone is happy. The massive strides made in IGR will be thrown into the water, the fact that Edo State is not owing workers salaries will become a thing of the past, Edo State will now have a money sharing formula again, the money will move around. The economic development and attraction will be out on hold, everyone is happy... the masses are happy, the politicians are happy...

Pastor Ize-Iyamu for Governor

It is POI we want!!!!!

Politics$15b Deals: I’m Ready For Trial, Says Ex-nsa Dasuki by EbukaLive(op): 9:51am On Jul 08, 2016
Former National Security Adviser (NSA) Col. Sambo Dasuki
(retd) has protested his detention for alleged $15billion
arms deals facilitated by the Office of National Security
Adviser (ONSA).
He says the Federal Government should allow his trial to
begin, The Nation learnt yesterday.
Dasuki is said to have told his associates that he is not
disposed to a secret trial.
He insists that based on service rules in a security system,
he only obeyed the directive of the President and
Commander-in-Chief, former President Goodluck
Jonathan.
The ex-NSA, The Nation learnt, told his associates: “I am
ready for trial because they have destroyed my family’s
name and my professional integrity, especially how we
successfully fought Boko Haram and recovered major
towns and cities, not villages. They should let my trial start
in earnest to enable Nigerians know the truth from
falsehood.
There is a plan to try Dasuki’s case in secret to protect
some of the witnesses. But Dasuki disagreed.
He said: ”I don’t believe in secret trial and there is no basis
for it because the government has filed all necessary
papers in court and attached the list of witnesses. Since
the witnesses have become public knowledge, there is no
basis for secret trial.’
Dasuki also queried the rationale for keeping him in
custody “without any warrant”.
He said: “Since I was detained in the custody of the
Department of State Service (DSS), I have not been shown
any warrant to this effect or court order.
”I deserve to be shown the warrant of detention by DSS
and the purpose for restricting me to house arrest. My
detention is unlawful.”
He urged Nigerians to prevail on the government to admit
him to bail in line with the present administration’s
commitment to the Rule of Law.
Dasuki said: “All those who collected funds from ONSA
have been granted bail but I am still in custody. I have
been granted bail on all the cases filed against me by the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and
even DSS, but I have not been released.
”If all the beneficiaries of the so-called funds are on bail,
what have I done wrong? Nigerians should help prevail on
the government to grant me bail.
”I cannot rock the boat. I am prepared for trial. We did
everything with national and security interest.”
Dasuki stressed that he disbursed all the funds credited to
ONSA based on the directive of ex-President Goodluck
Jonathan.
”Based on the service rules in the security circle, I owe it a
duty to obey the President and Commander-In-Chief. Ex-
President Jonathan approved all the expenses incurred by
ONSA.
”I am ready to prove in court how we complied with the
directive of the ex-President.”
Dasuki was initially arrested by the DSS but EFCC took
custody of him for trial.
But he was later returned to DSS facility from where he had
been going to various courts.
The EFCC had arraigned Dasuki, and two others on 19-
count charge of misappropriation of funds meant for
purchase of arms before a Federal Capital Territory High
Court in Maitama, Abuja.

Whether he withdrew the case or not is not the issue after all no judge will have the courage to rule against PMB. But one thing is sure, PMB is never a man of integrity as some of us thought. He is as criminally minded as other politicians. He still has the opportunity to clear all doubts on this and come out straight.
At the end of the day, Nigeria loses because our institutions are weak and easily manipulated by the powerful. Maybe the next president after PMB will take a clue and do even worse and nothing will happen.
Been following this discuss and I am only replying you because you sound reasonable and you mentioned strengthening our institutions something I am really passionate about. Now, to the issue at hand. You are saying PMB should 'come out straight' and do what? Say he has his certificate with him? Because he doesn't. Buhari does not HAVE his WASC Certificate, he 'lost' it, long away and he swore an affidavit to this end. I am sorry I can't explain how he said he lost it now as it is a long story. However, the case against him in the court of law that he HAD to employ an itinerary of legal counsel is about his QUALIFICATION to contest the presidency vis a vis his academic qualification (WASC Certificate). A constitutional matter, but if you see the Nigerian Constitution, it does not say WASSCE or BsC or PhD is actually required, in fact a primary school certificate will suffice, WASC Certificate will also suffice or its equivalent. You will agree with me that Buhari more than fulfils all these requirement and the case against him makes no sense in actual fact. The case is not Show Me Your Certificate but you are not qualified to run for presidency.

PS: The Statement of result was produced by his sec school. And a result sheet showing his result and others that took the exams with him. Buhari owes no one any other explanation or evidences as he has satisfied INEC Requirements even before that SOR was released in fact since 2003.

Well, the reason why there are job losses is because the jobs market was dependent on the high number of dollars coming into the economy on high oil prices. And most of them jobs were in Service-type jobs....not in the real industrial sector where real growth takes place.

And our industrial sector was suffering because we were overimporting the things we should have been producing.

Now that oil prices have gone down...the cash from oil has gone down....and the jobs have gone.

In other words....2010-14 was a time of FAKE growth.(And we were there before...in the 1970's and early 80's).

What this government should be doing (and what you should be judging them on, instead of waiting for oil prices to rise again...which is what you wailers and your friends the zombies have in common)....is to spend money on power , transport and technical education.

Things which stimulate industrial....and therefore real growth....not oil , agric, and mining revenues stimulated growth that at the end of the day means our money goes abroad in the name of importation.

Wailer and Zombie...leave that oil alone. Real countries are industrial and innovation dependent.
Best comment on the Nigerian Economy in Narialand ever! I really wish I don't love Buhari and APC that much.

But can u hear what you saying or probably see what you are typing, A state as big and composed of literates like Ondo.. Its still not fair.. In government, equity should be done.. That is when you respect the Constitution
I am tired of explaining this thing. I am not saying that there are defending the SGF as I have said more than once, there are other things he did not address properly but you cannot keep telling me that equity was not observed or Bubu is doesn't like Ondo State. That is nonsense. Ekiti State had two nominees. EKITI STATE. Fayose 's state has two nominees. Anambra has two. Kwara has two, the state of his supposed enemy, Saraki. Cross River also has two. Analyse the list yourself. If you have the NAMES of CAREEER DIPLOAMTS in Level 16/17 from Plateau (APC), Ondo, Bayelsa or Ebonyi. Please furnish me with those names. I will be the first to condemn Pastor Lawal for lying....

So how is this a case of that. Note that Ekiti state had one or even two out of the list. There are other salient issues that the SGF did not address as regarding Junior and Seniors and also NIA. Let me digress a little. I have two Nigerians I admire the most and they are Buhari and Kumuyi. Do you see what he did here, not touching the pitch at all. That is how events should be hosted in our stadia. I remember attending SAY2001 @ The National Stadium, Lagos. We used the stadium for one week and left the stadium in a better shape than we met it. If people can remember, Pastor Chris started doing crusades there after that, using the pitch, seats were stolen, stadium was vandalised and the stadium has not remained the same. These little things really matter.

Nigeria will be great one day.
