omega25red: im sorry to say but it seems like you were sold a second hand battery. There isn't really much you can do about a battery that isn't holding charge anymore other than recycle it and get a new one.

my advice the next battery you buy, should be lithium ion and not nickle cadmium. Basically when you are about to get the battery look for this written on it: Li-ion (lithium -ion)

you definately dont want the one that says NiCad on it because those nickel cadmium batteries die quickly which is why they are so cheap. Also dont allow anyone to remove a battery from another computer and sell it to you as new. always buy new from manufacturer is you can

omega25red: when you say it is dead what do you mean? because dead could mean i didnt charge it but i expect it to work or i charge it but it drains really quickly. By the way the new battery you purchased, was it from a reputable dealer or did you possibly get a second hand battery.
