I just sold a domain name at Afternic. Domain name is BMK and it is a dot io domain and was bought in march 2017 at $32.88 with renewal in march 2018 for about the same amount. Domain was sold at $800, which is my biggest sale to date.

Special thanks to all the Gurus in the house for keeping this thread alive and sharing domain tips with us.

I used Escrow to receive the payment into my domiciliary account and not for making payment.

Just sold one of my domain names. I got a mail from DomainAgent that they buyer who is interested in my domain name. The buyer offered to buy it for $250, but because I already listed it at Afternic and Sedo for $500, I quoted same amount for the buyer. We negotiated for 1 week and I refused to go below $400 while buyer was stuck on $350. I simply ignored him without contacting him again until a week later when I got his mail that he has accepted it for $400. Buyer pays the Escrow charges. Domain was transferred to him.

Once you attach all the document requested, they will get it approved. They request the following document:
1. Means of identity - eg international passport
2. Verified bidder form - fill, sign and scan

They also requested for scan copy of your credit card; see a snip of the mail i got. Mine was processed in two days.

NOTE: I submitted the recent receipt from my online purchase at godaddy as well as POS receipt after buying fuel with my the same debit card.

Happy Sunday All, I just sold a dot com domain at Afternic for $349. Domain name was initially sold at Sedo.com but Sedo later cancelled the transaction stating security reasons for their action. I listed at Afternic.com with a BIN and domain is now sold. Thanks to the Gurus and everyone else for keeping this thread alive.

It is just the normal listing fee. Domain is liveoak

Hello Guru's and fellow students in the house, I just sold a dot io domain at flippa.com. Domain was registered with namecheap.com few months back and buyer initially offered $100 but I countered with $300. Buyer later offered to pay $200 which was accepted. Payment was done through flippa escrow. Thanks to all my Ogas

The 60 day lock period is applicable when you are transferring to a different registrar for example between GoDaddy and NameCheap, but if buyer and seller are with same registrar then it can be transferred at any time.

The domain was registered 17th December 2016 and sold on 30th January. It was listed at sedo.com with a BIN and parked at bodis.com. the buyer saw it at bodis.com and offered to buy it for $30 and that he needs it for a small project. I was excited but countered his offer with $249. He then increased his offer price to 150 euro and I accepted. I gave him the options of escrow.com or PayPal, but that I must receive the money in PayPal account before transferring the domain name. He accepted to use PayPal, once the money was received, I then transferred the domain to him.

I finally made my first sales on domain name business today. It is a dot io domain extension and buyer from Germany saw the domain parked at bodis and contacted me with an offer. After negotiating back and forth, deal was finally sealed when he made the transfer of 150 euro into paypal account and I had to transfer the domain to him. The amount was less than the BIN but I had to let go. Thanks to @iykepromotions for supporting me through the process.

Though earlier explained here before. If you got a domain that qualifies for parking, first go to the parking company of your choice. Bodis is one of the highest paying company in terms of parking. create a free account, activate your account through a link that will be sent to your email address and through an SMS to your mobile. After activation, login to your parking account and click on "add Domain" after successfully adding your domain, now go back to your registrar i.e where you bought that domain name. What are you going there to do? to change the nameservers. without changing the name servers, no adverts will appear on the domain and no revenue will be generated.

To change your nameservers, login to your domain account and locate where your domains are by clicking on manage domains or domain manager. Once in your domain account, click on that particular domain and search for where they wrote"name servers" click on it and fill the first two boxes with the nameserver of your parking company. For example bodis nameservers are

NS1.BODIS.COM
NS2.BODIS.COM
after that "click Save" That's all. Before 24 hours adverts will be placed allover the domain and it will look exactly like a website.
