The younger brother to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Kingsley Kanunta Kanu has reacted to the killing of seven youths in Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State by operatives of Ebubeagu security outfit.
Reports have it that operatives of Ebubeagu security outfit had killed the seven youths while returning from a traditional wedding in Awomama.
However, Kanu condemned the killing of the youths.

In a tweet, Kanu accused Governors Hope Uzodinma of Imo State and Dave Umahi of Ebonyi States of “competing in killing Igbo youths.”

“The massacre of 14 innocent #Biafran youths in Awo Omamma by Gov Uzodinma’s Ebubeagu militia in Imo state today is unacceptable and must be condemned.
“@Govhopeuzodinma and @DaveUmahi are competing in killing #BiafranYouths,” he tweeted.
The spokesperson of the State Police Command, Micheal Abattam, confirmed the incident.

Abattam disclosed that Mohammed Ahmed Barde, the Commissioner of Police, ordered investigations into the killings.

Political thugs have allegedly vandalised the businesses of some Igbo traders at Old garage, in Osogbo, the state capital.
In a viral video sighted by DAILY POST, shops of traders from the eastern part of the country were attacked over their alleged choice of candidate in Saturday’s governorship election.
A man behind the camera alleged that the thugs vandalised their counters for supporting Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in last Saturday’s gubernatorial election.

Confirming the attack, the chairman of Ohaneze Ndigbo in Osun State, Pastor John Dike said no one was injured adding that everything is under control.
He said the people who destroyed the counters belonging to the Igbo traders were dissatisfied with the outcome of the governorship election.

“You know, in an election like this, you can’t rule out the possibility of dissatisfied persons. It’s not anything serious. Some of our people had their counters destroyed but we have brought that under control as I speak to you now.
“We are not taking any serious actions against it because we know that there are skirmishes of things like this when elections come up and go.
“The Yorubas that we live in their land are peace-loving people and we have been living friendly. So, it is something we can handle. There is no one injured as I speak to you,” he said.

The easiest type of election to be won is second term or reelection. If you are wise, you will use first term to cement your second term by working for your state.

If is very shameful to throw a seating office holder out of power. This means you failed in the last 4 years

A video showing the moment the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ademola Adeleke, prostrated for Adedeji Adeleke, father of Nigerian singer, Davido after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared him winner of the Osun governorship election has surfaced on social media.

Recall, the Returning Officer for the election and Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, announced that Adeleke got a total of 403,371 votes, beating the incumbent, Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, who got 375,027 votes in a keenly contested race.

He said, “I declare Adeleke Ademola Jackson Nurudeen, on behalf of the chairman of INEC, of the PDP, having satisfied the requirement of the law, is hereby declared the winner and he is returned elected.”

According to the total votes recorded by the electoral umpire, the PDP won 17 of the 30 Local Government Areas of the state, while the APC won the remaining 13.

The PDP won in Ede North, Ede South, Ifelodun, Boluwaduro, Egbedore, Odo Otin, Osogbo, Ila, Atakumosa West, Olorunda, Ilesa West, Obokun, Oriade, Orolu, Ife North, Irepodun, and Ejigbo LGAs.

Reacting to the announcement, Ademola in excitement immediately went down on the floor, prostrating to his brother.

Money and vote buying couldn't save them in Osun, their security men couldn't save them in Osun. What makes you think they will save them in 2023 general elections in 36 states.
