PoliticsWhy I Like The Igbos – Pastor Adeboye Reveals by Echile(op): 7:25am On Dec 05, 2022
While preaching on the topic titled, “In My Father’s House,” the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, stated that he likes the Igbo people because each time it comes to Christmas celebration, they always return to their roots in the village.

He stated that a house in the topic “In my father’s house” does not actually mean a real house but a family or the root where one belongs. While giving an illustration, he stated that when a child, who is sitting on a seat stands up for an elder who has no seat, the elder will tell him that he comes from a good house. According to him, the child came from a good family.

However, Pastor Adeboye stated that he likes the Igbo because they don’t normally forget their roots. He added that they don’t normally care about their mansions because they are not as important as their families in the villages.

According to him, “I like my friends of the Igbo culture. When it is Christmas season, they leave the mansions they have there in Lagos and move to the village.” They are going back to their roots, and when you ask them where they’re going, they will tell you, “I’m going to my house.”

PoliticsShettima Left Confused As Imo State Stakeholders Walk Away From Town Hall Meetin by Echile(op): 8:16am On Nov 18, 2022
The All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, was left confused at the podium as the people of Imo State walked out on him.
Naija News earlier reported that APC flagbearer, Bola Tinubu, alongside Shettima, National leader of the party, Abdullahi Adamu, Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, and other party chieftains, on Thursday held a town hall meeting with South-East stakeholders in Imo state.

While the event was still ongoing, some of the stakeholders present at the meeting staged a walkout, resulting in a rowdy session.

It is uncertain why the stakeholders walked out and the action left Shettima confused as a voice could be heard pleading with the residents to sit down as the meeting was not over while ordering the security to close the gate.

The video generated mixed reactions from some Nigerians, while some applauded the stakeholder’s action others pointed at the facial expression of Shettima over the incident.

Conclusion

A critical look at the educational system in the country, we could see that Northern part of Nigeria is lagging behind, and it has become a issue for the governments till date. Economically endowed and popular states like Kano and Kaduna are still not able to listed as most educated states. The reason for this backwardness of the Northerners on education is because of the multi population in this areas.

Educational attainment in the country can go a long way to addressing the development of our local communities. This notion was also stressed by Cinda Klickna, President of the Illinois Education Association in a quote, “Every community can attract and retain quality workers, build an economic engine, and increase productivity, but these all rely on a strong focus on education.”

With the country having an ever-increasing population, there is a need to get more than half-educated, so as not to also increase the rate of illiteracy.

So, if you look at the statistics of education in Nigeria, you will see that the state of the plateau is the northernmost

One man who has been busy marrying all the young girls in Nigeria came out and was talking nonsense about me in BBC news interview that Atiku dumped me because i am a trouble maker.

“Ned Nwoko should tell Nigerians what he has achieved ever since he joined politics other than jumping from one little girl to another. A Pedophile coming to talk to me a sitting Governor, he should hide his face in shame;

“I joined PDP before him, he has no political structure in PDP. I have higher stake in PDP than him. If he’s man enough let him contest for PDP Presidential primary election and watch if he will get one single vote!

“This is a man after drinking Ogogoro mixed with burukutu, he will go in search of little girls to defile. His only achievement since he joined politics is marrying different kinds of women and this is the type of person PDP Delta State gave the mandate to contest for Senatorial position in the forthcoming election. Is that how Nigeria is going to change for the better..
“Ned Nwoko should face the pyramid of wives he gathered in his house and leave Wike alone. It’s obvious he no longer thinks straight like a normal human being. Tell me, how can one man marry over 6 wives and still have his brain intact.

PoliticsOgwashi-uku Monarch Labels Otulu Community IPOB Camp by Echile(op): 11:08am On Jun 22, 2022
ASABA – Ogwashi-Uku Monarch, yesterday lableled Otulu-Ugo community in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State as a hideout for the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The Monarch declared that the community has been hijacked by members of the agitating group.

This development is unconnected to peaceful demonstration of Otulu Community in Aniocha South Local Government Area of the state, to express their disaffection over alleged oppression from it’s parent Community, Ogwashi-Uku community.

The over hundred protesters who stormed Government House in Asaba, indicted the traditional ruler of Ogwashi-Uku community, HRM Obi Ifeachukwude Okonjo in their supplications.

In his address, the Iyase of Otulu-Ugo community, Chief Christopher Isekekpei pleaded that Otulu-Ugo be recognized as an independent community, as well as the unconditional release of their kinsmen from police custody, among other pleas.

‘’We have converged here to ventilate our disaffection and make known our unacceptability of the injustice, intimidation, harassment, enslavement and infringement on the fundamental human rights of our people through the instrumentality of the state as sponsored by HRM Obi IfeachukwudeOkonjo.

‘’We, therefore, seek the following reliefs; the recognition of Otulu-Ugo as an independent community, the recognition of the leadership of Otulu-Ugo as chosen by the Otulu-Ugo community, and total independence of Otulu-Ugo community from any external aggressors’’

He further requested the governor ‘’to order HRM Obi Ifechukwude Okonjo and his cohorts to stay off the affairs of Otulu-Ugo community’’ as well as the unconditional release of his kinsmen from police custody.

After hearing their complains, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon Festus Agas, pleaded with the demonstrators to exercise restraint and not take laws into their hands.

While commending them for their orderly demonstration, the governor received their documented allegations and supplications, even as he assured them of urgent intervention.

In a statement signed by the Secretary of Ogwashi-Uku Obi-in-Council, Chief Zeliwe Ojeogwu alleged that the protesters were members of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) and its affiliate Eastern Security Network (ESN).

‘’The police should intensify their efforts to apprehend all those who have committed crimes so that they have their day in court and face justice. The Delta State Police Command should not permit Otulu to remain a hiding place for criminals who use it as a staging ground for their activities throughout Delta North Senatorial District.

“As far as we are concerned, this issue has been settled. The gang members from the Eastern Security Network and IPOB who Francis Odiakose (aka) Francis Oduwanor and Christopher Oduwanor are using to terrorize the entire area should be brought to book by the Delta State Police command” he declared.

He recalled that the Delta State government had made it clear in writing in April 2022 that Otulu is part of Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom and is under our Obi of Ogwashi-Uku HRM Obi Ifechukwude Aninshi Okonjo II.

He further urged youths who have been provoked not to take laws into their hands as they charged the State Police command not to allow Otulu to remain a hiding place for criminals who use it as a staging ground for their activities.

The PDP!

They missed a golden opportunity.

If they had unanimously accepted Obi's candidature, the election would have been over by now.

But they preferred dollars to a good and competent man.

They compelled Peter Obi to resign from the party.

Okwute has pitched his tent with another party.

But the PDP is now behaving like a jilted lover.

They have seen the electoral value of Peter Obi.

They want him back by all means.

The rejected stone has become the chief cornerstone.

The contagion of support that Peter Obi commands, is giving them sleepless nights.

They are doing everything to have him back.

But I think it's too late.

The PDP missed a golden opportunity, offered to them on a platter.

With Buhari's unimaginable and unprecedented underperformance, the APC's cluelessness, and the economic downturn of the country, the PDP could have moved back to power with ease.

But they preferred dollars to common sense.

Nigerians begged, implored, pleaded, and at length, importuned.

All were unavailing.

Now that Peter Obi has not just become a candidate but a movement, the PDP wants to reap where they did not sow.

Imagine Peter Obi as the flag bearer of PDP!

The election would have been won before it even starts.

But the PDP threw caution to the wind and settled for dollars.

They thought if Obi leaves the party, he would bury his ambition, await Atiku to win, and feature him as VP.

They were gravely mistaken.

Obi joined a very small, insignificant, and unknown party, and the Labour Party has become a force to reckon with in the forthcoming election.

Obi's detractors said he doesn't have structure.

But as he has often said, the people are his structure.

In his acceptance speech after he received the certificate of return yesterday, Obi said that 100 million Nigerians who do not know where their next meal will come from, are his structure. 35 million youths who do not know what the future holds for them, will be his structure.

I like Peter Obi.

He is not desperate to be president, but he is desperate to see Nigeria work.

We his supporters are also not desperate. We want to see a better Nigeria.

But even if in the end Obi doesn't win, we will beat our chest and take consolation in the fact that we fought for a better country.

Vote wisely.

Vote vision.

Vote competence.

Vote Peter Obi.

And you will be glad you did.

Don’t Be Deceived, Peter Obi is the right man to save Nigeria now, If You Ask Him Who He Is, He Will Say ‘I am a trader’ —Okonjo Iweala

A couple of hours ago, excerpts from the extempore speech by the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala during the “End Tenure Report” by the former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Peter Obi, surfaced online. As it seems, Okonjo Iweala outlined the many characteristics of Peter Obi in a talk, which she entitled “He came, he saw, he conquered”.

According to Codewit Publications Nigeria, Okonjo Iweala described the former governor as the best thing that happened to Anambra State. She said that even Aliko Dangote had agreed that Anambra State was not an easy state to govern, but Peter Obi offered them exhilarating leadership.

While listing personal characteristics which make Peter Obi the man he is, Okonjo Iweala noted his humility. In her words, she said that Peter Obi will only consider himself as a trader and not think highly of himself. She further described him as one of the most enlightened governors the country has seen.

I am proud of my brother, Gov. Peter Obi. I entitle my talk on him: ‘He came, he saw, he conquered. I want to strongly commend Obi for what he has done. Now, do not be deceived by Peter Obi. When you ask him who he is, he would say I am a trader. Maybe he is, but he is also one of the most enlightened Governors in the country today. He has a strong intellect combined with a practical grasp of real situations”.
