Please I have a very (may seem stupid) question,
I am a first time flyer, my flight has 3 stops, Germany, Toronto n final destination.

Now when I land in Toronto should I go get my other luggage (aside hand luggage) while I do documentation.

Please a response to a novice will help.
Question is not stupid. As we say in Igbo- "One that asks questions doesn't get missing".

Yes you will need to pick up your luggage and check in to your final destination.

Please I noticed some people sent me emails. I didn't see them in my main inbox, so they are probably in my junk folder. Will check them out once I get off work. Apologies for the delayed response.

Thank you all in anticipation.

He sent them the same day I left for Canada, I received them about 5 days later. You will be called when your items arrive. if you send me an email I will forward his contact.

You may need to hold on to this. Find out if your daughter can have the immunization before you move. Else, there maybe free immunization for kids. The 3 months insurance maybe a waste of money. Also, insurance brokers know how to upsell. You might want 3 months before you know you have done 1 year because they will hook you on tantalizing offers. Furthermore, you need to know what kind of health coverage you want, plus 3 months is not so far. If you fall ill, seeing a doctor won’t exceed $900. Don’t scream, with OHIP, seeing a doctor is free, but you buy drugs. Many drugs are not covered under OHIP
I thought like this just before coming, and 1 week after I landed, I fell seriously ill, I had to go to the ER. Every day I went in, I had to pay 60 dollars, plus pay for tests, in a week I had spent the $300 I was saving from Insurance. I also had to pay for tests. I know the next thing is.."its not my portion" well I didn't believe it was my portion either before I fell ill.. but what happened.. happened. That's when I knew the importance of insurance. I'd advise he/she does good research and confirm what is covered, anything can happen anytime, that's the catch with insurance. And its winter period, the chances of falling ill goes up. Use the website, Blue Cross has an easy straight forward website about what is covered and what isn't, u can also give them a call. just get enough information before you commit.

I believe all other things being equal, most schools give PRs or citizens admission preference.
I cant agree or disagree, my response was targeted at the mention of the grade.

As a PR holder, can I get admission for MSc program is medical microbiology related courses with second class lower division? I know it is almost impossible to get it when applying from outside Canada
Your PR will have no impact on if you get admitted or not. You'll need to do a course by course evaluation of your credentials, then apply to the school. Or contact the school and speak with someone let them advise. They may have alternative pathways if your grades are insufficient.

please oooo ooooooo i will be travelling by December,

is it better to leave my Naira in my account or do i need to change it ?

if yes, please what is the process for changing ?

Bikonu, please help this ontondo grin grin grin
I'd advise you convert and keep in a dorm account in naija. come with some cash, open account here and do transfer. Just to avoid drama with naija officials n having to declare. I did same, also printed account statement, at the entry point, when I was asked I explained I had cash and the rest in account, was about showing account statement, the lady asked me to go.

Has anyone ever booked their landing flight through IOM before, or at least asked them for their quote and considered their prices before booking privately? I know that for Australia its sometimes cheaper and they even offer extra baggage allowance.

To the best of my search abilities there's been no mention of IOM flight assistance on this thread.
I tried using them, my family friend used them. When I sent in my info to them and asked for terms of engagement, they didn't respond again. SO I booked myself.

Please, can any one recommend a good and reliable studio where i can take PR card photos in PH? My photos have been rejected twice so far and i do not want to take chances anymore as my PR card is long overdue. I am based in PH and i will appreciate if someone can recommend a studio they have used in PH and the photos were not rejected.

Thanks.
Use Studio 24 at waterlines. They did mine and we measured before I left. Got here it was accepted.

Good day people.

1. Where can I buy health insurance for family of three? Cheap and affordable options pls. We are landing next month - Google Bluecross. Its wise to do it before you land so you can get coverage immediately.

2. My daughter will need to complete her immunization in February 2019 (one year). Will I have to pay for her to get the immunization if we've not got our health card? You most likely would. Just be prepared.

3. Any advice of which medication to bring to Canada to avoid stories that touch? antibiotics you are sure you don't react to, malaria meds,

Hello Everyone.

I'm currently looking for flights, please any pointers on good search engines to get the best rates will be very appreciated.

Also is it only at the airport i can apply for my SIN number? If i arrive at 4pm will i still meet the officials processing the SIN number?

Has any one flown with Ethiopian airline? How was your trip? Did you need a transit visa for the layover in Dublin?

Good All,

Thank you all for the information provided so far.

I have a question related to job application from Naija before arriving Canada.

What phone number do i use on my CV?

I changed the address to the address of where i'll stay in Canada.

I'm worried they may decide not to contact me if they notice the Naija number.

Please any advice on how to deal with this is appreciated.

Thank you.

Thank you.
