Hmm

While the Youths are protesting against SARS. The government sees it as a distraction for us and an opportunity for the senate to confirm lopsided appointments and appoint crazy people like Lauretta.

Lets not get carried away.

Bro, I don't care what makes Nairalander happy. I'm only stating my views.

SARS should not be ended unless we have an alternate antirobbery combat force. If you've experienced bank robberies, and also experienced how they crack attempted robberies, you will appreciate the work they are doing.

Our regular police unit are not fit for the role. Cutting off of the head is not the solution to headache. I would appreciate if you can give us a practical solution to this madness we have on our hands.
Politics › Re: Arewa Youths To Buhari: Don't EndSARS, Reform SARS by ecolime(m):
I'm for ReformSARS.

We need SARS to checkmate the activities of Armed robbers, kidnappers and other criminals.

These are my views regarding the reform;

1. Government should ban them from investigating or arresting Internet fraudsters. That's the job of EFCC.

2. They should also be banned from checking peoples phones and also making indiscrimate arrests on the road. All arrests arrest must be accompanied with a video recording (The way Lasma does now). They must wear a body cam to make arrests. The person being arrested must also be allowed to record the event.

3. They should be permanently stationed at their post unless they receive distress calls.

4. Any officer caught violating these rules should be sacked and prosecuted.

If this doesn't work after the reform then we can talk of total disbandment. A crime infested nation like Nigeria can't do away with an Anti-robbery elite force.

The regular Police force is almost useless when it comes to combating criminals. Without SARS, bank robberies, highway robberies etc will go totally unchecked. I've worked with these guys on cash movement in the past so I know how valuable they are in this regards.

We should be careful what with what we ask for ooo

As for the so called Arewa Youths.. Everyone knows most of them are tribal bigot. They see every issue in Nigeria based on their myopic North versus South divide lens. So their stand isn't surprising.

Nigeria is not a great Nation.

There are more people going into extreme poverty than people being lifted out of extreme poverty.

Nigeria is not good for business.
Everyone knows it's a terrible place to do business. Ease of doing business is zero. Average living condition is also poor.

However, our perspectives and realities are different. It being a great nation is my reality. It is my wish and desire that the entire populace are lifted out of this mess we find ourselves. This is why I will keep pushing in my own little way to make it better and protest where necessary.

So calling Nigeria a great nation as against a failed nation is not out of place. It will surely get better.

Hungry? I can have your entire family on my payroll.

I am a Nigerian living in Nigeria. I make my wealth from this great nation and I am proud of it.

Go and do something meaningful with your life and leave Trump and Nairaland out of your madness. Start by getting yourself a job. Stop bitching around.

Good morning, I am not a parent yet but I know some of my friends who shunned school for their kids until next year, especially since the nursery/KG aren't even allowed to resume yet.

Don't stress yourself, start saving towards January while you let them continue to study the way they were studying before this resumption. May God bless your family. If you borrow to pay this, another will be due in January anyways.

He was the mouth piece of APC when they were in opposition. Everything he spoke against then is what he vehemently defend now under this government.

He ought to resign if he has any form of decency. No standard, no shame. I hate seeing his face on Social media. He is hypocrisy personified.

Who cares?

We've been doing the same thing for six decades with no tangible progress. This present arrangement is not working.

I don't want total disintegration because our population is a strength and a big advantage. Lets try the much touted regional form of government. Each region should develop at its pace. It will spur healthy competition and positive growth amongst the Federating units.

Confirmedzombie:
I call for a Total lockdown of 8 weeks effective from october 2nd 2020.

This is the only way we can defeat this deadly virus.

All schools, markets, banks must remain shut.

Nigerians are too stuborn and only a force using the military will make this 8weeks total lockdown to be successful.

I urge every Nigerians to commence plans to stock their homes now.

All borders should be closed till further notice.

America, china, Germany, Italy, Spain are still on Total lockdown.

Nigeria must do same now.

We shall overcome
No wonder you called yourself a Zombie
