The Nigerian Air Force invites applications for Direct Short Services Commission (DSSC 22) 2013 Enlistment programme for graduates and post-graduate applicants.

Job Title: Direct Short Services Commission (DSSC 22) 2013

Location: Nation Wide

Qualification:
Interested applicants must possess a minimum of second class lower grade for first degree holders and lower credit for HND holders.
Male applicants must not be less than 1.68 metres tall while Female applicants must not be less than 1.65 metres tall.
Applicants should be between 22 and 30 years of age by 31st December 2013 for both serving personnel and civilians. Copied: www.

Online Registration starts on: 15th July, 2013
Closes on: 30th August, 2013.

How to Apply
1.) Interested candidates are advised to apply online at: www.careers.nigerianairforce.gov.ng

2.) Applicants are to complete application forms online and make payments at the following designated banks:
United Bank for Africa,
Sterling Bank,
Fidelity Bank
Union Bank.
Diamond Bank
Mainstreet Bank
3.) Applicants should print out the following underlisted documents after payment of application fee at the designated banks:
a.  Local governmental attestation form
b.  Parents / guardian consent form
c.  Acknowledgement form

4.) Applicants are to note that application submitted online without payment of application fee at the above mentioned banks will not be validated for processing.

110 police officers promoted
The Police Service Commission (PSC) yesterday promoted 110 officers including an AIG, 13 commissioners and 22 deputy commissioners. PSC’s chief information officer, Ferdinand U. Ekpe said in a statement that the promotions were conducted during the 35th plenary meeting on April 3.
“The commission considered the Inspector-General of Police recommendations for the promotion of some superior officers. All the promotions are with effect from April 3, 2013, except for the assistant inspector general which is with effect from July 31, 2013. Also two of the commissioners are in acting capacity,” he said.
A total of nine chief superintendents were promoted to assistant commissioners, 10 superintendents to chief superintendents, 16 deputy superintendents to superintendents, 52 assistant superintendents to deputy superintendents and seven inspectors to assistant superintendents. The names of the beneficiaries were not disclosed. Also, the commission considered “various disciplinary cases pending against some serving superior officers and awarded penalties or exculpation where necessary. Approval was also given for the dismissal of one assistant commissioner, one chief superintendent, one superintendent, one deputy superintendent and an assistant superintendent for acts unexpected of senior officers.”
