President Muhammadu Buhari has welcomed Nigerians into the year 2019. Buhari stated that the year 2019 will be significant for the country.

Dear compatriots,It is my utmost pleasure to rejoice with all Nigerians as we enter the year 2019, which will be a very significant one for our country.

2. At the turn of every year, we often use the opportunity to look back at the past and forward to the future. To review the outgoing year, its high and low points, successes and failures, and be fully thankful to God.

3. We Nigerians are a religious people, and we believe that God reigns and rules in the affairs of men. A time like this offers precious opportunity for thanksgiving, stock taking and reflection on goals and targets set for the receding year, and how much was accomplished. The ones not done can then be rolled over into a new year.

4. The dawn of a New Year is also a time to look forward. To consider new prospects, unfold our plans, and prepare for landmark dates and events.

5. 2019 will be an election year for us. In about two months, the polls are due, and we will elect leaders into various offices, at national and state levels.

6. As I welcome you into 2019, I also reiterate my many promises and declarations that the general elections will be free, fair and credible.

7. Elections need not be do or die affair, and we should not approach that eventuality in a democracy with trepidation and mortal fear. Happily, a large number of presidential candidates have committed to peace, and peace we shall have.

8. Those who continue to trumpet falsehood and negativity are on their own, fighting a losing battle. The greater number of Nigerians are trusting and believing that we shall deliver on our promises for a level playing field at the polls, and that is what we shall do.

9. Nigerians desire peace, security, prosperity, inclusiveness and infrastructural development, a nation they can be proud of, a country that can hold its own among the nations.

10. That is the journey we have embarked on since we came onboard in 2015, and we are not distracted as we move on. We are resolved to build a country in which the resources are utilized for the benefit of the largest number, and not appropriated by a privileged few in their never ending quest to satisfy their greed. We are on this mission together, and I assure you of a firm commitment to the ideals of a safe, secure, fair, just and prosperous country.

11. We have had our challenges: security, economic, political, social. But we are resolved to combat and overcome them all.

12. I appreciate your support and collaboration in previous years, and look forward to same in 2019, and beyond, as I hope you will renew the mandate you overwhelmingly gave us in 2015, for another term.

13. We are motivated by nothing other than service to motherland, and service without selfishness or personal interest.

14. I can assure you all that we are making steady and sustainable progress in all areas of national life. Those who are unbiased can see and appreciate the progress the country has made since 2015.14. A New Year provides opportunity for renewal of commitment, and I invite you to rededicate yourselves to the vision of a Nigeria that works for all.

15. We are moving from potentials to actualization, and it’s a task to be accomplished by us all; man, woman, young, old, military, civilian, all Nigerians. Please come along, as we journey to the land of our dreams. Happy 2019.

It's a pity that many Nigerians can no longer reason having been blinded or delusioned with ethno religious sentiment and hatred. While they spend fortune on data to upload or download rubbish, selfies, posting and sharing unverified posts, less attention is given to research. I have read many comments on PMB recently acquired WAEC certificate and I can only conclude that many are actually educated but illiterate, walloping in their high level of ignorance while wailing in the ocean of bitterness and hatred thereby alluding it to hunger and poverty in the land. You may need to ask the following salient questions concerning the certification after which your eyes of understanding may be opened with the answers provided below, thereby making you to discuss intelligently with wisdom irrespective of your political lineage or belief 1. Is it possible to get another certificate to replace the lost one? Answer :No
2. How come that WAEC presented another certificate to PMB?
Answer: WAEC never presented another certificate to PMB but Attestation based on request.
3. What is the difference between attestation and certificate or Why Attestation instead of certificate?
Answer: Attestation is a validity of any result upon which a certificate can be issued or has been issued.
4. What happened to PMB original WAEC result?
Answer : Ask the Army headquarter ( IBB)
5. Why should WAEC issue him with attestation? Is it because he is the president?
Answer : WAEC can issue anyone with attestation irrespective of the person background upon request by the individual and backed up with a police report and court affidavit.
6. How come the certificate looked new with recently taken passport photograph as displayed on the PMB WAEC CERTIFICATE?
Answer : What was issued is not certificate but attestation which normally comes with an embossed recently taken passport photograph in accordance with the WAEC rules and regulations that guide the conduct of their examination and issuance of attestation which is most often referred to as CONFIRMATION OF RESULTS.
I believe that with this enlightment, many will stop making mockery of their ignorance.

Following the report made early about Mr President Buhari not having an O level result and also yesterday, President Buhari Showcasing his WAEC Certificate with his bald head.

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has finally explained the reason why President is using his recent Passport in his WAEC Certificate of the WAEC examination he did in the year 1961.

In preparation for the 2019 General Presidential Election, it was relevant that the President produced his WAEC Certificate which is one of the minimum requirements to contest for office (President Muhammadu Buhari swore an affidavit in place of the WAEC certificate in the contest for 2015 Presidential Election).

Furthermore, the news was alarming that some Nigerians suspected foul play in the proceedings as they wanted to know why the President’s current passport photograph was used in the certificate for an exam which was allegedly written in 1961.

Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari (Femi Adesina) on media and publicity said it is impossible To Pay N30,000 As Minimum Wage for civil servants.

The Nigerian Labour Congress and the federal government has not been at rest over the demand for an increase in the minimum wage.

The proposed increase of the minimum wage from N18,000 to N24,000 by the federal government was rejected by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC)

While Femi Adesina was speaking in a live programme yesterday on Channels TV, he explained that it is impossible to fulfil Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) suggestion even if public office holders sacrifice their entire pay.

He continued by saying that it very difficult for some governors to pay N18,000 as a minimum wage, talkless of N30,000 the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) is suggesting which may cause a stalemate and it will not be good for the country. The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) should at least think about this situation before going into conclusion.

He also answers a question asked earlier by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) if the political class “especially members of the All Progressives Congress (APC)” APC agreeing to reduce their salaries can not make the new minimum wage demand fee possible, the presidential spokesman replied

“Even if they decide not to collect anything, it still doesn’t take care of N30,000 minimum wage.

The speaker made the statement while speaking during Meeting on Monday.

He concluded by saying that the law makers are working well with the Governor Akinwumi Ambode to move Lagos State to the next level

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence, NSCDC has arrested a 17-year-old girl, Ramatu Tafida, who cut off her 25-year-old boyfriend’s penis in Babura Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

AC Adamu Shehu, the corps Spokesman in the state, who confirmed the incident to newsmen in Dutse on Saturday, identified the victim as Abdullahi Sabo, a resident of Kofar Gabas and a teacher at Government Girls Secondary School Babura engaged under N-Power.

“The incident occurred on Thursday in Babura when the attention of our officers was drawn by a good Samaritan who informed them that some youths were about to lynch a girl in Kofar Arewa, the residence of the suspect, to revenge for their friend,” said Shehu.

“Immediately the officers swung into action and went to the scene and whisked the girl away to the office for safety, but they still followed her.

“It was upon reaching the office that we realised what led to the whole matter.

“Ramlatu confessed to having used a knife to cut off the manhood of her husband-to-be. According to her, Abdullahi is the love of her life and he was even introduced to her family members and has equally given the sum of N30,000 as an introduction fee.

“And because of that, she was free to be with him almost all the time. As a result, they became too intimate that they engaged in a sexual affair. However, Miss Ramlatu later learnt that the victim has planned to dump her for another girl since he has already known her as a woman. And that was what made her to plan and execute her attack,” he said.

Sheu said that the suspect further confessed that it was while they were together and about to start their usual affair that she confronted the victim with the issue and he responded in the affirmative.

“And already, she had a knife with her without his knowledge which she brought out and chopped off his manhood. After committing the offence, she ran to her parent’s house to inform her mother. And it was while she was there that the youths stormed the house.

The spokesman said that after knowing the situation, the officers rushed to the scene and took the victim to Babura General Hospital for medical attention.

The victim was later referred to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Kano.

Mr Shehu said that the suspect had already been charged to court and remanded in prison until September 6 for further hearing.
