The House of Representatives has asked the Nigerian Communications Commission and the Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy to extend the deadline for the new regulation on the registration of mobile telephone Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards to 10 weeks. In a resolution passed by the House in Abuja on Wednesday, it said the deadline should be February 28, 2021 to give subscribers adequate time to meet up the requirement. The NCC had on Tuesday set a deadline of December 16 to December 30 for subscribers to upgrade their registration with network operators by linking it to their National Identification Number (NIN). It warned that subscribers who failed to meet the requirement within the deadline would have their lines blocked. But, the House, which was presided over by the Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, observed that it would be impossible for Nigerians to meet up with the requirement within two weeks. Following a motion of urgent public importance moved by the Minority Leader of the House, Rep. Ndudi Elumelu, the lawmakers resolved that the deadline should be extended to 10 weeks to terminate on February 28, 2021. Making a case for the extension, Elumelu, a Peoples Democratic Party member from Delta State, noted that, "Millions of subscribers will be disconnected and this will lead to untold hardships for Nigerians this Christmas. "It will be almost impossible for Nigerians, over 200million of them, and the majority for having no NIN, to register for NIN with the National Identity Management Commission, and again submit the NIN to network operators, all within two weeks. "While we are not against the registration requirement, we are saying that NCC should extend the two weeks deadline." However, it was the Deputy Minority Leader, Rep. Toby Okechukwu, who amended the motion to indicate an extension of 10 weeks before the House passed it by a unanimous vote. Protesters demanding an end to police brutality have blocked the two entrances of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) head office in Abuja. Chanting anti-government songs and wielding different placards, the protesters have vowed to prevent activities at the nation’s apex bank on Monday. The protesters packed vehicles in front of the main gate of the CBN headquarters, blocking movement in and out of the premises and from connecting roads. While hundreds of the protesters are in front of the building, some of them are also camped on the road by the rear exit of the building. They said they would make sure no business activity is carried out on Monday as they vowed to prevent workers at the apex bank from gaining access to the building. As of 9:30pm, music was blaring from loudspeakers at the premises while some of them vowed to spend the night there. Security operatives guarding the building are on standby in case of any break out of violence. Source: https://ekohotblog.com/2020/10/19/endsars-protesters-block-cbn-head-office-in-abuja/

This is a tricky question, because? Education will get you a job, which will earn you money. However, money brings you the necessities of life: water, food and shelter. From the view of Education: Education's more important than money When we are young, we don't weed to worry about money because our parents buys everything for us.Then, as we get older, if we have basic education (basic knowledge) we can get a well paying job and earn money to support our family, pay bills/debts etc. From the view of money: Money is more important than Education In my experience, 80% of those who are educated and those who are still in school or college and university, they are just going to school, because they just want to get the better pay. To be honest, most of educated people are just looking for the comfort zone. And they don’t know how to think outside of the box. Except earning money or employing.. I mean they don’t know how to make money, but they only know how to earn money and they are proud for it silly. It’s was sad. Education make employees and money make employers.Anyways drop your view on this topic, Money Better Than Education (Support or Oppose)

A Chieftain of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, Olusegun Bamgbose, has described President Muhammadu Buhari’s declaration of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty as pure fallacy, unrealistic and tantamount to giving false hope to the people. Recall that Buhari, in his recent address, at the retreat for Ministers, Permanent Secretaries and other top government officials, informed Nigerians of his administration’s readiness to lift 100 million citizens out of poverty in the next 10 years. “This is pure fallacy. It’s basically unrealistic. It’s tantamount to giving Nigerians false hope,” the senior lawyer said in a chat with DAILY POST on Friday. “One of his Ministers once told us that about 90 million Nigerians are living in poverty, how come the President tells us now that he will lift 100 million Nigerians out of poverty? “How did he get the additional 10 million Nigerians?” He wondered. Bamgbose said that this was an indication that the statement lacked merit but was just politically motivated to deceive innocent Nigerians and give them false hope of a better future, when there is absolutely no concrete plan to achieve it. He wondered how many Nigerians the administration can boast of lifting out of poverty in the last five years, while cautioning the President to desist from giving Nigerians false hope. "Nigerians can’t be fooled any longer. In the same retreat, the President urged his Ministers to blow their trumpets, that they have achieved much,” he added. “This is laughable, because there is no trumpet to blow, except that of hardship, poverty and sufferings. Poor masses are in pains as a result of the hike in electricity tariffs and fuel pump price. “Poverty is on the increase. Unemployment is yet to be decisively tackled, insecurity everywhere. Which trumpet will the Ministers blow? Source: https://dailypost.ng/2020/09/11/you-cant-lift-anyone-out-of-poverty-stop-false-hope-nnpp-chieftain-bamgbose-attacks-buhari/

Diezani Alison-Madueke, a former petroleum minister, has been appointed as a commissioner for trade and investment for the Commonwealth of Dominica by the country's prime minister, Roosevelt Skerrit. The appointment does not, however, attract a remunerative package, according to the prime minister's letter. This was after she was given Dominica's citizenship, The Nation reports, citing a May 29, 2015 approval letter by the prime minister. According to Legit.ng, Diezani was issued a diplomatic passport by the Dominican government on May 21, 2015. Recall that Diezani is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection with an alleged N23.29 billion poll bribery scam. The anti-graft agency also wants the ex-minister to account for N47.2 billion; $487.5million; N23,446,300,000 and $5milion (about N1.5billion) in various Nigerian banks. She is also expected to account for alleged spending of $6.9 million to buy three 40-feet mobile stages for use during mass public speaking events. However, the alleged acquisition of Dominica's citizenship and the diplomatic passport has reportedly caused a huge setback for the EFCC's chances of getting her extradited to Nigeria to face charges. According to The Nation, Diezani's case, including the extradition process, is getting complicated after her laying claim to citizenship of the Commonwealth of Dominica. The newspaper reports that a top source, who spoke in confidence, said the former minister is taking full advantage of the system in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Dominica where she is a citizen.Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the acting chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, urged Nigerians in the diaspora to pressure the UK government to release Diezani for trial in Nigeria. Magu during a virtual town hall meeting with Nigerians in the diaspora, on Saturday, May 24, urged them to collaborate with the EFCC and pressure the authorities into bringing Diezani to face trial. A spokesperson for the EFCC, Dele Oyewale, disclosed that the acting chairman said Diezani had not been brought to trial for the allegations of corruption against her in Nigeria. He asked Nigerians in the diaspora to assist in the fight against corruption, by exposing foreign assets of Nigerian politicians through the government’s whistleblowing policy. ODJ123:Yea of course you are right... Like when you say when people start looking down on you. Do you know that some people can still look down on you when you go to school, graduate and still not get a job?? Sometimes, after graduating we go for jobs that are not even related to the course we read in school. Today hardly will you even see a good job to do. I am just scared of wasteing my time and money instead, investing for the future right now. |

With the increased costs of going to the university, i am just wondering whether it is worth it any more. Stories about graduates struggling to find employment and with more and more alternative routes being developed, is it still worth getting a degree? Is it true that there are so many graduates these days that employers are now looking for work experience? Nowadays, it is the people that didn't not go through the university that are employing graduates. #FACT Graduates are no more getting jobs like before when university was university, after spending so much time, spending money just to learn, you later come back to square one in becoming a business owner. #FACT Most people are getting jobs on what they didn't even read in school just to earn a living. Nowadays work that human beings are supposed to do, it being done by robots.. I am thinking of collecting my five years tution fees and also school hostel rent fee and course materials money from my parent to start up a business. Is going to the university worth it anymore? |
The Professor’s death is the top Money Heist fan theory right now. Scroll down to know about it! Money Heist, has rightfully earned the title for being one of the best shows in the world. It has kept us hooked right from its brilliant start with season 1, and still has all our attention post-season 4’s release. But what does the future of the series entail? Fans have a couple of thoughts on the matter. Highlights: Things to expect from Money Heist season 5.Even as fans eagerly wait for the next season, they have have dug hints from the released episodes that the Professor might die in the next season (which ends the whole show, doesn’t it?). Money Heist fans have speculated Nairobi’s ‘red dress’ scene to be a foreshadowing of what’s to come. After she dies from the gunshot, she is shown lying on the grass in a red silk dress with a daisy in her mouth. The fellow robbers Moscow, Berlin, and Oslo, who’d died in the previous seasons, look at her with a smile on their faces. But a similar scene takes place at the beginning of season 5 too, except this time, the Professor, Denver, and Helsinki was there as well. Since they don’t reappear in the other red dress scene, it might be a big hint that they’re going to die in the next season. Also, it ends with the Professor at a gunpoint, leaving him in a difficult position as it is. Fans have pointed out that he might end up dying from a gunshot, just like his father. Pinkvilla revealed a fan theory from Reddit: [“A new theory suggests that fans of La Casa de Papel have already been informed of the Professor’s fate in the previous few seasons. A Reddit user proposes a theory that suggests that Professor’s fate might be similar to his father’s fate. A user with the handle, ‘_perry_the_plattpus’, speculates that the Heist goes downhill and several major characters die. Nairobi has already been shot dead. With the Professor also at Alicia’s mercy, there is no guarantee that he might survive either. However, the user points out that while there will be bloodshed within the bank, Professor could die as well but on the premises of the bank. Looking Into Other Money Heist Fan Theories: Since season 5 ends with a major cliffhanger, fans have left no stone unturned to come up with wild theories. Some theories are pointing at Alicia’s death instead of the Professor’s. The Daily Express reported what the fans’ thoughts on the matter are, “Despite her seemingly having the upper hand against the Professor, viewers are worried about her fate in the next series. Alicia was hated for so long and after her horrible behaviour towards the gang, it’s unlikely the Professor will want to cooperate. Could he wait for her to give birth to her baby and then leave her for dead? Fans certainly think there is a sinister twist in store for the expectant mum.” Other speculations suggest that she might even end up joining the gang instead. Since she’s lost everything including her job in the police force, she may as well decide to join the robbers instead of going to prison. Especially if she wants to take revenge on them. But another wild theory doing the rounds on the internet is that, can Alicia be Tatiana? According to Film Daily, “When we first meet Tatiana during Berlin, Palmero (Rodrigo de la Serna), and the Professor’s lunch meeting, it’s clear this wouldn’t be her first heist. If the Professor didn’t have such strong feelings about loose baggage, Tatiana would’ve made a perfect addition to the team. So wouldn’t it be helpful if police had a master thief on their side trying to help beat some other thieves? Just like how Alicia knows exactly what game the Professor is playing with her? It’s hard not to see the connections between the two when their wit comes into play.” This theory has already gotten the fans super excited!! For now, we can only run wild with the theories, but time will tell what’s to come. All we know for sure is that, the production of Money Heist season 5 is delayed indefinitely because of the pandemic crisis. So let’s enjoy these theories until then!

YOUR BOYFRIEND IS NOT YOUR HUSBAND! A guy approached you for a relationship, and you tell him, 'I have a boyfriend', boyfriend ke. Its very wrong to tell a guy, "I have a boyfriend', when a guy asks you out. Its totally wrong! A guy met a Lady of 27 years he really admired, he asked her out and she boldly told him, 'no! Using the word "I have a boyfriend!' "Jesus! A boyfriend at 27 years? A boyfriend has no right over any girl, because he is not yet matured to have a woman, that is why he is a boy. You can only tell someone, " I am engaged or I am married. Telling a man that comes your way you have a boyfriend simply means you are still a kid playing around with a boy. You can't keep a boyfriend for the rest of your life and expect to be married. A boy must graduate to a youth, then to a man. A boy is someone that keeps a girl for fun, a fiancé is someone that want to marry her, and a man is that person that finally pay her dowry. Having a boyfriend that sex you doesn't mean you are in a serious relationship or you have a man that will marry you: it simply means, 'I have a boy that I have fun with' You can have as many boyfriends at a time, but you can only have one fiancé and one husband. Don't tie down your destiny with a boy. Don't tie down your destiny because of ignorance. Having a boyfriend is just like having a normal friend. Having an intimate boyfriend is like having a sexual partner, that marriage isn't yet involved. It is not being in a relationship. Anybody is free to toast you. Having sex with a boy doesn't mean you guys are committed to each other. You can be in a sexual relationship and thinks or feels you are in a committed relationship. Committed relationship starts the moment you both had graduated from that childish fantasy, from that childish fallacy and that is when he finally proposed to you and meet your parents. Stop being ignorant! Stop living in ignorance. You can reject your husband because of a boyfriend. Don't ever be proud just because you have a boy that sleeps with you. Anybody can be a boyfriend or girlfriend, but not everyone can be a husband or wife. You have a boyfriend, and so what?
