First off, you Ibos MUST watch the way you misuse or bastardize the standard Yoruba language which is NOT your indigenous language. NOW, the word "Agbero" in Yoruba language is NOT a negative word. Etymologically, it simply means "passenger carrier" ["Awon ti o n gbe ero" contracted to Agbero]. Many Agberos are NOT violent, are responsible family people and double as drivers in the transport unions in Nigeria who are ALSO dues paying members of the Nigerian Labor Congress (or NLC). Even medical doctors and other professional people fight during meetings (like what happened at an NMA meeting in Enugu which was posted here on NL with graphic pictures showing how the doctors violently broke chairs and blood flowed from the broken heads of the Enugu-based medical doctors. Will you then refer to ALL doctors as semi-illiterates and touts simply because some Nigerian Medical Association members embarrassingly fought one another?

Second, it’s the same with the NEUTRAL term "Omo Onile" meaning the "son or child of the land owner" which is not a negative term. Everybody whose father or mother is a legitimate titled land owner is simply an "Omo Onile" with ILE simply meaning LAND.

Conversely, the term "Ajagungbale" is the correct Yoruba word for so-called land grabbers. Ajagungbale in English simply means those who "fight wars to grab land."

So, the correct term used by Yoruba for "land grabbers who forcibly take lands that have NOT been properly negotiated is" Ajagungbale" NOT "Omo Onile."
