Liking this synergy between Nacho and Vardy. I wonder if signing Edouard as a Vardy replacement is a good idea. |

JohnBullMySon: That Osimhen and Iheanacho need Ighalo to learn from. As if they are not better than him currently.
What does Iheanacho need to learn from Ighalo please? They are both age mates in the national team.
My own is that if Rohr goes ahead with this stupid plan. NFF should go and borrow the money that Super League is not using. Then package both Rohr and his remaining salary on the next flight to Germany. Oh wow. It shouldn't be surprising tbh. We know he has a soft spot for Ighalo. I can understand having him as an experienced squad option but I wouldn't disrupt Osimhen and Nacho's progress to bring the guy back. I just hope Ighalo doesn't force himself to come back because of Rohr. If his mind is telling him to retire - make him no doubt am. |

jihday: I insist pre 2000 Okocha had little end product, I remember France 98 he was our most lively player through out the tournament but his shots were always wayward, his passes were good but hardly defence splitting had to go check his statistics now and he had just 2 goals by Jan 2000. But funny enough he was scoring almost a goal every two games at Fenerbache. |

charlesemeka85: Villarreal's Nigeria international winger Samuel Chukwueze is being linked with a summer move to the English Premier League.
The Diamond Academy product has picked up form in recent weeks, starring as Villarreal beat Dinamo Zagreb in the quarterfinals of the Europa League and netted his first career brace in the penultimate round of matches in La Liga.
According to Spanish transfer market website Fichajes, Everton, Arsenal and West Ham United are interested in the services of Chukwueze in the summer but face competition from Atlético de Madrid, who have been monitoring him for a long time.
The stumbling block to a deal is that the Nigerian has a release clause of 100 million euros, which has to be triggered by an interested club before he can shred his agreement with the Yellow Submarine.
The coronavirus crisis has reduced the spending power of clubs so it remains to be seen if that clause will be activated.
This season, Chukwueze has directly participated in 11 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions.
He was heavily courted by Arsenal before switching to Villarreal in the summer of 2017. Arsenal don't need Samu anymore. Saka and Pepe are at RW. |

TheSuperNerd: Very true. Boris also gave the Anti-ESL stand great weight.
We all know how much of a financial Scavenger UEFA is. They were only protecting heir financial interests and status. The Big Clubs needed to force their hands somehow and used the ESL as a weapon and they have succeeded in doing so. No more ESL but a new UCL awaits with bigger pay days for clubs specially the Big clubs.
We watch shaa.
On a flip note, I wonder what you guys at Arsenal would have done with 3.5 billion Euros. Wondering what players you would have bought too as money wouldn't be a problem again if the ESL stood. Kroenke would've pocketed it and signed one big player to keep the fans happy. The good thing about this drama is that dude will most likely sell the club if a good offer comes in. |

TheSuperNerd: Yes. Already seen this today. I knew it would come to this. The UCL reforms Uefa kept talking about was always gonna favour the big clubs and raise the money stakes. The ESL breakaway and uproar definitely forced UEFA's hands a good bit.
The only difference now is instead of a breakaway, the UCL becomes a kind of mini-ESL from 2024/2045 season with UEFA still in the centre of things making their gains unlike how they would have lost out entirely to the ESL. Just about the money as usual.
I don't think Football fans will like this but may end up just adjusting to it. But really, it is not nice.
I understand England will now have 5 UCL slots too.
In the end, the Big Clubs are still getting a good part of what they want.
The ESL uproar was really earth-shaking. What past 48-72hrs. It was a warning shot to UEFA. If the British Government weren't against this, I don't think Kroenke and Glazer would've backed down... |

BascoVanVeli: So basically UEFA wanted part of the deal because this is still horrible for football. Let the best teams play. Exactly. But hey - you've got to give then credit for managing to get the fans and leagues on their side. They stood to lose out the most if the ESL happened. |

TheSuperNerd: Okay, so it's done. The European Super League project is suspended.
Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, Man Utd leaving the ESL after Man City took the first step from England. Italian sides following suit also. The Milan clubs have pulled out.
The ESL lived a short life yet caused more uproar than most who have lived longer. Lol... Rest in pieces.
3.5 billion out the window.... Lol Perez partially succeeded in getting UEFA to bend over for the big teams. The PR war was interesting no lie...

Roland17: WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT EMOTIONS!!!!!!
You lie bro and this proves your absolute ignorance because you are not on ground. Do you have any idea the degree of effort volunteers and the entire Chicago community is making about these shootings and deaths. You have absolutely no idea how much training and education the community through social workers/ pastors/ community leaders are putting..
You guys just read crap and focus on the wrong stuff.. Do you know how many foundations including the ones founded by very popular Chicago natives are working hard on the ground everyday?
I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I LIVED IT FOR YEARS BEFORE WORK TOOK ME AWAY FROM CHICAGO! I VOLUNTEERED MY TIME AND MANY OTHER RESOURCES LIKE MANY SOLDIERS ON GROUND ARE STILL DOING!!!
THIS STUFF IS BIGGER THAN YOU AND WHAT YOU READ SO DONT TELL ME CRAP ABOUT EMOTIONS!!! Don't mind the useless stinky pussy lover Cornpenis. The fake pro black hotep only brings up "chicago" when it comes to gun laws that would stop psychos like him from committing mass shootings. Yes anyone with half a brain would want BLM to use their large platform to focus on other issues in the black community and also promote other advocacy groups, but ask Cornpenis and his useless goons to name ONE black anti violence group that has been pushed on right wing media that we haven't seen on the left? Is it MASK? Is it My Block My Hood My City? What exactly?? The disgusting stinky pussy loving mofo is against anything that would reduce the probability of psychopaths like him gaining access to assault weapons. He pretends to be "pro black" by saying he doesn't care about mass shootings because the victims are mostly white...all to satisfy his mass murdering fetish. People like this bastard are very dangerous to the black community. Wanting sensible gun laws = being a socialist according to his disgusting stinky pussy perverted mind. |

Moniter0: So na so people de labor so hard to sell Etebo. But for me, what I know is that both Ndidi and Aribo will keep on soaring higher and no weapon of slander and rubbish accusations shall prosper against them. Etebo is a good player but he is inconsistent. Anyone who doesn't think he had a better WC and AFCON than Ndidi must have been watching the back of their TV. I guess some of you guys have forgotten Etebo made the WC team of the week one time. Dude had some of the best numbers amongst our players. Ndidi and Aribo are rightly starting ahead of him but let's not change facts. Etebo has been great for us in 2 tournaments. Oh and people need to stop writing Aribo off. I don't think he struggles with the "African game" like some of you say - dude simply struggles when playing in certain pitches and that is understandable. He will eventually adapt with due time.

chucs: When individuals looses one ability, it is reasonable for them to develop other areas/ abilities. Perhaps they worked on their jumping power. Some people are tall but do not have jumping power.
That being said, it is about time African teams maximize their abilities to their advantage, ie the physical strength and inculcate it into the modern day football. Most African teams are just very passive and rely only on their strength without making any effort to develop other aspects of football.
When you watch local football, u see lots of players running like headless chicken without any sort of technicality. We have a long way to go before we can complete favourably with the rest of the world. Modern football IS centered around physical qualities these days. Pace, Power and supreme fitness is what clubs mostly focus on before technical ability. African teams are behind tactically more than anything else. |

JohnBullMySon: Actually, I think Iheanacho, Osimhen and Onuachu can be on the pitch at a time with a 442 formation. Osimhen can go to the wing, at 7. Onuachu is strong in the box and would remain at 9, while Iheanacho will be the attacking midfielder. Iwobi and chukwueze, 11 and 8 respectively. Ndidi as the defensive midfielder.
But I do not support them being on the pitch for a whole game. A 4-2-3-1 maybe with Osimhen on the left, Nacho in the hole and Onuachu upfront. Not a good idea if the pivot would be Ndidi-Etebo. Lacks creativity and balance. |

12large1: People don't know that you can have 3 strikers on the pitch as long as they're all in form and are sharp shooters. Remember Uruguay Golden generation? They had Suarez. Cavani and Forlan on tbe pitch at the same time and they were efficient and successful. The key is those strikers Work ethic/Understanding and finishing. If our wingers keep being out of form, I won't be against a 3 man strike force All 3 of them were mobile and versatile. Cavani and Suarez could easily play as wide forwards occasionally. Simy can't play as a wide forward. Neither can Onuachu. You need to look at player attributes when having this debate about our striking options. |
