JackBizzle: I did not even read past the first line in this your nonsense rambling conspiracy
Yo stop quoting his posts. You're giving him the attention he's BEGGING for. Imagine a dude who goes on people profiles and attacks them because he got banned...going around crying about "leftists", "censorship" etc...who does that?? The comedian can keep deceiving himself that people are ignoring him because they are "afraid" of him or he's getting "silenced" or whatever - just ignore it. The fact he thinks Ibime is a "leftist" shows you just how moronic he is.
JackBizzle: DEAR CONSERVATIVES LIKE ONO, BASILICO AND DAPCITY-
WIND TURBINES ARE NOT TO BLAME FOR THE TEXAS ELECTRICITY OUTTAGES. RENEWABLE ENERGY ONLY COUNTS FOR 23 PERCENT OF ALL POWER IN TEXAS.
WHEN TEXAS HAD AN EARLIER FREEZE AND POWER OUTAGE IN 2011, THEY DID NOT TAKE ADEQUATE MEASURES.
----‐---‐------
Texas power output;[27] moreover, equipment for other energy sources such as natural gas pipelines freezing were more responsible.[26] Viral images of a helicopter de-icing a Texas wind turbine were actually an image from Sweden taken in 2015.[27] Governor Abbott later acknowledged that every source of power, not just renewable ones, had failed.[26] Five times more natural gas than wind power had been lost.[28] When power was cut, it disabled some compressors that push gas through pipelines, knocking out further gas plants due to lack of supply.[29]
During the 2011 Groundhog Day blizzard, Texas had faced similar power outages due to frozen power equipment, after which the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission reported that more winterizing of power infrastructure was necessary.[25] ERCOT said that some generators since then implemented new winter "best practices," but these were on a voluntary basis and mandatory regulation had not been established.[25]
Lool you have time to be wasting on some of these Breitbart/Alex Jones folks.
ono: And Reed, I've read a couple of your comments in here. I'm confused. You're kind of like a 2-faced person, what they call "center-left" or "center-right". Lukewarm, in-between. Good luck o o o!!
Is being center left/right a crime?? You MAGAts are something else sometimes...
Ibeme: I don't believe in playing politics with power outage issue in Texas. It turns politics into a childish affair.
Texas has no reason to prepare their wind turbines for a deep freeze. It's a force majeure scenario.
Dems blaming Texas Reps for not coating their windmills for deep freeze should get ready to be blamed on the next natural disaster.
Cruz and the rest did it with California. Their disgusting double standards should rightly be called out instead of them trying to blame renewables as the main cause of the black out.
Goodvibes007: T. Cruz (R- Cancun) is just an idiot with no leadership skills.
As per the crisis in Texas, all the blame belongs to the Texas GOP. They refused to winterize their infrastructure. Heating and electricity bills went through the roof too, due to the fact that the useless GOP running the state has dodged federal regulation for years. Bunch of nincompoops.
Wind turbines are used extensively in Canada and Alaska. Bills in Minnesota are around 300 for both gas and electricity despite the fact that these regions are much colder than Texas.
They won't tell you this. Instead they're trying to use this to fuel their agenda against renewables...
ono: And that’s another key point. “Places” point A may have a very high wind power potential than point B. So, you don’t expect the two points to churn out the same power generation rates.
The Ercot story up there doesn’t hold water. Texas is generally not so pummeled with snow like we are experiencing now in winter in recent years. Will you blame anyone for not investing in making their plants ready for “winter in Texas”? Have you any idea what it will takes to do that - capital wise, in the face of dwindling fortunes in the business ?
You are contradicting yourself now. You guys have claimed this situation proves that renewable energy can't work and we're debunking it by showing windmills does work in places colder than it was in Texas. Going by your logic - how long has Texas been using renewable energy and how long has there been a power outage like this as a result of power failure of plants fueled by renewable energy?
ono: Alright. Tell me about these other places - starting with names. So, coal, natural gas, heavy oil and light oil, although sources of power generation, they all have their merits and demerits. And as we all have now seen, even renewables (wind and solar) and nuclear also have theirs too. This takes me back to my earlier submission on the subject:
The only way out is a mixture of these power sources for mankind's use. Any attempt to rely solely on one and downplay the rest comes with its catastrophic consequences.
I expected dim witted and brain dead Xibiden to know this by now and do what's right, but I guess I expected too much from him, since he rigged his way into the White House. He's got other pressing needs to attend to, while undoing what Trump had put on the ground to make life better for Americans.
No you guys are being disingenuous in this debate. The fact of the matter is Texas simply don't have wind turbines that could handle a situation like this. Simple. It's not difficult to admit. But trying to use this as an excuse to bash renewable energy is hilarious. Go ask Alaska how their turbines work during the winter
ono: You lack what it takes to comprehend the subject - when you’re done reading the rudiments on refining, come back and share learnings. Then, we can have a meaningful conversation.
For now, know that reservoir engineers are the masters of the subject. They were trained for it, know the stuff right from the source rocks, the compositions of the crudes - whether heavy, light or gaseous. They are the masters of resource classes. They are the oracles of the oil and gas industries - and everyone else that taps into the industry goes to them for help and direction.
Excuses. There are places where wind and solar energy work just fine in winter weather's. No amount of spinning will change the fact at hand.
Let’s wait for Reed and his horde of ignoramuses here to spin something new.
Did it explain how other places that use wind turbines and solar panels barely shut down during winter or nah? Did it also explain how many power plants ran by coal were also affected?? Oh and did you know a winter storm happened back in 2011 and guess what bulk of power plants were affected?? That's right - coal. AOC is doing what lame frauds like Cruz wouldn't do for any other state much less his own
Kophschmerzen: Joe Manchin need to man and join the R's. The loser is blocking the D's agenda on many fronts. What a bubbling loser. Y'all mess up on the campaign promise and get annihilated at the mid terms.
TheSuperNerd: Sadiq Umar to Sevilla is happening. Reports are emerging of Sevilla's Sporting Director, Monchi, being close to wrapping up the transfer of Sadiq ahead of the Summer.
Another Naija forward/player in La Liga. Another Striker in the Top 5 leagues. The summer cannot come soon enough.
Like I always say, if Campos or Monchi is after you - then there's big talent there. Sadiq Umar has done well.
ono: I’m referring to his 2020 California power tweet. We know he’s apologised for his Cancun trip - even though it’s not within his powers to do much as a Senator. Not sure why AOC and her minions are after the guy.. .if not for cheap political gains.
ono: I think it will be nice to separate things that are within government control from those that are not.
Wildfires in California and now freezing cold in Texas are strictly speaking, not within government control - to a very large extent. Same with tornadoes and hurricanes. If we agree on that, then, clear.
Now, lets go back to what smart Ted Cruz said in one the tweets you shared.
"California is now unable to perform basic functions of civilization, like having reliable electricity" - now notice that he said this right in the thick of the summer - Aug 2020, when all that's needed to provide comfort for everyone is doable and available, unlike extreme cold, tornadoes, and hurricanes.
If California governor Newsom could not do that at the time, should someone not call him to order like Cruz did at the time? Isn't it glaring to all that the man - Newsom, was mismanaging the fortunes of the state, probably using it for irrelevant and selfish things like feeding and taking care of thousands of illegal aliens in Sanctuary cities, so they can vote for him during the elections?
I await your response.
You're being ridiculous. Ted Cruz tweeted that during a massive heatwave. Even he admits he was a hypocritical mongrel.
sanpipita: American conservatives are most stupid people on earth right now, how can a bunch of people be pathetic, everything they accuse others is what they are.
They are always first to set tone for mockery and disunity but cry when tables are turned, if Trump was president and California had this crisis, he would have used his Twitter to mock them daily.
Supposed people of God have no empathy but wickedness in them
Don't mind the comedians. They think we are kids. Always trying to act like the "reasonable ones in the room" when it's very easy to dig up their hypocrisy. Look how they are gleefully talking about Cuomo(who by the way Dems are pissed off at) yet keep quiet when Trump and his red state goons were suppressing the covid death toll too.
ono: edi287, all na cheap political score point that bear no semblance on the reality of what's playing out on the ground - all over the country. You are too smart to fall for stuff like this. Quit already!
Based on the forecasts, AOC better spend all that "stolen" money to take care of herself first (in freezing New York), before heading to Texas - in the cold. Oponu oloshi.
Akuko. I am here for the double standards. I can remember how much some of you conservatives mocked California during the wildfires. So all this talk is just that - talk. I only sympathize with those who show sympathy.
Conservatives are always "anti pc" and "say things as it is" until the shoe is on the other foot and all of a sudden they are the "snowflakes" they mock Liberals for being.
ono: So, making this a Texas thing is evil, trying to score cheap political point and utterly irrelevant to the rigging that was perpetrated by the demonRats in Nov 2020 election to bring in:
Xibiden, Quid Pro Joe!
You're a comedian. Remember when Cruz made this a "California thing"? I'M HERE FOR THE DOUBLE STANDARDS!!
JackBizzle: Lol.....so the silly conservative in the pic is claiming to give handjobs to liberal men and then use their cum to oil his gun?
Basilico and ono, come and see what your party has become
No mind them. You need to go on Parler and see how psychotic some of these guys are. They've been hiding their madness with "Judeo-Christian values" while magnifying that of the left.
That is because turbines in Texas aren't built to withstand unusually cold temperatures, as are turbines in colder climates where wind production is used. In Saskatchewan, we have had -54 c several times in February already and there are zero frozen wind turbines. Texas only went to about -10c and things are shutting down. Lol.
Texas leaders failed to heed warnings that left the state's power grid vulnerable to winter extremes. Incompetent leaders are the problem.
Annoyingly, my province is sending electrical power down to some southern states in the US because of the unusual freeze. Most of the states are those stupid red states.
Good thing I saw this before I replied him. This level of dishonesty/disingenuousness is frankly disgusting. Ask him what percentage of Texas that's being powered by Wind Turbines and he'll keep quiet.
ono: edi287, at least you are a reasonable person. We all can't be perfect bro. Let Rush be. He's done and resting now. The guy loved his country in his own special way. He crooned about it, was able to win some 30 million people as die hard fans. He was an accomplished man.
Let it rest.
Bullshit. He should've remembered that when he disrespected Jerry Garcia when he died. Limbaugh is nothing close to a hero...not even death will make him that.
