Lookman signs for Fulham on loan from RB Leipzig. It's a one year loan deal.
“After the conversations I had with Scott Parker, I got a great feeling, that's the working relationship I want to have. He’s young and hungry and I’m young and hungry as well so it’s a good match.” - @Alookman_
Welcome back to England, Lookman. Kid has disappointed me no lie. Hope he gets back to form soon as possible. |

BascoVanVeli: What do we have? Players who don't play at that position for their club thats what.
Iheanacho wasn't given the chance. They converted him from day one.
U are trying to drag the NPFL into this discussion when nobody as mentioned an NPFL player yet. The fact is we have no true AMF on the team because if we did they would play there for their club even if it was once in a while Check the post i replied to. If we're saying because we don't have an AM in the top 5 leagues and should look for one outside Europe - I'm asking who outside Europe would be a better option than we have currently?? |

BascoVanVeli: Nwobodo is a talented player. If he had gone to the U20 World cup his story would be different by now. His knee injury put off a bunch of clubs but yet here he is.
If it were up to me his first call would have come when he was with Enugu Rangers but that is not how it works. Now, if he performs like I know he will in Turkey that would be a different issue.
Sokari is a good player also, I remember getting made fun of cuz I called him pure gold. This goes to the point our brother the philosopher made. This guy has been putting league winning performances for years now but yet no move to greener pastures. The same happened to Nwobodo wasting away for years in Hungary. Iwobi won't even get a run in the position we are talking about. There is nobody allowed to play that position at a high level. Mikel turned into a dmf. Nacho into striker. So at the end the players who actually professionally play these positions are at lower levels (not exactly NPFL btw). It is actually a good idea which nobody is going to go for because we all want our name brand players Sokari is nothing special. Watched him a few times and he isn't better than we have. Haven't watched Nwobodo that much(i know Goldfish80 is a massive fan of his) but the time i did he played out wide. He's good but he wouldn't make our first 11. What other playmaker do we have at a lower level that would make our first 11?? Nacho was(is) simply not fit to play as an AM at a high level. Iwobi while he didn't play as an AM many times still functioned as a wide playmaker at Arsenal especially when Wenger was still around. 4-3-3 is the way to go now anyway so the traditional number 10 is almost becoming obsolete. Even in a 4-2-3-1, the number 10 mostly is a CM who has to be able to drop back to form a 3. Based on this, how many NPFL/non European league midfielders do we have that would start over Iwobi, Aribo, Etebo, Ejaria and Azeez?? |

Philosopher1979: ABOUT THE SUPEREAGLES
1. The best attacking midfielders we have do not play in the top 5 leagues in Europe 2. We can use players not based in Europe to win things. 3. Algeria (one of the best teams in Africa) uses players based in Saudi Arabia. Baghdad Bounedajh their top striker plays in Quatar and Algeria is better than us right now. 4. If we have problems getting attacking midfielders we can try Kingsley Sokari and Obinna Nwobodo. Getting to a top 5 or 10 team in Europe takes time for players from Africa. In fact, Obinna Nwobodo just moved to Turkey from Hungary. 5. The point is identyifyng a good player and using him. With the passage of time, the player will move to a good club 6. We are not an European country and 100% of our players do not have to be playing in Europe at the same time 7. The over reliance on European based players is funny and whimsical. 8. Players move and change and so we just make use of the best. 9. MOhammed Aboutrika never played in Europe but that does not mean he was not better than one average player in southampton or Torino
Thanks Thats my opinion 1. Iwobi plays in the epl. Out of form at the moment but he's definitely one of our best AMs whether we like it or not. 2. Our league is not strong enough to do that. 90 percent of our top players play in Europe 3. Bulk of their team play in Europe. That in addition to having a strong league makes them able to get away with that. 4. Sokari and Nwobodo are not better than the options we have. 5. Again, majority of our talents move to Europe as soon as they can. We all know this. 6. Our best players are in Europe so it makes sense for a bulk of our team to be Euro based. 7. Its not. Our best players are in Europe and will remain so for the foreseeable future unless we fix our league or Europe somehow stops being the mecca of football. 8.True and our best players are mostly based in Europe. 9. The Egyptian league is probably the best in Africa and they could afford to retain talents like Aboutrika. You and I know its impossible to do that in the NPFL. |

forgiveness: These aforementioned players are not technical players.
Please, read.
That's not necessarily the same question as 'who's the most technically gifted?'
When it comes to control, sheer skill, and the potential to mesmerise, it's easy to reel off a few names that spring to mind.
Not those who perhaps rely on other attributes, such as power, to get past their opponents, but those who have been blessed with a gloriously light touch, the ability to contort their bodies beyond recognition, and a vision to see things most players simply aren't aware of going on around them.
Since the turn of the century, as football fans we've been blessed with countless great technicians.
Extract from the 20 most technical players in the world. What exactly do you guys mean by "technical" If we're talking about "touch"(or ball control) - Giroud is the best on there(Yes Giroud's touch is crazy" If we're talking about hold up/link up play - Harry Kane is the best on there. If we're talking about being skillful - none of them are particularly that skillful but Kane pulls off skill moves when he wants to. If we're talking about vision - while Nacho might have a better final pass - Kane is all better all-round imo(anyone that wants to argue this should watch this when they have the time https://streamable.com/amp_player/xyz4m?__twitter_impression=true....I hate the guy but it is what it is) If we're talking about flair/elegance(i.e looking pleasing to the eye) - hmmm i don't rate any of them on that sha ...guess you could say Nacho takes this one. If you're talking about shooting technique - its between Kane and Nacho. So its really not straight forward. None of these are really WC technicians. One thing is for certain though - Nacho's all round game is average at best. I've been saying it and will stick to it. I didn't watch the guy during his U17 days. I'm basing it what I've seen from his displays at senior level. His greatest qualities are his clinical finishing and being able to slip that final ball once in a while. His dribbling is average. His hold up play is average. His touch is average. All this is obvious to anyone who watches him extensively and doesn't let nostalgia of his U17 performances blind them. |

sheyishemba: Mr brother environment has little or nothing to do with your technical ability we have seen many Africa players like yaya toure ,jay jay okocha ,mahrez, sallah, mane, aubmeyang, ziyech that are technically proficient players. The truth of the matter is nacho is not technically proficient how would expect a player with 0.8 sucessful dribble per game and 7.0 possesion lost per game to be technically possesion most of his possession lost are as a result of his bad first touches. Aubamayeng's technical ability is average sha(or should I say inconsistent). I get the point you're trying to make though. |

Ladan Bosso returns to lead Flying Eagles
SCORENigeria has been reliably informed that experienced coach Ladan Bosso will return to his former post as coach of the Flying Eagles almost 13 years since he led the country to the 2007 U20 World Cup.
Super Eagles stars Brown Ideye, Elderson Echeijile, Efe Ambrose and Ikechukwu Ezenwa featured at this U20 World Cup.
Bosso leads the country’s coaches association and only recently agreed to handle NPFL club Adamawa United.
He previously handled Kano Pillars, Niger Tornadoes, Wikki Tourists, Gombe United, Abia Warriors, among other clubs.
He will replace Paul Aigbogun, whose time in charge of the country’s youth team was strewn with controversies and below-par showings.
Aigbogun was the long-time favourite to keep his job, but SCORENigeria has now learnt that there was a lot of pressure to make sure he was not re-appointed.
Plateau United coach Abdu Maikaba, who assisted Aigbogun last year, was also in the running for the post.

He plays for Rosenberg....
A team that plays UCL and starts for the team too.
The goalies that got called up, plays for a lesser team in Europe as compared to what Rosenberg is.
So when you come up with a decent argument..... You can mention my moniker Who will he start over?? Sam is a good player but injuries have slowed him down and the likes of Ejuke who played in the Norwegian league too surpassed him and left for eredivise. He isn't better than any of the wingers we've called up. |

– Alex Iwobi has been told by Udeze to leave Premier League side Everton
– The Nigerian star was not listed in the first 2020/21 League game against Spurs
– Udeze stated clearly that Iwobi should look for another side as soon as possible

Alex Iwobi has been urged to leave Premier League side Everton by former Super Eagles defender Udeze who was not happy with how the 24-year-old was left out of squad against Spurs.
Everton manager Ancelotti decided not to include Alex Iwobi in his squad against Tottenham in the first game of the 2020/21 Premier League season.
This decision came as a big surprise not only for Udeze, but for many Nigerian football fans who were expecting Alex Iwobi to play against Jose Mourinho’s side.
Carlo Ancelotti however decided to use new signings James Rodriguez, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure which ended up in a 1-0 win for them against Spurs.
While speaking with Brila FM on the outcome of the encounter, Udeze explained that Alex Iwobi should find another club before the end of the transfer window.
“I think Iwobi should look for another club especially with James Rodriguez signed it will be difficult for him to play.
“Imagine against Tottenham he did not make the bench and even the squad. So for me he should start looking for another club.
“It’s painful for me but as it is I think the best thing is for him to go elsewhere,” Udeze explained.
Iwobi joined Everton last year August from Arsenal, and the Nigerian signed a five-year contract with the side.

Earlier, Bioreports had reported how Alex Iwobi seem to be living life to the fullest as a photo of the player boarding a private jet as surfaced online heading for holidays.
This came after the 2019/20 Premier League season ended and most players returned to their home country, while others headed for some of the most exotic resorts around the globe.
Parked near the private jet was a 2020 edition of the Rolls Royce phantom as Iwobi who was holding a brief bag moved to board the plane as posted by Bioreports Footballers on Instagram.
Iwobi is one of those footballers who does not like showing off his riches, but the Lifestyle website also reported that he has a property in Lagos and some luxurious cars. Iwobi needs to stay and fight for his place. He can earn a spot outwide if he wants. I think he'd do well playing alongside a playmaker like James just like he did with peak Ozil and Alexis. Can't afford to make excuses for him anymore. |

They should not feel bad with the loss but keep marching with their refreshing brand of football.
I hope people can see that a team that wants to grow fast will focus on playing in a brave fashion.
Papa Rhor, all I will say is see your mate. Can they maintain this intensity for a whole season?? Remember Bielsa likes having a small squad so I'm not too sure. If they sign the likes of Rodrigo De Paul then they might stay up. Norwich tried to play good football last season and got destroyed. |

daveP: Its worrisome o. Very.
See defenders in EPL stepping up to contest fks with superb freekick takers and they are likely to score more. Not this usual luck fk thing, but part of their technical abilities...... I dunno who needs to sound this bell o. Cos its not good atall.
I do study our opponents when SE eants to take a setpiece of freekicks, they don't really bother much. Like they know its no good. SE don't know they study our clips too ni?
I hope the new boys change this fading ability. We need it badly.
That Mikel own sef.... (hesitates) Moses Simon is a good free kick taker. I don't know why he doesn't take them for us often. |
