So I finally got the 4.5kva elepak generator. But the problem here is, it can't conveniently power the 1.5hp a.c at home. I have to switch off all the lights, virtually everything. And wen it's powered and i put on few lights the gen's circuit breaker goes off within 20 mins. And the gen would hv been unnecessarily hot including the tank.

But without the a.c being ON, the gen powers everything including the big deep freezer. It's a big house with 2 living rooms and 5bedrooms. The gen powers it all conveniently without any wahala.

So I talked to à generator engineer and he said its because the LG is an old model with a high compressor, so it requires much energy from the Gen, that if it was a new model, it will power it without hassle, cos the new model, it's compressor requires less voltage.

Pls how true is this?

Original Sumec 4.5kva is over 230K. That Elepaq is far from 4.5kva in reality. Your budget may not even get you a 3.5kva generator currently.

You know of any store in Ibadan you can recommend? One that sells either of them, top quality.

That seller is worse than the devil, how can people be so heartless and nonchalant, I kept reading the chats with utter disgust. I commend the buyer's patience. Some of us lack that attribute. If the police can help, he should involve them.

Obviously the seller knew of the dotted part, and that may have contributed to why he quickly disposed.

So sorry this came late for the price 150+170k
For the authenticity. It has to be copper coil and epepaq crested on major part of the gen set.. of they can open the coil for you scratch it with a Sharp object or something hard if it's peel off to be white or silver in colour it's aluminum, but the best bet is to go with an engineer.
One thing I have noticed is that irrespective of the genuity of a gen it all boils down to the usage and maintainance culture.
