Personally, I will not advise you to go to Teesside. The Uni isn’t that rated plus management isn’t that great. I applied there and even paid fees but had to request for a refund.

1. Reference relating to what? I did not get any ‘academic’ reference while applying to Teesside. I only used the one from my work place.

2. There are plenty jobs available. Truth is you’d need your NI and sometimes the DBS before you get a job. This may or may not take time.

3. I went for an MBA at Ulster University. It’s okay no exam essays and test.

My advice, if you have a career you are looking into. Do a masters in that line. I have heard cases of boys that went to do an advanced computer science MSc all in the name they want to japa without having the prerequisite ; good knowledge of coding.

one major issue we have as a nation is that we don’t have career counselors, this will help a lot so we no go dey waste time doing trial and error with our life.

First I want to thank God almighty, for without him this wouldn't be possible. I also want to thank the various mock interviewers, Ayomide and team, Master P and Kwame, you guys are the best.

After filling my first ds160 without knowing much, u submitted and proceeded to CGI and chose Abuja, cos everyone said Abuja gives visa more than Lagos.
But there were no dates. My first date selection was in October and my Resumption Is in August. I didn't sleep most night looking for an earlier date.

Reached out to some agents for dates, some said 200k, another 150k etc.

Then dates became available in Lagos. I decide to cancel. Then the story of Lagos rejection rate started flying ard. I became scared and worried.

But I decided to trust God.

The generator will struggle to carry a 1.5HP AC, whether inverter model or not. Best fit is a 1HP AC.

First of all, gen manufacturers are slick to rate their products in kVA. The Elepaq 4.5kVA is its maximum capacity. Its normal running capacity is 4.0kVA. Using 0.8 as a conversion factor to watts gives you 3200W.

The old models are not energy efficient and tend draw high amounts of wattage during startup. Non-inverter ACs have compressors which cycle off and on. Without load, it would work well and the compressor will cycle off once the room is cool. The problem is with the startup. It can take up to 2600W just to start the compressor and cool the room before it cycles off. What you have left will be insufficient to power the remaining appliances. Running the generator close to its maximum capacity will also put a strain on the engine.

Thanks for your input. Should I go for a 1.5hp inverter a.c, or get a 1hp non inverter (i feel the gen can power 1hp easy).

The reviews I'm getting about inverters durability is discouraging, that's why I'm considering the option of a lesser non-inverted horse power. But I'll love to hear your opinion on this.

Calculate the total power load and multiply by either 2 or 3 to make up for de-rating. The aim is to minimise running the generator at full load for long periods of time. This will reduce frequency of maintenance cost and increase the life span of the generator. Additionally, some of these generators have false ratings and low-grade alternator coils so we have no way of knowing their true wattage production.

So I finally got the 4.5kva elepak generator. But the problem here is, it can't conveniently power the 1.5hp a.c at home. I have to switch off all the lights, virtually everything. And wen it's powered and i put on few lights the gen's circuit breaker goes off within 20 mins. And the gen would hv been unnecessarily hot including the tank.

But without the a.c being ON, the gen powers everything including the big deep freezer. It's a big house with 2 living rooms and 5bedrooms. The gen powers it all conveniently without any wahala.

So I talked to à generator engineer and he said its because the LG is an old model with a high compressor, so it requires much energy from the Gen, that if it was a new model, it will power it without hassle, cos the new model, it's compressor requires less voltage.

Pls how true is this?

Don't use the gen for the AC again, you'll get the coil burnt. Your engineer was trying to tell you about inverter AC and yes the generator will power it. Your main issue is that the generator is not 4.5 KVA as claimed, its way less , say 3 - 3.5kVA.
