adzovia: i got the shock of my life when i went to pick the mail today and i saw my name on one of the envelopes. i was expecting my ssn since i was told to wait for 21 days. i opened the envelope low and behold it is my green card. people my permanent residence card came even before my ssn. i am soo happy. the battle is over i am now officially a permanent resident with proof

have you already sent the forms required after the 1st notification letter?
the forms i sent to kcc are ds-230 (with 2"*2" colored photo attached), dsp-122 and bar code sheet. i never attached any other document.
as far as i know no other documents are required at this initial stage.
by the way the question about your host in USA on form dsp 230 only requires the name, address of the person and phone number if you know the person's tel number.

Roodboy, de passport photos required are usually 2"*2" (two inch by two inch).
about your relationship i believe like the gurus hav said u need to tell the truth as u hav stated here

physical address, phone number, the person's relationship to you (how and since when did you know him/her). have all this info just incase they ask of u

If the letter pops up after entering your confirmation details in the official DV LOTTERY SITE, then you are good to go, start filling the 2 forms required
REMEMBER: this far u are not required to pay any fee, if a fee is being requested then u better run as fast as you can

I am absolutely sure, because it even gave me a letter with details that i have been selected for further processing, it has a link that gives details on how to proceed and the 2 forms required.
i am already filling the forms that i will mail to KCC.
