It is still doubtful of what he is upto but he seems a great guy.

No I was born in some town in central Kenya called kiambu

Federalism is a tricky thing.In a nation which struggles with tribalism, a federal type of government will fuel the desires of secessionists to exit.The tribalism will increase,disunity will creep in,and eventually, the new nations will emerge.Most African nations are not ready to use a federalism,Africans are still tribalists which is a very bad recipe in a federation.Americans are successful in federation because they are not stuck in those madness of tribalism.We may blame those who plants disunity among people,but if we keep on holding a style of federation, things won't be anyway better.And federalism is somehow expensive,imagine having all those small parliaments!

When a nation have done well to destroy tribalism, regionalism and other forms of racism,then a federalism will work very well,unlike a centralized system which is good sometimes but can easily be manipulated

Regional federalism is a killer in Africa. You have mentioned all the reasons why it won't work. We got a little break when corona came.

There will be an election and i don't even eant to choose any. Most political parties are named witha single ethnic. And we had hundreds of them running for election. Is this a jock?

Many couldn't even celebrate his achivements because the past govt only says bad about him. At the time if meles and Hailemariam Desalegn, the motto of the communist Mengistu Hailemariam was illegal to speak out. If you are heard saying that, you will be punished greatly.

In TZ some ecomists can't stop talking about economic successes of Ethiopia. We have heard how you are giving incentives on manufacturers who export processed leather products.That led to a lot of growth in leather industries. You have attracted a huge number of big investors in those key areas.isn't it true?

Ethiopia has many cattle.I think you are leading in Africa followed by TZ.But in TZ,a gov have been doing too little to JumpStart this huge leather industry which lies idle for ages. We should have done what you guys do.

Is Ethiopia led by federation type of gov? Because in TZ,we do Chinese style.everything is centralized. The central gov chooses anyone from anywhere,to go work anywhere, anytime. That helped to kill tribalism

We have grown economically. I wish there was a subtitled documentary made on that to explain what has been going on.


We follow regional federalism and that created more chaos. Our constitution says there is a right for a certain region to ask for sovereignty. The tigray region leader is brainwashing the people in the region. Some Oromo people say addis belongs to them. Some Amhara people say Addis belong to them. Addis Ababans say it belongs to the people living in Addis. Tigray and Amhara region fight with land. Oromo and Amhara fight by identity. Amharas run their own land. Oromos too. You open the tv, it says Addis Ababa. Oromo channels never say addis but finfinne. All the regions have their own tv channel and all of them talk all they want. They don't even come to an agreement. Some Oromos carry a new flag with red and green color to represent themselves and they hate the current flag. Some Amharas carry the current flag excluding the star and circle at center. Some oromos disagree being called habesha. They are pointing fingers every time. The chaos is very disturbing.


Only Addis Ababa is free from racism today.

I will check that unity park. But do u think Addis have been sleeping.Me thinks not. Addis have done a lot of good stuff like electric railways in a city,modern buildings are coming up,like those done by your commercial bank of Ethiopia. The developments are happening. Even on economic growth you have managed to grow on double digits.While TZ we have been stuck on 6 to 7% which is far less.And you have done all that without minerals.In manufacturing, you are leading in Africa.

Do u love those national parks of ours.Do u like seeing wild animals? I think in issue of Ethiopia, may be u can improve on tribalism. Other stuff like economic growth, TZ need to copy and paste so much from Ethiopia especially on those key industries like leather industries and textiles.

At the times of the Emperor, Addis was one of the best in Africa. But after that, improper planning was made and the buildings keep growing without context. Unkown Architecture is being practiced with poor quality of construction. In terms of road construction, i agree. Some other facilities are also introduced very well.


The propaganda behind the economic growth is complex and don't wish of what we had because there are many unhealthy developments in here. Some part of the north of Ethiopia is now led by terrible people and it feels like we are divided from now. The story behind the success is unbelievable.

I didn't know you are such good on details.Yes we have those markets which are designed to accommodate disable folks.And most of those markets are in high density areas were the ordinary folks and most of Tanzanians live.
Architecture wise,yes we try.A lot more is needed to be done.You know,east Africa is under a lot of competition. You can easily tell which city was planned properly and which one is not. Dar has made it big and Addis has been sleeping after our last emperor left. Dr. Abiy has made a big park in the capital which is named unity park and that is what we want to see in the whole Africa.


Tanzania has many parks which are very exciting to visit. Lets keep discusing and learning from one another. We Ethiopians are very dissapointing sometimes, we don't look around and see what we have to take. Taking and giving is a process required to grow together.

Although, i feel like Ethiopians living in the rural areas are far more civilized than us. They know maths and they have their own way of calculating. They don't use the number 0 but they still have it. They are super intellegent. I met few of them when i was learning at church and i felt sad.


They behave, they are humble and intellegent. Do you know dutch people (Germans) learn the education that is given in our church (in rural area)?
