Edueco, your knowledge about the Nigerian Stock Exchange market is wonderful. I wish it can be coveted, I'd gladly covet it.

I'll silently follow this thread as I learn from the masters I see here. It's interesting.
I am still a learner! Thanks for your noblest compliment.

Sir Born, well said. Trust the market marker of this stock. The stock wouldn't be on free fall like others. The worst had happened already. Just remember this word, stock like this always make a very strong U-TURN. Not a recommendation for God sake...lol

In stock market, NEVER say NEVER grin
I pray for a free fall of FCMB in order to load more.

@leo1234,Good management and +ve basic Earnings Per Share! For the now,the management of Daar Communications is grossly inefficient(just like Oando).

Please can someone interpret? What is this man saying?[/quote]Oando made -N13.44 loss for 2014 Full Year ;while at 2015 Q3,its loss is/was -N4.18! And yet,Oando's investors are hopeful of a great future;then,FCMB's investors should be more hopeful of a greater future in the short run.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by EDUECO(m):
Agbalowomeri:
FCMB is a good buy at 65 kobo. They will definitely report a loss for the year end 2015. Q3 was still conservative
What is your estimate of FCMB's loss even if there will be one? Oando made a great loss of N13.44(EPS) for 2014 Full Year, but its share price has never gotten to N2 not to talk of 65Kobo. The probability of FCMB getting to 65Kobo is very small!

FCMB Group Plc pays annual dividends on its ordinary shares. FCMB Group Plc's Board of Directors has adopted a policy that seeks to provide investors with a stable and sustainable form of capital distribution, with consideration given to the growth requirements of the business, thereby maximising long-term share value for shareholders.

Dividends Paid and Year-End Earnings Per Share (Basic) Information

YEAR DIVIDEND
as at 31 st December (Kobo) EPS (Basic)
as at 31 st December (Kobo)
December 2014 25 112
December 2013 30 81
December 2012 Share Bonus (1:25) 77
December 2011 Share Bonus (3:20) 61
December 2010 35 49
December 2009 5 3

Up until April 2009, FCMB's financial year began on May 01 each year and ran up to and included 30 April of the following year. However, as FCMB has now moved to the common December year-end for Nigerian Banks (effective 31 December 2009), FCMB's financial year now runs from January 01 each year up to and including 31 December of the same year.

YEAR DIVIDEND
as at 30 April (Kobo) EPS (Basic)
as at 30 April (Kobo)
April 2009 0 25
April 2008 50 135
April 2007 35 63
April 2006 13 36
April 2005 7.5 25
@ Krishna, For the past 10 years; FCMB has paid dividend 8 times and given bonus 2 times! Due diligence is now yours to make. For the year 2014 which ended December 31,EPS is/was 112 Kobo while 25 Kobo is/was the dividend!

Hate u for this but the emphasis on the minus was hilarious!
Bros,am sorry if I offended you(life no be Holly Wood). For the now, I can never buy Oando for 50 Kobo if it falls to this price; while I will gladly empty all my cash into FCMB if it falls to 50 Kobo! My apology to those in the Oando train if you're offended by this noble post.

Oando released full year result, fcmb released Q3....Let their full year result come out first. smiley
Oando's 2015 Q3 EPS is/was --N4.18 while that of FCMB is +N0.13; the difference is clear. For the now, FCMB is still an asset while Oando is a liability(based on 2015 Q3 result)!
Oando's 2014 Full Year EPS is/was --N13.44(take note of the minus)!

I have been ringing the warning about fcmb delayed result since last year..Now see wetin dey present after the management have offloaded.... Chia!!! This is a lesson from oando and fcmb, whenever a result is delayed for too long, run...

No company will withhold a good result for too long -- born2berich
FCMB is poor result but with +ve EPS, while Oando is a very poor result but with a very -ve EPS.

At Half Year 2015,84 Kobo was FCMB's EPS.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by EDUECO(m): 12:45pm On Jan 29, 2016
At worst FCMB's 2015 Full Year EPS would be between 65 and 85 Kobo! There is a great probability for an upward movement in price in the short run.

I agree EPS is good but it is not that simple. There are yet other very important factors to consider. You can miss opportunities like FO, Nestle and Beta glass is you follow this rule simplistically,
Investment based on good EPS hardly fails!

To the freshers or newbies, always buy your shares based on EPS,I have learnt this the hard way!
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by EDUECO(m): 11:39am On Jan 15, 2016
The probability of Skye Bank falling to N0.99 again is 1/10,it has a current EPS of N0.86. Equity investment is all about earning or income!
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by EDUECO(m): 6:06pm On Jan 13, 2016
The Nigerian Stock Market has come to stay, new companies would always be listed. Commodities (goods and services) would always be produced for our consumption, and companies get income or earning(remember, income can be positive or negative)from this production process. The Nigerian Stock Exchange creates the avenue for part ownership of Nigerian companies.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by EDUECO(m): 6:05pm On Jan 13, 2016
Stock market investment is far cheaper or easier than Real Estate investment. You can easily buy a part of a company like First Bank of Nigeria with N50,000 or even N5000 and you start earning dividend(s) every financial year. But you can't build or buy a good rental property with N50,000 that can earn you rent. Don't forget you need knowledge to play both investment.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by EDUECO(m):
Equity or Stock Market investment is fundamentally based on earnings or dividends(cash or scrip/bonus),capital appreciation or increase in the price of shares is an added advantage. Real Estate Investment is also fundamentally based on rent or earning, while increase in the rental property is just an added advantage.
Stock Market investment or Real Estate investment primarily should not be executed based on speculation!

Okay sir. Let's wait for the final verdict then! I think emailing SEC or calling them should help as well!
I called the SEC,and I was told they don't deal with individuals. That the SEC only deals with Stockbroking Firms. I think the SEC is just following the 'Nigerian time'!
