Then, we southerners will vote for tilumbu, because it's still our turn
at the end of the day, Tinubu still wins.
PoliticsRe: Any Presidential Aspirant That Leaves The ADC Is Working For Tinubu - Okonkwo by Edygrin(m):
If you think Northern stakeholders created a coalition they hold by more than 80% to then hand over the ticket to Peter Obi then you're dreaming. Atiku will win the primary and by then it will be too late for anyone to decamb. This is a game, and the north has been playing it for years.
PoliticsFocus On 2031 Elections, 2027 Already Settled – APC To Opposition by Edygrin(op): 2:30pm On Mar 25
The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has urged opposition parties to shift their attention toward rebuilding their structures, refining strategies, and preparing for the 2031 elections instead of disputing what it described as concluded 2027 mandates through distractions or unproductive rhetoric.

This position was made known by the Lagos APC Spokesman, Seye Oladejo, in a statement issued on Wednesday addressing recent political discussions and activities of opposition parties both in the state and across the country.

According to the statement, “While opposition parties play an important role in strengthening democratic governance, such participation must be grounded in realism, responsibility, and respect for the mandate freely given by the people. The outcome of recent elections reflects the confidence of Nigerians in the leadership, vision, and developmental trajectory set forth by the APC.

The party also faulted opposition groups for what it described as poor preparation and lack of unity, noting that last-minute alliances formed ahead of primaries point to disorganization.

Rather than dissipating energy contesting settled mandates, we strongly advise opposition elements to focus on rebuilding, re-strategizing, and preparing meaningfully for the 2031 elections,” the statement said.

APC reiterated that governance requires seriousness, adding that its focus remains on fulfilling its commitments, including improving infrastructure, expanding economic opportunities, strengthening security, and enhancing citizens’ welfare.

It further encouraged opposition parties to adopt a more constructive approach by recognizing electoral outcomes and existing political realities.

The road to 2031 offers ample time for reflection, internal reforms, and the development of credible alternatives. Until then, Lagosians expect all political actors to contribute positively to the peace, stability, and progress of our state,” the statement added.

PoliticsAPC Confirms Adoption Of Consensus Option For National Convention by Edygrin(op): 2:17pm On Mar 25
The All Progressives Congress, APC, has confirmed the adoption of consensus to elect its national leaders at the party’s convention scheduled for March 27–28, 2026, in Abuja.

This was disclosed by the Assistant Secretary, Media and Publicity of the APC National Convention 2026, Mrs Mary Ikoku, on Wednesday on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily.

Ikoku said, “APC, for this convention, I am aware and can say that the party is adopting consensus for this convention. As to whether they are adopting consensus for elective positions, I do not have an answer to that because politics is local.

So, I believe that, at the end of the day, when it comes to the issue of elective positions, the persons who would emerge aren’t often what you would want to make consensus in every space.

The 2026 convention spokesperson equally spoke on the provisions of the new Electoral Act, which mandates political parties to register members online within a specified timeframe and outlines modes of candidate selection.

While acknowledging that the provisions pose challenges for all political parties, Ikoku described the opposition’s complaints as a sign of unpreparedness.

PoliticsI Will Help Peter Obi Get LP Ticket If He Loses In ADC – Datti Baba-Ahmed by Edygrin(op): 2:09pm On Mar 25
Former Labour Party Vice-Presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has urged his former boss, Peter Obi, to return to the LP if he loses the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential ticket.

Datti Baba-Ahmed made this call in an interview on Trust TV, monitored by DAILY POST.

He was speaking on the the 2027 general elections and the possibility of Obi getting the ADC ticket.

I have much respect for Peter Obi. If he doesn’t get the ADC ticket, he should come back to the Labour Party please.

I will work for him and try to get him the ticket in the Labour Party. I will try and mend the ways between him and whoever he may have offended,” he said.

Recall that Datti Baba-Ahmed was Peter Obi’s running mate under the platform of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections.

PoliticsDickson Rues ‘Evaporation’ Of PDP, Says Ex-President Jonathan ‘Sad’ About It by Edygrin(op): 12:07pm On Mar 25
Senator Seriake Dickson is unhappy over the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and believes that ex-President Goodluck Jonathan “must be sad” that the party, which produced three presidents since the return of democracy in 1999, has been “killed and buried”.

Dickson spoke on Tuesday as a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today, weeks after he left the PDP for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

When asked if he consulted Jonathan before the move, Dickson, who is from the same state as the ex-president, said, “What I can say is that President Jonathan, while I’m not his spokesman, must be very sad.

I know that if I’m sad, having been this attached to the PDP, you can imagine how sad he will be, having been governor, deputy governor, vice president, and president of Nigeria on that platform, and right before your eyes, that platform is evaporating.”

Dickson ruled Bayelsa from 2012 to 2020 under the PDP and joined the newly registered NDC on March 5. During his official defection, the lawmaker described the party as “our symbol of victory”.

So, my dear Nigerians, you now have a credible alternative opposition party known as the Nigeria Democratic Congress,” the ex-governor said at the ceremony in Abuja.

Yes, it is coming at this time. We would have wished it had started some years or months back; we don’t control INEC and their processes. They delayed. We also don’t control the judiciary, but thank God it has finally arrived.

PDP Left us

The PDP has been embroiled in crisis in the past year, with two groups laying claims to its leadership. Its ranks have also been depleted. Currently, it has two governors after several of them left for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Despite accusations that the major players in the PDP, like Dickson, are leaving the party, the lawmaker said, “It wouldn’t be correct to say that we are leaving the PDP or that I have left the PDP.

The PDP, rather unfortunately, has left us, has left me, because the platform has evaporated and ceased to exist.”

PoliticsGang That Made Buhari President Will Help ADC Remove Tinubu – Dele Momodu by Edygrin(op): 11:31am On Mar 25
A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dele Momodu, on Wednesday said the “gang” that brought late former President Muhammadu Buhari to power in 2015 are ready to help the party’s presidential candidate defeat President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Momodu identified the “gang” to include former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, ex-Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, Abubakar Malami, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and ex-Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal, who are all members of the ADC.

In an interview on Arise News Morning Show, Momodu identified Atiku as his preferred candidate for the ADC’s presidential ticket.

Momodu said, “We have in ADC today two of the leading presidential contestants in the last election, so you do not need to reinvent the wheel. To win an election is not just the crowd or the noise, not just the ideas or how brilliant you are.

Go back to the drawing board and look at how Buhari captured power in 2015, I was a part of those who worked at that time, I wasn’t a member of APC.

Tinubu is so formidable that you are not just going to produce a candidate that would take him out, it doesn’t work that way and I will go around the world. You will remember that Joe Biden was removed by the Democrats in America, then they brought Kamala Harris.

She raised a lot of money which I liked but at the end of the day she could not defeat Trump. Everything was said against Trump but he was able to defeat Kamala.

I have my preference and that is Atiku, in matters of strategy, ADC must go to the part of the country where they are most disgruntled against the ADC. The people who worked for Tinubu to become President were partly in Buhari’s gang and today they are angry that they have been abandoned.

El-Rufai in languishing somewhere in detention, Malami is running up and down, so that team is waiting for ADC to capture. When you go in that direction, you have Atiku, Tambuwal, El-Rufai, and others.

Let ADC go all out to capture, if you pick Atiku he comes from the North-East where APC has the vice president and the region will be very happy to have a President for the very first time.”

PoliticsCourt Dismisses Suit Against Akpabio, Over Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Suspension by Edygrin(op): 7:58pm On Oct 03, 2025
Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a suit filed against the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio challenging the legality of the six months suspension slammed on the Kogi Central Senator Natasha Uduaghan-Apoti over alleged misconduct.

The suit instituted by one Ovavu Illiyasu and nine others was thrown out by the Judge on ground that they have no locus standi (legal authority) to bring the matter before the court.

Marked FHC/ABJ/CS/654/2025, the suit challenged the validity of the suspension of Natasha Uduaghan-Apoti for various reasons.

Among others, the plaintiffs prayed the court to void the suspension of Natasha on the ground that their Senatorial District will ashortchanged recall with immediate effect.

Various grounds were advanced by the plaintiffs for their request for invalidation of the suspension, among which are that their Senatorial District would be shortchanged in the Senate.

In his judgment on Friday, Justice Omotosho held that the 10 plaintiffs lacked locus standi to Institute the action

Resign for what?
So that one day a woman will just wake up and accuse the president of sexual misconduct, the president will resign and hand over to the vice, another woman will accuse the vice of the same thing and so on... You see what that will lead to?

If Saraki did not resign or step down when he was accused of sponsoring a armed robbery ring, then Akpabio has no reason to step down.
