Ive never commented on this issue before, but this is the bitter pill

Relaxing the lockdown was a big mistake, even when the lovkdown was still on, there were cases everyday..its going to get really worse in the next couple of days because the people that have been infected since monday is crazy...look at how people rushed and clustered themselves in banks, and they thought they were save because they wore ankara facemasks, i laugh....

This my fellow country men is the beginning of the end for us all

Apparently, this news is fake

Ifesinachi22:
US Embassy Denies Bishop Oyedepo Visa

A mild drama, Thursday, played out at the Lagos office of the Embassy of the United States as the founder of Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State and Living Faith Church Worldwide, otherwise known as Winners’ Chapel International, Bishop David Oyedepo was denied visa.

But an ace comedian, Abovi Ugboma, popularly known as Bovi was lucky with the embassy as he was issued the visa.

However, his wife, Kris Asimonye, was not as lucky as she was denied the travelling document.

THISDAHY gathered that the embassy did not give any other reason except the standard default explanation that the Bishop did not qualify for visa renewal in its assessment and urged him to try again.

Heaven was, however, let loose, when the obviously flustered preacher and businessman, created scene whilst querying the grounds for his refusal.

Insider said he told the embassy he had been traveling to the states as far back as 1980s and had not violated any rules or committed any crime to have warranted being denied a renewal of his visa.

According to the source, he immediately sent for his bodyguards to get his phones so he could make some calls, but the embassy allegedly told him he could not make calls within the precincts of the visa-issuing section of the embassy.

When THISDAY contacted the embassy for clarifications on why the popular Bishop was denied visa, a staff of the embassy in the media department, requested that an email be sent with the questions and promised to respond as soon as possible.

Curiously, the embassy, believed to be swift to responding to mails, neither acknowledged nor responded to the email sent since 5.05p.m. yesterday till the newspaper went to bed.

Embassy sources however hinted of the possibility that the popular preacher might have made some calls to individuals that would intervene on his behalf and the visa eventually issued.

In the mail sent by THISDAY, three questions were asked: “One, we understand that there was serious drama earlier today, when Bishop David Oyedepo was denied the US visa. However, because we could verify our facts from other applicants at the embassy today, our question, therefore, is on what grounds was a Bishop Oyedepo, known across the globe, denied a visa?

“Our sources in-house had also hinted that given his connection, the CG might likely be contacted and his visa might be issued eventually through a referral. If that’s true, why deny him in the first place?

“We also learnt that the trend of denying prominent Nigerians visa is rampant now, including the Abuja embassy. Is it part of plans to clampdown on Nigerians of a certain category and social status and on what basis?”

Evans211:

Hi, thanks so much for the insight. Your individual inputs have come a long way, hence giving me a sense of direction of what to ask the Graduate coordinator. I await his response, and I hope the deficit won’t be much.

Although I’m currently waiting for 4 other schools;

George Washington Uni
Uni of Kansas
Kansas state Uni
Bowling Greene State Uni

I have until April 15 to accept Texas tech offer. Waiting patiently to see what other schools have to offer.

Until then, I hope to share it with this family (thread) in proxy. Thanks once again!

Im sorry but I'd have to disagree with you on this..I think this sentence "along with the remission of all but a part of the tuition and fees" means only a part of the tuition is covered..my interpretation though

Predstan:

The offer obviously covers his/her tuition excluding the Stipend. See this Sentence "Reinmburse, your tuition and fees". This is a funding that covers majority of your living expenses if not all, and completely waives your tuition

Education / Re: What Was The Craziest Thing You Experienced In Secondary School? by eetzdave(m): 3:18pm On Jan 24, 2020
I must confess, i enjoyed your analysis, it was quite entertaining

oyolohi:
grin grin cheesy

I read all 14 pages (a first on nairaland).

Here's the summary (for those that read page 1-14):

The girl grabbing a guys d;ck in front of his dad was the funniest before the story of the guy that had his d;ck tied to a distant bunk. Damn.
Oh! The boy and girl on the fallen palm tree too!

The most interesting (sex related group) was the story of the girl that begged a guy to Erase her name from a list of noisemakers...he refused. She kissed him deeply as a final strategy in front of the class...which made him literally shred the list!.

The most creepy doesn't go to the guy with the story of a baby that turns into a rat or the one with the anti-gravity girl's hostel but the nursery/primary school girl removing chocolate bars from her vagina to give guys... However, I thought the bars to be extremely small or...

The most Ajekpako... Hmm.. Dem dey plenty sha... The guy on the mango tree, the mirror on assembly ground, the guys clearing an entire farm, cooking porridge in a boarding school,...

The most genius: the 10yr old guy with papers in the exam hall, the students escaping in a school bus, the guys that went 'cricket' partying...

Best with teachers: the most high guy eating the student teacher's pussy and the subsequent bangings (damn... This one ehh).
A guy also claimed to have banged his computer mistress in the lab. Another caught two tutors doing in the science lab.
Another claimed a corper gave him a BJ.

I sure can make a story from the holy ghost anointing session and the abrupt finding of square roots from the (Chapel?) due to sighting a strange being!
The one of the falling mast too!

Majority of the stories are questionable but here: There was a guy that had a party with 3 JSS3 girls in his dorm. Hmm.
One impregnated his form mistress!

The girl that let a 'public admirer' see her peeing... Hmm, either she was very young or she's the I-dun-care type.

The snapping or a girl's bra by a guy and follow up slaps (directed at the wrong guy) was one of the most realistic sex stories.

There's one of a guy holding up a ladder for a girl...getting so hard by the view; periodically helping her down, his d;ck raising up her skirt and rubbing her panties and butt—and the girl enjoying it. The story teller concluded by admitting ejaculation and the girl getting pissed off! "angry", in his wirds... That part was damn funny!

I must admit, trying again after failing is truly a difficult thing, if i remember the whole stress ive been through only to just be dismissed in less than 3 minutes because of the subjectiveness of the vo, my eyes becomes teary. But this f1 visa thing kinda teaches me about life in general, about the determination to fight for what i truly want.. I was a little bit depressed till i read this, though you weren't directly talking to me but somehow i found strength to apply again..thank you all for this forum..God bless

fairheart:
I am glad you took responsibility. That is where the change is. First of all, I will advice that you ditch this school. You will get your visa when there is a major change in your application. Given my experience and that of other students I have communicated with on this forum, using different sponsors hasn't really damaged your chances of getting the visa. You just need to do things right this time.

Yes, you should begin a fresh application for Fall2020, and I recommend that you apply to public schools, and pick program that best align with your undergraduate studies and present employment. This strengthen your chance of getting the F1 visa too. So, I assume a lot will be changing in your application. Also, if you are handling things yourself this time, get all the information the agent used on your DSFORM, and keep that. Make sure you know all the details he used on your behalf. If your academic credentials is cool, there are several schools that will offer you admission. Take it step by step, and lock your focus on this goal--if going to the US for your master's still matters to you.

If you have any specific question, there is always someone here to help. And if it is personal, you can DM me.

Thank you..the interview was going so well, before that..what do you suggest i do?
Im supposed to resume on Monday 13th...would it be wise to book another appointment now, the earliest date in nigeria is at abuja, in 8 days time

I am not sure why you stated the bold. At the end of the day this is an interview and you should also try to sell your self best ....So many applicants daily so a VO needs to make sure they give the better of all the applicants. For a student , aiming to show that i wont drop out of status due to poor academic , not sure why you would say you are afraid of GRE .

Good afternoon everyone..

I have an issue i am confused about and i would need help clarifying it..
I got admitted into a school in July last year which i paid the usual sevis fee, last month i got admitted into a different school which i intend going to.

Do i pay for a new sevis fee or is it transferrable?
If it can be transferred, is there any charges associated with the transfer of the sevis fee?
Id very much appreciate your response..Thank you
