According to reports, the police officers had stormed Atali community in the area to make some arrest and also stabbed a 20-year-old man, Nyebuchi Ihunwo, to death. The young man who was buying roasted corn by the roadside was surrounded by group of policemen who told him he was under arrest. He asked from the police men what his offense was but was ask to remain silent till he reach the station.

In the process of the argument one of the police men on them mission brought out a knife and stabbed the man to death.
Following the incident, the state commissioner of police, Usman Bele, in a statement released, denied the allegation. Stating that ;
The matter that gave rise to this incident is that men of the IGP Monitoring Unit investigating a case of kidnapping, with the aid of technical intelligence, tracked the identified suspects to Atali Community. On arrival, the team identified their targets and immediately arrested them. The suspects raised the alarm and started chanting cult slogans, which attracted members of their gang and youths of the community, who immediately swooped on the police, attacked, overpowered and rescued the two suspects who were in handcuffs.

“In the scuffle that ensued, a police sergeant was seriously assaulted and injuries inflicted on him which led to the rescue of the arrested suspects. Seeing that they have been overpowered, the police beat a fast retreat and went for re-enforcement.
Consequently, when the rampaging cultists/youths sighted the police re-enforcements, they mobilised again in their numbers and one of them with a knife attacked ASP Chukwuma Onuora and as he was to stab him, he defended himself and while they were struggling with the knife. The boy had a cut on his stomach. The same youths took him to the hospital where he later died,” Belel said.

It was gathered this morning been Friday, Apri 19th by EFB news that one of the Ferry on the largest Lake in Imo state capsized due to the laekage which they Ferry has been having months back.

EFB news on investigation gathered that the Ferry which normally have 3-4 ferry boys but today on 1 ferry boy was in the Ferry. The Ferry contains a 911 Vehicle which was well loaded with 100 bags of rice, motorbikes and people.

There was no loss of life they were all rescued but the vehicle with bags of rice is still left in the lake.

Tejiri Direia a female student of Delta State university who is a dropout of the institute has reportedly commit suicide in her Abraka residence.

It was recorded that Tejiri was meant to be in 300l in the department of Nursing before she ended her life.

On that faithful day she entered her room where she locked up herself and took a bottle of insecticide and slumed and die. She was in the room until her odour started disturbing the neighborhood which warrant them to break into the building and noticed her death. Afterwards, they put a call to her parents who never knew their daughter has been sent out of school.

Forgery occurs when the supposed author of a document denies ever making it or denies its authenticity. WAEC has confirmed the authenticity of PMB’s certificate by issuing an attestation of it. Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 elections, says the All Progressives Congress (APC) does not deserve a response after claiming he wasn’t born Nigerian, hence he was ineligible to contest the presidential election in the first place.
INEC had declared President Muhammadu Buhari, candidate of the APC, winner of the election for polling 15,191,847 votes against Atiku’s 11,262,978 votes.
Atiku and the PDP challenged the victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal with a 139-page document, claiming that from the data in INEC’s server, Atiku actually polled a total of 18,356,732 votes while Buhari recorded 16,741,430.
But APC urged the tribunal to dismiss PDP’s petition for incompetence, arguing that Section 131(a) of the Constitution stipulates that a person must be a citizen of Nigeria by birth to be qualified to contest for the office of the President.
“Atiku Abubakar has served our nation diligently in various capacities, form the civil service, where he rose through merit, to the top of his chosen field, to public service, where, by the grace of Hod, he was the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“Afterward, he has been committed to developing our nation through the provision of tens of thousands of direct jobs and hundreds of thousands of indirect jobs.”
Atiku added that those who made Nigeria the world headquarters for extreme poverty are the very people whose Nigerianness should be in doubt, “and not a man who worked with President Olusegun Obasanjo to double the per capita Income of our nation in less than eight years”.

Nigeria is a large country also a very popular country in oil production. Major Nigeria oil producing state areare located in South south region i.e. Niger-delta region of the country. The State’s are ranking as follows Akwa Ibom, Rivers state, Delta state, Bayelsa state, Cross River state etc.
Akwa Ibom: Is currently the largest oil producing areain the country after taking Rivers State’s position. Is populated with over 5 million people according to the last census.
Rivers state: River state was once the largest oil producing state before Akwa Ibom took over. It is populated with over 5 million people according to 2006 census. It is bounded by Atlantic ocean on the south.
Delta State : Is one of the highest producing area and richest state in Nigeria. It is made up of 25 local government areas. Warri is the heart of Delta state and a home of petroleum refineries in the country
Bayelsa State : It is among the oil producing areas with 80% crude oil resources in Nigeria.
Cross River state : It is the fifth oil producing state in the country.
In human development terms, the delta fares somewhat better – poverty rates according to the NBS are said to be lower by half, compared to the rest of Nigeria. Contrary to these findings, over 75% of the people of the delta rate themselves as poor. Despite the oil riches of the delta region, the glaring paradox is that it remains grossly underdeveloped in terms of formal economy, infrastructure and public services. Militancy is just one of the symptoms of the deeply rooted problems in the delta regions. Environmental damage brought about by decades of exploitation; continuous gas flaring, oil spills, illegal refining, oil theft and lenient laws continue to worsen the situation. Multinational oil companies have contributed in part to these hazards. These companies have had to pay compensations to calm volatile reactions from communities and/or penalties albeit at lower rates than international standards.
The agitations of different stakeholders in the Niger Delta have posed a number of pertinent questions around good governance and benefit capture for the oil producing communities. For instance, some communities have claimed that in the past 13 years, their governors have misappropriated over N7.282 trillion received as derivation funds, calling on NEITI and other agencies to intervene in this matter.

According to reports by some national newspapers and EFB private investigation, it is revealed that there is high level of Sexual Activities Among young people in Nigeria.
The age at first sexual debut among young people has continued to decline while the age at marriage has increased in many part of the country.
This widening biosocial gap has increased the number of years that young people engaged in sexual intercourse outside matrimony thereby increasing their vulnerability to several sexual and reproductive health problems.
Nigeria health survey reports that at the age of 20 years over 90% of young people have become sexually active, with large proportion of these occurring with casual and non-conjugal relationships.
Adolescents in Nigeria have variously been reported to be more likely engaged in sex with multiple sexual partners, to prostitution as well as being exposed to sexual abuse.
The Federal Ministry of Health estimates that over 90,000 women die from complications of unsafe abortion in Nigeria annually.
To date, a large proportion of the reported death from AIDS in Nigeria has been among young adults aged 15-25 years, with no evidence of trend towards a reduction in the numbers of deaths.

A part of the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri, Imo State, was yesterday razed by fire, forcing passengers to run for safety.The cause of the blazing, which lasted for more than thirty minutes, was not immediately ascertained, It was learnt that the fire started around 2:00 p.m. at the arrival part of the airport, which was under renovation.
Though no life was lost, it took spirited efforts by men of the fire service and airport workers to put out the blaze.
The General Manager Corporate Affairs of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Henrietta Yakubu, said the fire was “curtailed swiftly” by officers of the Aerodrome Rescue and Fire Fighting Services Department of FAAN, aiding the restart of normal operations at the airport. Yakubu said the authority had commenced preliminary investigations into the cause of the incident.
Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha told reporters: “I have just heard that the Imo Airport is on fire. I don’t know the cause. I am going there now.”Meanwhile, when contacted, the police spokesperson in the state, Orlando Ikeokwu, said he was yet to be properly briefed on the incident.
Efforts to get the management of the airport to speak on the incident did not yield result. One of the senior members of staff, who spoke on condition of anonymity, however said the authority would issue an official statement soon.He expressed regret over the outbreak. He assured that effort was already in place to ascertain the remote cause and forestall future occurrence.
A travel agent, Kenneth, said: “I was at the car park when it all started, with people running away from the scene. It was, first, the smoke coming out and then fire. It all happened so quickly. The fire was quite serious. It was beyond what the workers could handle. So, people had to watch helplessly until the firefighters came, almost an hour after it started.”
Also, a shop owner at the airport, Miss Chinyere Eche, reported that there was an ongoing renovation at the arrival section, which was razed. “Nobody could say the immediate cause of the fire, though some said it could be a problem with electrical connection. There was damage but it could have been much but for the speedy intervention of the men of the fire service and other individuals.”

Facebook user, Eric Doncleaono has just shared the sad story of how his uncle was murdered by his own first son for refusing to sell his land to sponsor him abroad.

Narrating the story, he wrote;

Christopher first son Chidiebere Onoh, a notorious cultist conspired with his friend Sir King n kill his dad, just because his dad refused to sell his land to send him abroad, having sold his late junior brother land and gave the wife and son the money. The two shared the money among themselves and the wife left her matrimonial home to live at Egede for ichaka business while the son moved to an unknown place. After they squandered the money, both came back and insist that Christopher must sell the land to send him abroad which he declined. Chidiebere and his friend Sir king conspired and kill Christopher with dog chain. This is Christopher corpse after he was killed in his parlour, they took the corpse to his bedroom and arrange him in his bed.

EFB News confirmed that Sokoto State University has increased tuition fee by over a 100 percent for the new academic session and issued a seven-day ultimatum for students to comply or withdraw from the university.

According to the reports gathered by EFB news from Comrade Ramadan Mijinyawa, President, National Union of Zamfara State Students (NUZAMSS), the fee increase was unexpected and many students, particularly students from Zamfara State, cannot afford it.
He said the school management added an additional N60,000 to the old tuition fee, which was about N40,000 to N50,000, depending on the department. This brings the new tuition to 100,000 or more.
Mijinyawa said all attempts to appeal to the state government and the school management have fallen on deaf ears.
The students urged the management to reverse the new fee schedule, as majority of them are unable to meet such sudden and steep financial demand.
Yusuf Azeez, a 400 level student of Education Foundation, said she might lose his admission as he is unable to pay the new tuition fee.
Similarly, Aminat Rabiu said she can no longer afford the tuition, and called on the Zamfara State government to intervene so that the additional N60,000 is dropped.
“I cannot afford to pay the just introduced N60,000 as tuition fee, which raised the total amount of my school fee to 94,000,” she said.
“We are praying to Zamfara State government or any important political icon in the state to urgently assist us in other to save our future, because by Monday we will lose our admission if we are unable to pay.”
