Stephen0mozzy: I do not doubt that peace has to be fought for. But I'm saying everyone will lose something to get that so desired "peace".
So far, lives lost hasn't reached any of us, nor our loved ones, nor our source of livelihood, so it's easy to be philosophical and call it collateral damage/sacrifice - I hope y'all still see it as the same when their proxies go on a frenzy and start dragging y'all into pain too. I'm glad you agree that at times peace has to be fought for That said, It's already touched us and our loved ones speaking personally (I don't need to go into details) so I may be sounding philosophical to you but I'm just speaking my truth. You don't cuddle terrorists You don't grant them amnesty You arrange a date for them with their maker |

Stephen0mozzy: If you're salivating about the current war, you have no idea how the war can mess up the world you're living in right now.
Nobody wins in war. On a hypothetical note If it takes a war to rid/weed out terrorisers of a Nation or the world @ large in the long run Would you say it's a small price to pay irrespective of the mess/collateral damage prosecuting same could cause ? |

Jakumo: Now that the USA military is stepping into the fray of Nigeria's war on terror, rest assured good news is on the way VERY soon. In other words if USA didn't step in, we'll be at the mercy of the terrorisers and the government of BAT would be inept. Stop defending the indefensible. Our leaders (past and cureent) haven't been sincere on the issue of security, else terrorism would have been excised long ago. It's more worrying and painful considering the humongous amounts budgeted yearly for defence. |

Fekumzi123: Our dad died three months after celebrating his 86th birthday. Before then, I've been hearing that once you celebrate some aged people's birthday, then you want them to die. Now, they want us to celebrate our mums 80th birthday. Don't know if I'm in or out yet. Lol won't she die eventually ? Oboy celebrate her when she's alive. She'll definitely appreciate that more than viewing from behind the pearly gates. Happy birthday to her |

Yujin: Thank God the video is there and everyone can see what exactly happened. Yes, she was heavy handed which was very wrong. But seeing that it was during a one on one teaching session which probably was the teacher going extra mile to help him get his work right, I as his parent won't be too mad at her. He didn't sustain any injury nor was he crying as to show excessive pain. This shows that there was a level of restraint from her although her actions are unacceptable. There was no shouting, insults or cursing from the teacher. This shows she was still collected and in control of the situation despite not getting the expected result from the kid. She's at fault though and more should be demanded from her but it shouldn't be an overkill. Prejudice and sentimentality can make one alter proportionate judgement. Intentions and actions are things a good judge consider before delivering a verdict. Having already said that her actions are unacceptable, every other stuff you tried to say there is simply bunkum/hogwash |

Gistmedia10: The Cross River Government, led by Governor Bassey Otu, has demolished a historic monolith structure.
Reports indicate that it has been replaced with a statue of Jesus Christ as a shepherd leading his flocks. Additionally, the flag of Israel has been hung on the staff of the statue.
The monolith, known as the Ikom monoliths, is part of a series of volcanic-stone monoliths from the area of Ikom. The Ejagham people are believed to have engraved the monoliths around 200 CE.
The monolith stands between 0.3 and 1.8 metres (1 and 6 feet) high and is laid out in some 30 circles located around Alok in the Ikom area of Cross River State.
This change has sparked mixed reactions on social media. Madness |
