This is commendable by the Akwa Ibom State government. The state is gradually becoming and industrial and commercial hub. Lagos should watch out as they may soon be given a run for their money |
Rest in peace Niger Delta General. |
There is no free lunch. Nigeria should tread carefully with China or they could be the next victims. Our oil assets could be seized |
Nigerian politics is never about issues but theatrics |
The problem with Nigeria is that we refuse to condemn what is wrong if we are involved or have vested interest. Election debates are neccesary as candidates use the opportunity to sell themselves and it also gives the electorates an opportunity to access candidates and make their choice. What is wrong is wrong. There must be debates at all levels |
Well president Jonathan, i didnt exactly like Aneni's brand of politics because it was do or die politics. The same way i don't like the politics of people like Tinubu or Amaechi. Elections should be about people being free from intimidation and manipulation to make their choice |
PassingShot:Even if this report was true, size of economy is different from growth rate. Growth rate is significant because it shows a trend and what to expect. Nigeria became the poverty capital of the world because instead of growing we were shrinking. The more your ecomony grows the more wealth and abundance is made available and more people lifted out of poverty |
Politics is a call to service . People who are not ready to stomach abuses or being called names shouldn't venture into politics as it comes with the turf. He could have simply ignored those followers or used it as an opportunity to sell himself to them. I would be surprised if he wins up to 500 votes with such attitude. |
Unraveling the owners of Instablog isnt a big deal since they have a bank account. Just get an insider in the bank to check the signatories to the account and the passport photographs. Unless the real owners are using proxies to run their corporate account which i doubt . |
Originakalokalo:Bros the churches were shut down because they were operating illegally not that the country wants to shut down churches. Churches must obey they laws of the land. |
ifenes:Well churches give people hope. Imagine in a country as ours if people had no hope of a better future. There will be mass suicides as so many people are going thru so much. Agree like i said some fraudsters have infiltrated the faith but you don't throw away the baby with the bath water. Some churches also feed the poor, offer scholarships and assistance to the needy. They also provide counseling services free of charge to distressed or traumatized persons. They can definitely do more but at least they are doing something. What have you done for your family or the people around you? |
okwabayi:I honestly believe that churches and most faith based organizations are good for the society. Agreed there are bad eggs amongst them but these are not enough reasons to condemn all. Lots of them are involved in some for of charity and community service. Imagine if there were no churches, do you think the society will be better off? |
The Angolan government has recently shut down at least 34 churches in the country following an operation dubbed Operação Resgate (rescue operation), according to police sources. The churches were shut down for operating illegally. The police operation commenced on November 6, and is expected to continue till the end of the year. 19 churches were closed in Cabinda Province, 11 in Luanda and 4 in Malanje Province, according to Mr Orlando Bernardo, the national police director for communication. The Angolan government had recently declared that over 50 percent of churches in the country were foreign and that at least 1,116 of them were operating illegally. The churches originated from countries like Nigeria, DR Congo, Brazil and Senegal according to the government. Operação Resgate (rescue operation) is not only targeting instituting order in worship; but also on the roads, fighting unregulated hawking and illegal migrations in addition to others. In its first week of operation, it arrested at least 509 people for various crimes. Among those detained included three foreign nationals; two from DRC and one from Republic of Congo. In addition the Angolan authorities have repatriated 26 DRC nationals as a result of illegal stay in Zaire Province; as confirmed by the Foreign and Emigration Services (SEM). 16 people were repatriated from Luvo, 6 from Nóqui and 4 from Kimbumba border point, according to SEM. Zaire Province is about 481Km north of the Angolan capital Luanda; and the cross border Luvo market plays host to an estimated 1,000 businessmen and women from Angola, Republic of Congo, Namibia and DRC.

By default, most Windows Pc come with a recovery partition, typically hidden but at times, visible under My Computer / This PC. To prevent someone else accessing your recovery partition, especially those who might not be so knowledgeable in using a computer, it is best you hide it. You can hide your recovery partition by removing the partition’s drive letter but it can be viewed through disk management tools and would not be shown in other desktop applications and in Windows Explorer. This can be achieved through the graphical Disk Management Tool. To open this utility option on Windows 7, open your start menu and type hard disk into the search box, and then click the Create and format hard disk partitions shortcut. From this, navigate to the partition you intend to hide, which is the recovery partition using the correct drive letter. And on Windows 10, you can use the shortcut – Windows key + X or simply right click the start button and then click Disk Management option. Right click on the drive letter assigned to the recovery partition and select the Change Drive Letter and Paths command. Sometimes, you might not see any other option aside the Help option, there’s no need to fret; you will need to use a utility called diskpart command to remove the drive letter associated with the recovery partition as the graphical interface wouldn’t allow you do so. You can do this by selecting the drive letter you intend to remove, in this case the drive letter assigned to the recovery partition, and click the remove button and then click on OK. Archetypally, each partition has just one drive letter and Windows would normally warn you that programs may not run correctly if you remove the drive letter. You will see a message like, “ If you installed an application on this drive or stored important files on it, you won’t be able to access them while the drive doesn’t have a letter assigned to it”. Click Yes to continue. And if the drive is currently being used, you will be warned that you must restart your PC to effect the changes. Click Yes again and restart your PC. The drive won’t be perceptible any longer in Windows after you are done with the process. For you to make this drive visible again in future, you also go back to the Disk Management utility tool, and select the Change Drive Letter and Paths command, and click the Add button to add a drive letter to it. Kindly assign the same letter it had before and everything would work properly, including all installed application on the drive before you removed its drive letter. N/B: Ensure you reassign the same drive letter as it had before when you’re attempting to make the recovery drive visible again for the drive to function properly. I hope this helps.

The excuse that governors cannot pay N30k minimum ia an example of what is wrong with Nigeria. Governors and political appointees are enjoying large salaries and other perks in office but when it comes to salaries of already underpaid and impoverished workers, there is suddenly no money. Hard decision which may include laying off some workers to build an effective and efficient work force needs to be taken. |

Typically, your online status and last online can be viewed by your friends. You can choose to hide your status now, if you don’t want your friends to know your current status. Due to personal reasons, ranging from just coming online to read messages probably due to a busy work schedule, to wanting to keep people from knowing when you have read their messages, to just wanting to keep privacy online. The following are steps to follow to hide your WhatsApp status: Open WhatsApp, you would see three little dots in the top right corner, tap it and select Settings option (in Android supported phones) or tap Settings in the bottom bar on iOS supported products. Click on Account and then tap Privacy option Select the Last seen entry and then tap the Nobody option. Voila! Currently, no one can see when you were last online on Whatsapp. Remember also that with this feature active on your WhatsApp application, you also would not be able to see other people’s online status. If you would wish to know when others are online then they’d also need to know when you’re online, pretty reasonable conditions right?

That Atiku opposed restructuring when he was VP doesnt mean he cant become a latter day convert. The APC also promised restructuring while trying to get to power only to deny on achiving their aim. Nigeria as presently constituted is a failed state and will continue so untill we begin to do things differently. Insanity they say is " doing things the same way and expecting a different resuly" |
OriginalKogiboy:Very true, unlike lots of other rich people who don't have a fraction of his net worth. He is a friend of every government in power |

Hmmmm. Emir Sanusi is a man who stands by his convictions regardless of whose ox is gored. I hope he wont run into trouble with the politicians and go the way of his grand father. A traditional ruler of his standing should be less emotional in making statements that could heat up the polity. |
Empty rhetorics. I expected something more robust considering all the issues raised against you Mr SAN. Our electioneering must be about issues devoid of mud slinging. Oga Keyamo, you dey fall hand big time |
El rufai has always been controversial and that is the problem with most small people. The like to show that they are big and strong in their shadows despite the small size you see around them |
All politicians in Nigeria have marabouts or political pastors backing them. Stop making a fool of yourself and focus on more important issues. |
