Na why all these investments managed by government people don begin fear me since late last year ooo. Coupon and matured bills are no longer paid as and when due. The CP that defaulted that day, I was immediately notified of the default by the Arranger and I was given a timeline of payment. Before it even get to the day they promised to pay, they already paid. The only issue I have with them is that there were 2 CP opening that I would have reinvested and the 2 closed before I got the money but then you get more communication and accountability.

Yes but they are still some not yet paid..

I know of 3YR FGSB OFFER FOR SEPTEMBER 2021 which matured on the 15/09/2024. The last coupon was supposed to be paid on that day along with the principal but it wasn't. In fact only the principal was paid after like 3 days of maturity.

I heard last month payments were delayed too. So, something is definitely not right.

This is true cos mine has not yet come 3rd coupon payment
I think they only payed the June 2027 own but there are many more left to be paid

You have just written my plan i did this in 4 months so every month i get paid which I use the money to cover my monthly bills, every day now I wake up sad and scared thinking what will happen if I dont get this money how would I take care of my family all my life savings have been put in this bond and now this.

What broke my heart today was when i sent a mail to my broker that i wanted to sell they replied that the bonds are not liquid so i may not get buyer.....I would have loved to sell all 4 immediately

Very wrong signal. Some coupon are due more than a week now yet no payment. The only response to my personal message from is that the CBN is sorting out the data. Very lame excuse. All payments that are due since last week to this week have not been paid. For the one that matured, they only paid the principal bar the interest.

I have already decided that how ever juicy rates are I will start soft peddling from government investment in this dispensation because there seem to be no limit to how low they can go and they can make just any promises to get what they want but won't stick to it. No regards to how things should be done, at all.

Oh boss so you can confirm that they paid the principal amount to those that matured then this means there’s hope 😅

I just got off the phone with someone who works in the DMO (Debt management office). He said the Fédéral government is struggling to pay workers and local debt may be delayed or a default is possible.

So brace yourselves for the worst.

We sincerely apologize for the delay in the payment of your coupon.

We have received the below feedback from CSCS this morning with regards to the payment.
We are having issues with the confirmation of funds for all coupon payments from the CBN.

Hopefully, this will be resolved today.

With no public holidays within those dates, the stakeholders need to do better. The palpable nonchalance is nauseating.

Ok Sorry for the assumption. I was thinking it's the one for June 2024. That said, you have been lucky with it. Even though that's how it should be, in most cases it's not always that way especially because it is government run. Most times in this dispensation the payments are done a day or 2 after and where it involves weekends and public holidays it could be more. So, just exercise some patience it will come.

No you are not alone. That payment is actually supposed to be on 15 which is a Sunday and this was to come on Monday now instead but another problem again is that the Monday is a public holiday. So you should start expecting it from Tuesday.
