Kemmy06:Presently the book is out of stock. When ever we have it again I will let you all know. |
Godmother:Depends on the measurement of the person. You can get the measurement on the side. From your waist measure down to the part where your bottom ends.thats where your crouch depth is.if I get image of it I will post it.so take the measurement again and let's see how it goes.there is no standard measurement every body has a measurement ![]()

kendraloops:The answer is yes......... surprised? Let me explain.the process of learning fashion designing is very basic any one can do it really.but to be a commercial fashion designer one MUST be very creative.there are many extremely good designers out there that if there is nothing special about the way you sew your clients will just move on to the next designer.ok let's look at it from another angle.its no news that most big names in the fashion industry the CEOs of those fashion houses actually don't seat on the sewing machine to sew the outfits themselves, instead they employ qualified tailors who do the actual job while they direct the process. Now when that CEO employs a tailor without creativity chai oga go dey vex every time )But they will manage somehow only the process will be slow. That's why before well established fashion house recruit new staffs they must pass though series of test before they are finally employed.they are given fabrics to create some thing that will woa ![]() Some fashion houses will not even take a students that just graduated. While some will not take any one not having at least 5 years work experience from another reputable fashion house. so where anyone can become a tailor only a creative mind can move to the rank of an amazing designer ![]() |

Now that we have cut our front and back blocks its time to cut the peplum circumference My waist is 37.i fold my fabric into four to cut.i want my peplum to have big pleats so I will cut my waist area to be more than 37 inch in the end.
|
Next is my back.i am using the same 24 by 16 also as my fabric placed on fold not forgetting 1.5 seam allowance too.I shape out my neck and the arm hole area then I use the bust apart measurement in front to get the dart at the back also.next I mark out my zip allowance and seam allowance. At the end this is what I get.
|
This is in ogba a bus away from Ikeja.www.valisimofashions.com Plus you get a free sewing machine just for registering during the promo.very affordable too. ![]()

When cut out it looks like this
|
Now ,I mark out my neck depth and my bust apart is what I use to divide the fabric into 3. I mark out my upper bust bust and under bust so i cut the bust cut.then I mark out my arm whole
|
EFOSAVAL: Explanation before diagram and picturesThe front block has to be divided into three parts and so the I must factor in seam allowance for joining that part.1 inch for each joining that makes 2 inch extra to the 22 for the joining So I have 24 inch placed on fold for my front block |
Our promo is on. Come get yours. items finishing fast.call or whatsapp us on 08096577157 for more details. U could add us on bb too 7904911C

Ok warding is a fusible fabric used to add weight to they main fabric.its thicker in texture than airstay. Some use it on the whole fabric, I just use it to pad the bust area. The measurement question. There is measurement by length ( that measures every thing measured from your shoulder down.) Then there is measurement by circumference (every thing measured round the body on any part.) That's why there are 2 measurement there. Pls use this explanation to figure it out. The bust are has the upper bust ,the bust and the under bust line.u are to measure the length and circumference. The half length question. Obviously 21 is too long even mine in the measurement I posted I have 16 as my half length. U are not to measure all the way to your navel coz it's a top we are making and not a gown. |
Some call it point to point.or tit to tit for me as long as we know what it means ( :Dthen no probs ![]() |
