How did I get that line coming from the arm hole down? From where my shoulder stops I measured 1inch down for my shoulder slant.then I measured 5inch down again.I then connected it to my point to point measurement which is 4.5
Here is the back. I take 2inch first for the center seam at the back I still use my upper burst .burst and under burst measurements divided by 2 plus 5 inch for seam to get my back The only difference is that I am not going to shape out that burst curve I shaped for the front
From shoulder I measured all my length area down.that helped me to know where to place all my circumference area on the accurate line of my length Which are first I take out my full length 26+ 2 for seam= 28 . Seam allowance 1inch for shoulder joining Neck depth 2.5 after sawing it will be 3"inch Upper bust 8 on that line I will place my 24.5 on fold Bust line is 11,on that line I placed my 25 on fold too. Under bust is 14, on that line I will make sure I get 23 placed on fold by reducing the measurement.at this point I will cut out the exccess from the mid point after my point to point which I made 4.5 placed on fold The next step is to cut it out on fabric and lining. Hope the pictures tell the story more. |
All that story and drawings. This is the main thing. Toluh thanks o ![]() I used my divided measurements to cut out my front bodies using my point to point measurement which is 8 to get the front opening .when placed on fold it will be 4.also I need to add seam allowance that gives me 4.5 after my 2inch for bottom area
EFOSA VAL: Same thing applies to the upper bust, and under bustNote that the 2inch for botton is still there .now divide the 1inch by 2 ,we have half and add it to the 8 we have 8.5 on our shoulder. Out of it I will take 3 inch for my neck the rest is for shoulder. So I placed my upper bust ,bust, under bust measurement using my length and circumference
EFOSA VAL:Same thing applies to the upper bust, and under bust Upper Bust 39 ÷2 =19.5 +5 =24.5 Under bust 36 ÷2=16 +5 =21 Now I will place my fabric on fold. Mark out 2 inch for the botton area. Then I mark out my neck area am using 3inch across my shoulder and 2.5inch for shoulder down. I then measure out my point to point which placed on fold will be 4.note that I must add seam allowance to this 4 which would make it 4.5 My shoulder is 16 16÷2= 8 placed on fold I shall also add seam allowance 1inch to it
EFOSA VAL: MATERIALS NEEDED let's goThe next step is to chat out our measurement areas on our fabric. For clear understanding follow these steps. 1, Identify your key point areas (circumfrence measurement )and divide all by 2. Bust 40 , waist 35 ,Hip 42 2, After the division add 5inch to each divided result for seam allowance. So u will have Bust 40 ÷2= 20 + 5= 25 Waist 35 ÷2= 17.5 + 5=22.5 Hip 42 ÷2= 21 + 5 =26 |
