Who are they deceiving? To tell me dat PMB will decline signing d budget cos of dividend of democracy due to a SS area of Calabar is a white lie aimed at setting up d natnl assembly against d masses, make Bubu appear as pan-Nigerian and as usual shift dia usual blame game to d doors of d legislators since Gej blame transfer strategy is not working any longer. This same budget FEC review dat he refused to attend is now this important. For God's sake d lifeline people have been hoping dat cud jumpstart the restoration of d economy is d signing into law of this budget but that appears to v ran into troubled murky waters of politics. These guys are really insensitive, kakistocratic and directionless. What happened to sending supplementary budget for any gray areas while implementing d ones dat are well appropriated. Obj u see ur advice dat he can run without budget till June?. If d budget is being suspended cos of this then d Bubu travel to China shd be put on hold till it is sorted out but alas d junketeer will be off this morning. If d natnl assembly shd be alive and active they must not approve everything sent to her lest they become rubber stamp. No sane Nigerian will support any action dat will push d country into foreign debt again . It is most painful dat most of us are extremely resilient, fanatically docile and annoyingly cowardly. In saner climes, 'Occupy Nigeria ' shd v been a daily routine now but we r all here bashing ourselves. Shame

Cyojunior:
Is It Because It Is Buhari? I marvel at the way and manner
we think in this country, worst of it the way they think in the
north. It is just a few months ago that we all continually
lambasted president Jonathan's cluelessness, people
referred to him as the "drunken master of Otuoke", and
nobody harassed me, and now because they fear the power
of the media that brought them to power they want to
castrate the social media, with Buhari firing the first shot in
an interview with Sahara reporters' Adeola in New York,
why, Is it because it is Buhari? We demonstrated against
pump price increment for petrol, government of president
Buhari wants us to swallow the same pill we rejected a few
months ago, yet some of my northern compatriots see
nothing wrong with that, Is it because it is Buhari? When
three sons of Sheik Zakzaky were murdered during the
Jonathan administration, El-Rufa'i called it genocide by the
jonathanian army, now under Buhari more than 200 are
killed, their mosque and houses destroyed under Elrufai's
nose as Governor of the same state, he has not called it
genocide by the Buharian army, Is it because it is Buhari?
Under the Jonathan administration subsidy payments were
termed as fraud, and there were hues and cries to crucify
oil marketers, Buhari even called it a fraud himself, we also
thought so, six months later the same Buhari is paying for
subsidy yet nobody is calling it a fraud, why, Is it because it
is Buhari? We criticized Jonathan for keeping a large fleet in
the presidential fleet and wasting monies on maintenance,
only recently President Buhari's spokesman admitted 2
billion Naira was spent on their maintenance, when other
Presidents are even doing away with their jets, yet we sit
down and watch helplessly, Is it because it Buhari? Fuel
scarcity is biting harder, value of the Naira is going rock
bottom, inflation is now on auto pilot, while profits are
dropping, purchasing powers are becoming weaker, yet we
are asked not to query them, Is it because it is Buhari? If we
criticized Jonathan for cluelessness, we will also criticize
Buhari for helplessness. While tribal and regional jingoists
see nothing because it is Buhari, what I see first is Nigeria
and not whether Jonathan is a southerner or Buhari is a
Northerner. We Cannot continue to be trapped in the closet
of tribalism, regionalism and religious bigotry yet expect
our country to remain one and grow. Yes! we might be of
different orientation and background but what is good is
good anywhere any time and what is bad is bad. I cannot be
suffering and keep smiling because "my brother" is the
President.
Excellent. Even d office of First Lady was chastised by them before election but just to re-christen it Wife of d President with the same roles.

RICHIFA14:
Falana to DSS: release Zakzaky within 24 hours
April 05, 2016
Activist-lawyer Femi Falana (SAN) has demanded the unconditional release of leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) Sheik Ibraheem Zakzaky and his wife, Hajia Zeenat Ibraheem from unlawful detention
In an April 5 letter to the Director-General, Department of State Services (DSS), Falana said his clients were denied access to their family and doctors since their arrest.
Falana said last December 12, thousands of armed soldiers allegedly unleashed violent attacks on IMN members in Zaria, Kaduna State on the orders of the Chief of Army Staff, General Tukur Buratai who claimed that the unarmed civilians wanted to assassinate him.
The lawyer said although his clients were not at the scene of the attack, the rampaging troops invaded their residence at Wali Street, Zaria last
December 14.
“The troops set the building ablaze and killed three of our clients’ children in their presence and thereby subjected them to untold mental agony.
“Thereafter, the armed soldiers shot our clients several times. As a result of the brutal attack Sheik Zakzaky lost his left eye while doctors are currently battling to save the right one.
“While in custody, both of them have gone through many surgical operations to extract bullets from their bodies,” Falana wrote.
To compound the physical pain and mental anguish his clients were subject to, Falana said the police and the DSS have held them incommunicado for over three months.
He recalled that during a similar attack in 2014 allegedly by a detachment of the Army, three of Zakzaky’s children were also killed without any lawful justification.
Falana said the report of the fact finding Commission of Enquiry set up by the government was yet to be released, while the military personnel who allegedly killed his clients’ children and other unarmed civilians have not been brought to justice.
Some of the victims who survived the deadly attacks, Falana said, have been charged with culpable homicide and sundry offences by the Kaduna State Government.
“Notwithstanding that such criminal charges are pending at the Kaduna High Court, the Kaduna State Government has set up a judicial Commission of Enquiry to investigate the same subject matter.
“Even though our clients have not been told that they breached any law, they have been denied access to their lawyers, personal physicians and family members for over three months.
“Our clients were only permitted to meet with us last Friday after several requests made by us had been turned without any legal basis.
“In the light of the foregoing, our clients and members of the IMN have resolved not to participate in the proceedings of the said Judicial Commission of Enquiry in any manner whatsoever and howsoever.
“Finally, we hereby demand for the immediate and unconditional release of our clients from illegal detention within 24 hours of the receipt of this letter,” Falana said.

One by one every zombiest will soon join d wailing team. With Falana d draconian mindset of this kakistocratic govt will be better exposed. The killing of unarmed protesters across d country by this govt will be dia greatest undoing in nearest foreseeable future. Nig govt and her Army hierarchy must answer d important question of who gave d order to shoot unarmed citizens from this Shiite to d 5% constituents whereas d Fulani herdsmen are freely showcasing their arms across d nation with impunity. D most painful part is dat all d Right activists have suddenly activated their hibernation modes.

DIKEnaWAR:
I have to applaud this paper and their reporters for doing a thorough job. This is unlike the usual; " he neither picked his calls or replied to sms as at the time of going to press" or "our source who didn't want his name in print" that has characterised the Nigerian media. Kudos!

They might succeed in getting Saraki out of office, but truth is; Nigerians are tired of their leaders playing politics all day round and leaving state craft to drift and suffer. This country is without a pilot now and all efforts should be geared towards rescuing it from plunging downwards. I wish us safe landing.
I honestly concur with u on d balanced and didactic reportage of this media outfit on this topic. Whoever edited this piece got my 5 stars and has upped my regard for Daily Trust cos I used to see this quality from only Thisday or Guardian. Honestly d exit of Saraki marks d resurrection of pdp cos Ekweremadu appears favoured from all yardstick including ranking & cognate experience, assuaging d 5% South East , a constitutional lawyer par excellence and above all a team player who understands d inner workings of d natnl assembly and who must not be pushed around by d executive. Either way it goes Saraki wins.
