Hope i wont spoil the mood? anyways,

We lost our pegnancy @ 19weeks to what the Dr referred to as 'PPROM'(Preterm premature rupture of the membrane).
A really terrible experience as my wife's water broke(we initially tot it was just urine) for apparently no reason what so ever, labour had to be induced as the babies had no chance of survival due to the resulting shortage in amniotic fluid levels. Previous scans and check up showed all was as shld be expected.

The Drs were unable to give us a clear cut reason as to what triggered the rupture , the best they cld postulate was that it happens, and its more common with multiple pregnancies(we were expecting twins).

Need all the advice/input we can get

known triggers are;

1) stress,(we were just lying in bed chatting when it occurred as such i ruled it out )


2)UTI (she was recently treated for this @ 12 weeks and the DR ruled it out),


3)cervical incompetency(which was also ruled out as her cervix were still closed 32 hrs after rupture)

4)multiple pregnancy (we were expecting twins)

Am yet to fully come to terms with our Loss but my main interest is how to prevent a re occurrence ... any 1 with useful tips should pls feel free to drop a hint or 2.

I personal suspect the malaria medication we were given a week b4 the incidence (LONART) although the Dr said it cldnt be as we were in our second trimester, I am yet to be convinced, as i mysef get knocked out by the LONART drug how much more a permeable membrane like the amniotic sac. more over, a couple of people have shared cases of miscarriages after taking malaria medication(hence my mere hypothesis)

Need ans as well as success stories frm peeps with similar incidence who went on to have full termed babies after miscarriages due to PPROM.

I am still off the opinion that the FRSC is jus another bogus Gov. establishment that is yet to make positive impact to the lives of the everyday Nigerian.

They basically perform mundane tasks (duplicated and equally performed by VIO and the Nigeria police force)and are yet to justify the huge billions that is expended in form of salaries and other overheads. Despite the many short falls of LASTMA in lagos ,they still tend to bring a form of sanity to the lagos roads.

Federal Road safety Corps i believe have the mandate to ensure our roads are safe to ply (not issuance of fines and levies to defaulting Drivers).
It is a knwn fact that the no 1 hazard on our roads, is the very road it self.I will rather the FRSC brings out a blue print as regards how to improve the state/ condition of our roads...

Methinks the reason behind its(FRSC) inefficiency is the fact that they impose fines and levy's on defaulting drivers(Can we imagine how the Nigerian police will be if it were empowered to write receipts and fines for erring individuals?)

I fail to see how the acquisition (@ our usual inflated contract amount) of a mere radar gun will help to astronomically change the no of lives lost due to the terrible nature of our notoriously acclaimed 'Nigerian Roads' as for the quality of the cars which ply them, that is another chapter in general.

The FRSC should be more holistic in its approach.

OP,I say bring down the roof if it will make u better.That way,ur hubby will realise u are hurt and ask him,if he would be finding it funny if he caught you in same scenario. If you take it lying low,then he'll think u don't mind so he'll continue in his sin more comfortably.Next tym might be ur matrimonial bed..

but other than the alleged quality of the tyres you purchased i strongly believe (like some 1 mentioned earlier) that your tyres were over inflated.
i have Gt radial tyres that i have been using 4 2yrs now (although i was advised to buy Indonesia rather than the made in china, which i strongly recommend)
and i have traveled to Warri frm lagos a couple of times with no bump issue on my tyres.
i strongly advice you pay proper attention wen nxt yr tyres are been inflated ,
44psi was what was prescribed for my 15rim tyres as inscribed on them but a road side vulcanizer inflated it to as much as 50 psi untill i spotted it and made him deflate it.
1s again sorry 4 yr loss but thank God the damage was minimal as no life was lost.

parked my car,a silver honda civic 92 model with registration no US 697 KjA@ e centr yaba @abt 7.10pm las night returned by 8.pm n discoverd it had been stolen.
went 2 sabo police station to file a report n was told my car was d 2nd one dat was stolen dat night apparently its a norm @ e center for peeps to park their cars @ designated spots only 4 dem 2 b stolen.security on hand claims they do not cover d entire perimiter jus those parked infront .
